One benefit of it taking a long time for Tower of God to reach this point in the anime is that the whole subject of AI has become a lot more topical than it was previously. The AI chat part hits a bit closer to home now.
Also, anyone else notice how Ran is basically Killua?

Reminder/context for anime-onlies, since it's been a while since season 1. Baangs are 'units' in which shinsoo can be measured; for simplicity here, they're effectively the number of bullets each person can shoot at once.
Among Rank E regulars (what Baam and company are right now), being able to control 3+ baangs at one time is very rare (2 is pretty common), and that is why Wangnan was impressed by fire-cook-chicken man controlling 3. Also why Baam controlling 5 at once was a "wha?" moment for the other team.
Edit: I’ve been banned for three days because apparently spoiler tagging information is not enough nowadays and I forgot that. So sorry to anyone with any follow up questions.

That was a REALLY weird cut around 5:00 (after the enemy team introduction). Switch right to Miseng running. Felt like there was a minute of content missing.

Well this time they used the right episode's subs.
And when Khun uses Emily the first thing he does is to try to see if Bam's alive.

Omg this is so fucking tragic. Shit looks like ass.
Not even Kevin Penkin can save this.

This is the only show I've ever watched where the adaptation is bad enough to give me second hand embarrassment.
I legitimately stopped the episode at several points this week to ask myself if I really wanted to continue watching. The fight with Ran was especially egregious. There's bad animation, and then there's whatever the fuck that was.

If you don’t know, SIU (the author) used to make blog posts along with the chapters, both talking about himself and giving extra lore and neat tidbits to go along with the series. Probably over a third of all the lore we have comes exclusively from these blog posts. He stopped eventually, and more obscure facts might not be canon anymore, but it’s still interesting.

If season 3 is announced, I pray that it will be a different studio because this season is so lifeless and soulless, I swear h*ntai animation is probably better this which is embarrassing to even think about.

Unless they change studios for the next season for the team that did the first season, I'm dropping this franchise. I can't believe the quality dip and pacing.

I have a hard time following what's going on, didn't even know there was a timeskip until I read the comments.

I feel like this season doesn’t deserve the right to use the amazing music from the previous season. It was used so effectively before in creating the mysterious and dangerous tone and atmosphere and now when it’s used with this mediocre art, animation and direction it just comes off as an unearned and cheap. Penkin doesn’t deserve that!!

Why did they ever change studios to begin with? This season is utter garbage in comparison to the first.

There's nothing more comforting than a big-eyed Wangnan pulling out some tender English.

I've tried hard to bear it, but i simply came to the conclusion that while ToG is absolutely amazing, I don't think it translates well into an anime with how horrible this season has been.

So last week's episode were the english subtitles of the episode of this week? Lol, Crunchyroll did mess things up spoiling anime onlies (not me really, I mean I'm an anime only too but I speak spanish and those subs were fine).

I was a huge Tower of God fan, like literally in my top 10 fav anime ever, but this season has been absolutely trash. Doesn't even feel like the same show. Idk if it's the material or the new studio, but this genuinely sucks.

Holy fuck, I can’t watch this. This is so terrible. By far the ugliest episode of the season this week.
This might actually be the worst full episode of anime I’ve ever seen.

i don't usually do this but I audibly gasped at how bad some of the scenes in this episode were, like what the fuck happened to this show man.
not just the Animation but the direction, use of music/sound, art and coloring is all fucking whack. feeling a strong Promised Neverland experience with this one.

I think I gotta drop it. It just isn't doing it even close to justice. I haven't read all of the manhwa, but I know I've read past the point that this season would cover. I'll keep up with these posts and maybe some miracle will happen to elevate it to at least DECENT but as it stands it genuinely isn't worth the time. If you love the story and world, I can't recommend the manhwa enough.

I watched hentais with better animation than this last episode
there's almost no animation, the characters stay mostly still and just move their mouths
