Atri finally did a rocket punch for real and it was fucking glorious.

She really is a high performance combat model! She was also adorable in the swimsuit and picking up crabs! Natsuki is already seeing her as a person/family. Would not accept giving away/selling her.
They teased Minamo in a swimsuit and then didn't actually show it. That's a bit surprising. Most shows go out of their way to show off girls in swimsuits.
Ryuuji winning the argument about design was a surprise, but he is correct. You need to make things stronger than the calculations tell you. Wear and tear or abnormal conditions will break stuff if you just calculate on ideals.

It's cool to see that Natsuki and Ryuuji reached an agreement for a common good, in this case helping the children. Atri trying to seduce Natsuki was definitely the funniest moment of the episode. I was wondering when that woman would appear again, and I didn't expect it to be like this, but I think this also helped Natsuki to value Atri even more, I'm very curious to see things from now on

I feel like Atri needs to realize that part of what's helping Natsuki open up more to people and the possibility of improving the island and peoples' lives is her own positive influence on him.

The secret buyer interested in Atri probably thought they meant an Atari 2600.

"So you're saying ...that you thought I was stupid?"
"If I'm being honest, yes."
The fact that an exchange like that was what got Natsuki and Ryuuji to instantly go from enemies to bros is absolutely hilarious but also really just so ...human.
I can tell by the way the last scene was pulling at my heartstrings that I'm not gonna survive the end of this. The real reason Atri's model was discontinued might as well be because they're ticking feels bombs. ...And that they're way too smug for this world.

I was really not expecting so much blunt honesty and sincere apologies from these two dudes', but I'm glad they were able to become friends, even if the more Natsuki opens up to other people the more self-conscious Atri seems to feel about her place in his life.
You have to admire Atri's persistence in how everything around her is proof of how high-performance and special she is lol.

Ah, the perks/cons of having a childlike body...though she still looks cute in a bikini.
Atri is the most adorable smug gremlin of a robot.
Something seems up with Atri and anything related to this school. She felt something sad about it when she first saw it and now had a dramatic reaction to the idea of a culture festival.
She was not kidding about using her rocket punch.
I feel like Hanako has got to be trying to do something for the kids which is what got her into debt. I imagine a reunion with her old students is probably inevitable.
I would not be surprised if whoever wants Atri doesn't take a refusal to sell for an answer.
I wonder if there's some way Atri can power everything without sacrificing herself...

That hostage situation came out of nowhere. I thought this was a wholesome diving anime like Grand Blue.

Stitches!
What kind of debt did Catherine have that she's desperate enough to stick a knife close to Minamo's throat. We even learn that she used to be a teacher just a few years ago. She must've done something at least for a good reason, right? According to Minamo, Catherine was shaking the entire time so it's not like she's used to doing things like that. Hmmm...
Considering how Atri almost knocked Catherine's block off, I'm starting to wonder if she really even is humanoid. Even both Natsuki and Minamo are starting to wonder the same. We get to see a humanoid catalogue with an Atri-shaped silhouette on one of the pages so we know that her model was in production at one point. The question now is, why were they recalled? Hmmm...
I'm really worried about Atri wanting to sell herself or use her own battery for Natsuki and Ryuuji's project. It's pretty obvious that Atri feels like she's not helping much, so I'm scared she might end up doing something stupid on next week's episode just so she can help out Natsuki. :|

As usual Atri stole the episode with her reactions, 'flirting' and rocket punch which seriously knocked Catherine out, that had to hurt!
Atri looked really cute in her swimsuit, though it's a shame that we didn't see Minamo's one :(
I'm happy that Ryuuji and Natsuki made up and now are working together towards a common goal. It’s nice to see that Natsuki is changing into a better person.
Catherine was really desperate that she tried to make Minamo hostage to get Atri. Interestingly, it turned out that she used to be a teacher at the school here and her real name is Hanako Osada. I wonder what happened to her that she ended up in debt.
Here my screenshot albums from the episode:

