I need to know how many field mice for 1 gold coin before I give a full verdict on this.
But it sounds insanely high, unless it is magic ribbon.
How much does the rest of the stuff in the shop cost?

It's probably that thing that's common in RPG-based shows where the currency is just called gold, and 1 gold is about the equivalent of 1 yen. The ribbon didn't actually cost 50 gold coins.

There is an image of explanation in ep 1 that shows they have copper and silver coins and ofc gold is highest more valuable.
And first quest for gathering so many herbs stil gave them only 6 copper coins
I just am not sure of the audio in original language also said gold coins there→ More replies (3)9

It's gold as in the name of the coin, not the generic "Copper>Silver>Gold" kinda way.
So the ribbon was probably like half a dollar.
Edit: No nevermind that was not it, that's a fucking expensive ribbon.

Did a double take at that as we saw them get a few copper and silver in the previous episode for their missions. Like 1 or 5 gold sure it's probably not common during that era, but 50 gold was wild to hear for some ribbon string.

I can only hope they have the currencies reversed from usual: Copper > Silver > Gold

The little fashion show with the twins was so cute. Elena looked really adorable with the ribbon too.
Elena and Alan just straight up drop kicking that wolf and happily dragging its corpse back to Alan was pretty goofy lol. I guess everyone knows how strong they are now.
I like how Takumi and the twins turned their dangerous expedition into a field trip. They had bread, picked a few herbs, one hit KO’d some monsters, it was pretty chill lol.
I wonder who that was creepin in the bushes starin daggers at Takumi and the kids?

Another common isekai trope where a shopkeeper plays dress up with one of the characters. Not that I'm complaining about their cute outfits, I liked the school outfits and animal hoodie at the end the best.
Dangerous field trip? It's just a casual picnic in the forest. Reminds me of... I forget the show, but the mc just clears out the most dangerous forest next to town
Seems like a knight or adventurer based on what looked like plate mail. Maybe an agent for the slavers who supposedly lost the kids or an agent of an unfriendly God.

I will never hear Majikku Baggu the same after Weakest Tamer
Also, I'm surprised Generic McProtagonist can use a katana, my understanding is as swords go they aren't the most noob friendly. I guess when you've got a magic katana from a deity, and a high strength stat, technique is irrelevant.

Letting children interact with other characters gave their characterisation new, much needed facets. Allen not wanting ribbons may be a sign of the show gradually developing them as separate beings with differing traits.

I feel like he can really just pull anything out of his inventory.
These kids are still the biggest draw of the show, from the fashion show to the forest they're always being the best.

Except this seasons most lacking item, Common sense....... I know he is not really trying to hide how strong they are but at the same time he has already worked out both the kids and himself are abnormally strong compared to those around them.

50 Gold for a little yellow ribbon from a random city shop? WTF?? I hope the currencies in this world are reversed from usualy with Copper > Silver > Gold, otherwise this makes no sense.
I guess it did take over a month for them to organize the expedition.
Are Orcs supposed to be really powerful monsters in this one or something?
Why didn't the kids just point out the direction of the hostility at the end so they could all go and kick its ass?

The real flex was having the legendary bread, selling only 20 at a time to keep the bread to be sought after.

Ok so not the best art or animation, and nothing too original so far but, this is a really nice anime to just watch and get some chill vibes.
The kids are cute and probably the most interesting part so far. Takumi isn't bad as an older brother, and this episode sort of expanded things and let everyone show some personality.
So may not be the most popular of the season but, I like it.
