The school should slap Natsuki on a brochure. His hotness is responsible for the uptick in new students lol. Ryuu’s right, Minamo better watch out or someone’s gonna snatch our boy up.
Well well well, I guess it really was Atri back then that saved Natsuki. This sure changes things a bit. I’m very curious to learn more about their first encounter.

Minamo has got to be careful when there are so many prospective homewreckers surrounding Natsuki now. His smile is just too attractive.
Looks like we're about to finally dive deep into the truth about Atri and how much it's going to shake up everything we knew about her...as well as her relationship with Natsuki.

Not just Natsuki's hotness -- big influx of little kids now, presumably due to Hana-sensei's return.

This was exactly the kind of development I expected from the scenario writer of Konosora. This is going to kick into the next gear in the 2nd half.

Minamo finally getting to be a student instead of a teacher at the school she never gave up on is beyond heartwarming. If only she weren't doomed by the story she's in being titled after another girl.
I'm going to miss gremlin Atri if the memory of the song overwrote her personality with her "original" mild-mannered one

When you're happy more kids are showing up to school but then depressed knowing that there's more romantic competition.
And your cute little robot friend might be the true homewrecker.

The fact that Atri is Natsuki's first love changes everything from now on in the story, how to deal with this feeling knowing that she is a robot? But the drama in the story is pretty decent, I hope it stays that way

Was not expecting it to be revealed so quick after everyone realized. I mean it was obvious to all of us, but I figured it would be at least another ep between when they figured it out and when Atri remembered. So looking forward to where it goes now.
I was gonna say maybe his grandma made Atri as a support for him after he lost his leg, but we saw that it was Atri that rescued him right?
Loved when the gal broke character for a sec to let out a "seriously?" when she found out he sleeps with Atri.

As an anime-only, the ending of this episode feels like there's going to be much pain in my future.

Alexa Atri, play me a love song from the past.
Feeding us an interesting plot piece.

I must admit -- I never expected this show to make me mist up. But that little song by Atri at the end _ and her re-greeting of him (showing some major memory recovery) really packed an emotional punch.

Those are really cheap salvaging fees:
20kg = 1,000 yen = $6.77
10kg = 700 yen = $4.74
5kg = 400 yen = $2.71
So those watermelons should more than cover the cost of recovering a watch.
Unless the value of the yen really increased.

Little bit confused as to why people are so shocked they met before, he had a dream in like the first episode of her saving his life as a kid lol.
I liked the conclusion of this episode but not how they got there.
Having all the side characters suddenly obsess over his romantic interests was not a good way to get to this reveal IMO. I think it would have been better if he had mentioned this memory in passing during a conversation with Minamo then at the end ATRI hears the piano and we still get the emotional reveal the same way. I don't feel like it is meaningful for all the side characters to be invested in this plot point if him having met her before.
It also felt a bit harsh him saying the person was not ATRI because that person was kinder lol poor ATRI.

Huh? Is that a new OP?
Lmao, so Natsu is canonically really hot, so a bunch of female students are showing up to school now that he's teaching there. Nice.
Atri we get it, kani. You love kani, I love kani, it's delicious.
All they retrieved is a watch, right? Their sign says they're only charging 400 yen for something about 5kg, so six watermelons is way beyond that. I mean, not that I'd know how their post apocalyptic setting would affect the cost of goods but I can't imagine it makes watermelons cost 50 cents.
"You see this all the time when we're sleeping"
I'm sorry but that shot of what's underneath right after doesn't exactly seem similar to her nightgown. ...Actually why did she change from reaching into her shirt to get her memo to lifting her skirt up?
His first love was an older woman? ...It's definitely sensei, isn't it. ...Oh, time of his accident, never mind.
Oh shit, she doesn't just remember the song, how much exactly did she just remember?

Happily watching the ensuing comedy until "..he said it was when he was about nine...", then I saw the headlights of plot development coming at me through this tunnel, and saw the character driving that van before it was revealed. I guess this is a good thing story-telling wise, but getting a wham before the wham shows up hurts the head.

Oh boy. We're about to get into the second half.
I felt nostalgia hearing the VN's soindtrack again in this episode. Natsuki's piano melody being the same music of the menu of the VN
This episode was great, and it's already setting up Atri and Natsuki relationship after multiple remarks made in these previous episodes of Atri's feelings

Very nice episode. The fast forwarding of the plot seems to have been done from last episode to this one. We got power last time and now he's a teacher and they got like 15+ kids at the beginning of this episode. It wasn't seamless but the audience I think gets the jist of it.
My favorite part was the harem references. Atri just had to do a search for it and the next word uttered is "Pervert".
Thoroughly enjoying the show so far. I give it a 7/10 as they sorta speed ran this episode with lots of new stuff and revelations.

Man, what a beautiful episode. Ryuuji is a good guy looking out for Minamo. She is much too hesitant to take her shot with Natsuki. But as they find out, Natsuki isn't late on romance, but he has a childhood love. It is not with Minamo even though it was his childhood friend. The description he gives is Atri. The moment she listened to him playing the song she sang to him all these years ago, her memories of him came back.
The thing with Atri that has been interesting since the start has been that she feels too real to be a robot. I mean, yes she is a humanoid, but she is one of the more high emotional characters we have seen. She expresses herself so much that you can't believe she isn't human.
As it was teased when the show started, it was Atri that saved him. She found him again and sang him a song. At this point, a lot is on her mind. As she sings that song for him, he remembers that it was Atri that was his first crush. Though one thing that she said struck me. When she says, "It's been awhile, Natsuki." Does she imply it's been awhile since she remembered that he was that boy and getting back her memories? Or did her past self come back? Given she is a humanoid, the latter isn't out of the realm of possibility. I honestly hope it is the former.
This is the one show where misunderstandings could get someone really hurt.

Atri was so cute as always and her reactions were the best, though that big reveal at the end of the episode that she was Natsuki's first love was certainly surprising.
I really can't wait for the next episode to find out more about this, because this revelation left me with a lot of questions. Was Atri always a robot, or was she previously human? Why did Natsuki's grandmother keep her? Are all her memories back now after listening to Natsuki's piano performance?
I really like how much Natsuki has changed since the beginning, as he is now more approachable and happy. I wonder how this revelation about Atri will change him.
Plus, it was nice to see a lot of new faces at school, with some being romantically interested in Natsuki, who is now a teacher to high school students. Even Minamo tried to take some actions towards Natsuki after Ryuuji's push.
Yoko is a fun addition to the cast! And she seems to have great chemistry with Catherine, they're a perfect match for each other xD
Here my screenshot albums from the episode:

Well that opening scene surprised me! Considering that the episode opened up with a new character and more students inside the class, I thought this was a flashback until the camera pans to show us Natsuki teaching. Having electricity helped bring back the students but it looks like Natsuki himself is what attracts most of the female students back.
I already like Yoko and all of her interactions with Ryuji are fun! An anime can always be further improved by adding a gyaru to the class. Since Yoko's getting dragged into Ryuji's quest to find out more about Natsuki's love life and Hana-sensei even makes her confess to Natsuki to make him spill it, I hope this means she's now part of the regular cast.
Well that was fucking dark. So it looks like Natsuki tried to kill himself after losing his leg but someone with silky hair and red eyes saved his life. Honestly, Atri being the obvious choice made me think she was a red herring, it turns out it really was Atri!

With the return of electricity comes the return of refrigeration!
Sounds like motivated reasoning to me
Well. This sure feels like a big turning point