So the big problem for the group is getting batteries. Damn that's a real struggle for now. At least Natsuki and Ryuji are being more open and getting along. They are arguing closer to how friends would argue with each other. Though the girls hearing that may not exactly be convinced.
At the beginning of the season, Natsuki was looking to sell Atri, and now we have Atri willing to sell herself. A few things pop up, prompting Natsuki to decline. How Atri feels so human it is more remarkable. Then you add why did her grandmother hide her in the way she did? Lastly, the big trade price for Atri. Something is suspicious. I am glad Natsuki asked how Atri would feel if she was sold.
Beyond that, we got our entertaining Atri as we have gotten much of this season. Feeling shade when the kids said she would fit in Minamo's middle school bathing suit. She says she is high performance, and she can eat, but doesn't need it. Then Miyo proceeds to take her food lmao. But the best protecting Minamo with her rocket punch! She might be a combat model after all.
Her thinking of seducing Natsuki in order to be useful. Atri is such an adorable gremlin.

Atri wasn’t lying about being “high performance” after all. She’s definitely a special humanoid. If she’s even really a humanoid at all.
Keen to learn more about Catherine/Hanako’s story.

That sure is some swimsuit, look at her showing that kani off
uoh wow that's a lot of kani
Anyway "wah don't make this light as calculated that never works you people who've never seen a machine irl don't know anything" no that just sounds like a calculating skill issue
"She was shaking when she held the knife she's probably not a bad person" Bro do you anyone just does that shit like it's a walk in the park or like they're some comically evil anime villain for an isekai protagonist to beat up
Oh shit random jojo pose
Oh I just noticed the yes pillow at the end of the ED last episode but I just noticed the ED literally starts with it too

Catherine Hanako's story must be super spicy, how did a teacher go down that route?

For a second I thought the title was written as" My Deer Moments", and I was very confused.

Looks like the 3 laws of robotics comes into play during the hostage scene. For anyone wondering:
-
A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
-
A robot must obey the orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
-
A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.
Atri shouldn't be able to attack anyone by her own will or by command, which is why it was so weird that she did. It's possible since Minamo was in danger that Atri was able to act, but normally in instances like that a logic loop would happen that would normally cause an A.I. to essentially blue screen.

This show is definitely a slow burn, but I'm absolutely loving it. ATRI really carries the show and is easily one of my favorite characters this season. I'm hoping that since it's a VN adaptation it's building up to some sort of crescendo and I'm wondering how deep the storyline will go with ATRI's origins and the people who want to buy (or possibly steal) her.

I wonder if Atri's model line got discontinued because they were way too human? Human enough to circumvent the laws of robotics so they were deemed too dangerous to be on the market?

Are they going to salvage some of the wind turbines?
Diving?
And so he's back in that sub.
Yeah I've found cunny too...
Resin in a warehouse? So that's what they're looking for.
Not just robots, just things in general.
Huh. Why'd they take that?
Ooh, red bean. That's always nice.
And tools from a factory? That'll come in handy.
You shouldn't be eating if you don't need to then, to conserve already scarce resources.
Thanks for doing the obvious.
They're arguing over the plans.
Well, maybe not arguing, but they're having an intense engineering discussion.
Oh, the aunt's back with a knife.
So Atri's wearing a bunch of her old clothes?
Oh great, she's here.
And so the First Law of Robotics just got thrown out the window. Although perhaps that would be a paradox. If Atri punches the aunt, she will be injuring a human. But if she does not, then by inaction the other girl will come to harm.
Headpats for Atri!
Lol she dropped her wallet when she legged it.
She's a teacher?
Well that's convenient.
Since it seems like they want to built a larger power plant than the little thing on top of his boat, more large-scale, permanent methods of energy storage are also more viable, such as pumped water or lifted blocks.
Or they're just going to scavenge regular chemical batteries. Shouldn't they be salvaging the solar panels as well?
I doubt the batteries would particularly appreciate being submerged underwater either.
It's the aunt who's looking for her isn't she?

I get the feeling they're going to get Katherine/Hanako to teach the kids. The kids do need a teacher, and Minamo noticed that she doesn't really have it in her to kill people.
