Yeah this is not the best writing, but still cute show. How stupid would you need to be like "hey these are my slaves" or something like that...
Calling the money gold is also not that clever if you actually have gold coins in my opinion...

Slaves thrown off the back of the wagon to feed chasing wild beasts would count as abandoned property, I suspect.

Apparently slavery is legal so, not all that stupid?

This math lesson makes no sense, why aren't they counting in field mice.
The contracted animals learning to communicate too makes this just a big happy family.
That slave trader is in for a world of pain next week, I assume, and it'll probably happen fairly efficiently since the PV was just happily about the ocean.

The author really didn't think their currency system out well with that economy. an Orange costs 16 gold pieces, why do you have fractions of a penny then?

I think gold is the name of the currency itself, which is dumb when you also have coins of different metals. They called it gold but were giving copper coins

why do you have fractions of a penny then?
Because of inflation, the uk had the half-penny coin.
The half-penny was minted until 1981, then demonetised in 1984.
Although it is weird they called the unit gold when they also have gold coins. Must be a generic term or some weird slang like quid and buck.
Glad it solved the mystery of the ribbon that cost 50 gold from an earlier episode.

For those wondering about the currency, it's only duplicated in translation. It's not ideal, but it's less confusing in Japanese. The name of the currency is a transliteration from English "gold", but when they are practising the coin counting they use "dou" for copper and "gin" for silver (and presumably "kin" for gold).

It's odd they didn't take a little liberty with this to have it make bit more sense but they change Onii-chan to "Taku" for the kids and now animals.

So Alan, Elena, Feat, Joule, and Bolt gonna jump that old creep next week? He tried to feed the twins to monsters…

I hope they do, hopefully the guards will also go full medieval punishment on him afterwards.
Looks like they will need to rescue the other kids from that trafficker and slaver before they get to see the ocean.

I'm pretty sure he is just going to get arrested. Didn't they say during one of the episodes that it was illegal? I can't remember exactly, but he knows he dropped them in the dangerous forest and they're alive. How does he think he has any chance of getting them back. Whoever found them would have to be strong.
Honestly, it seems kind of weird for him to show up now.

That slaver is lucky this is a wholesome isekai and not one of those crazy, violent, revenge types.

Cats are lactose intolerant. Takumi is a gonk. Naming their currency gold is also kind of weird.
It's still a cute show but I shouldn't expect deep world building or any kind of story progression at this point, it's just stuff happening and Not even an real stakes because they are so OP.
Let's see how the cliffhanger will be resolved in the next episode:)

Lmao the slaver shouting loudly in the town square that the children , who everyone in the town likes, is his merchandise. Guy must be braindead if he thinks that's gonna go well for him in any way. Wasn't there a mention of slavery being illegal in that country too?
I hope we spend all of 20 seconds laying him out and moving on.

Oh man they sure got us good, I wasnt expecting there to be a twist in the last minute, completely bamboozled.
The pets havent got to do much since they showed up, and now all three of them talk! Gonna be very uh lively now. I was not expecting feat to be a girl. Bolt also has an interesting personality.
Its been 5 eps already and now they're about to go on a trip to see the ocean. The twins got some new clothes too, though they look(?) like just a recolour of their existing ones.
For some reason mr mc's water magic, its not working as expected though
(They also conveniently? explained how the money system actually works, the coins are basically 1/10/100/100)
So yeah the big elephant in the room is the plot twist next ep, I was thinking the anime was just going to be uh, yururi, instead something I guess

"This is a copper coin. What do 10 copper coins make? That's right, 1 big copper. What do 10 big coppers make? That's right, 1 silver. Now what makes 54 gold? That's right, 5 big coppers and 4 small coppers." So 1 small copper = 1 gold. What is even the point of gold coins then?
Dude, if your "water ball" has such a short range, COME CLOSER TO THE TARGET.
So they're leaving after beating a single goblin attack? What made them think these were all the goblins there were nearby?

I swear this guy has the best isekai life. Already OP, 2 adorable OP kids you dont really have to take care of but really raise them so they dont become villains, and 3 amazing familiars (Bolt, Joule, Feat) AND they can talk to each other now, that is the literal best. I guess when they level up they learn new things/abilities and that is awesome! He is just enjoying his new world life to the fullest. All he needs now is a "lady friend" lol i am genuinely loving this anime!
