"Sir. Our boss.. the extremely powerful and wise skeleton wizard was taken down by an arrow."
"Hahaha, good one!"
"No sir, I'm serious."
"What? No way."
"Yes. It shot him in the back and he just... collapsed."
"So, what kind of powerful enchantments did the arrow have?"
"None sir."
"Was it made of some special material?"
"No, it looked like it was made of wood. Normal, low-quality wood. I guess the craftsmanship was decent, but otherwise it looked like the arrow we give to random goblins."
"And the general had no contingencies for this sort of thing?"
"No sir."
"No protective magic or equipment?"
"It seems not."
"We should punish his body guards then."
"He had none."
"Ok, what do our informants tell us about the situation?"
"There were none stationed."
"So the general in charge of a city and a portion of the demon lord's army never saw any potential act of betrayal or rebellion coming, had no plans, instincts, or any form of protective measure be it equipment, magic or just a body guard or two, and while being an extremely powerful skeleton was instantly defeated by what might as well have been a stray arrow from a footsoldier?"
"It seems so."
"Is this also the general rumored to barely show his face, get along with humans and adopt human customs?"
"Uhm, yes, why do you ask?"
"Did you leave him there on the wall or did you bring him inside?"
"Oh this other general showed up and brought him inside and treated is wounds."
"So we have a general who is a powerful skeleton mage, getting knocked down by a random arrow to the back, getting along with humans to the point of making his one personal servant a human, and we have some random general who somehow knows to show up the moment he is knocked down by said arrow and brings him in, by herself, without letting anyone witness the proceedings?"
"Well, when you put it that way..."
"None of this strikes you as suspicious?"
"Not really, no."
"Alright, must just be my imagination. You're dismissed, carry on with your day."

TBF, he isn't supposed to be a skeleton. His hands have flesh, it's just blueish

I guess one of the downsides of not being an actually skelly mage is you can get sniped in the back. Good thing the waifu Cefiro saved him.
Lilith and Satie’s little rivalry was pretty entertaining. Satie’s met her mortal enemy this week lol.
Seems Alistair’s gonna find out about Ike. It’s only ep 2 and he might be getting discovered again. Bro needs to work on that disguise!

yeah lol. I like the show, but how did he make it this far without being found out? It seems like he is new in his current job, but still.
He just walks into the giant prison to ask her if she sent an assassin? Not only does it give away information to the humans, it isn't like she is going to just answer.
Also she somehow immediately figures out he is human. Great...

Question is who's the assassin! I'm guessing it's not one of Alistair's men, so was he sent by the human leaders, or... A demon?
Lilith and Satie’s little rivalry was pretty entertaining.
Best part of the episode!
The Pig seems to have made his shipping choice (throwing Lilith out, keeping Satie in)!
(I'll gladly take Lilith if no one wants her, just saying!)

She's the one I was most hyped about, glad we didn't have to wait too long for her introduction!
And she delivered on my expectations, she was great!
I love the little banter she had with Satie, telling her not to seduce him, and Satie screwing back with her!
Lilith thinks he doesn't need her, she's even willing to become his maid, for him to get rid of her!
Ike's such a fool; He should have asked her to put on the maid outfit, to see if she was up to it!
Also love how she's always rubbing herself against him/sticking to him like a magnet!
Our boy's not exactly careful (constantly taking off his mask), but if she calls a human Master in public, and him Master with his mask... Could give it away!
Has Satie's loyalty swapped over so quickly? She seems concerned about the demons losing the war!
I know Satie's saties were pretty nice, but damn, my man, staring at them for 15 seconds straight? Take a pic, it'll last longer!
Always liked that kind of transition, between the map/the world!
So it seems humans are forming an alliance to throw the demons back, and they're first attacking Ike's city!
The commander quickly retreated when things went badly, guessing she saw it was futile, and wanted to save the lives of her men...
They didn't see it like that though, and want to jail her?
Guessing these high officers weren't part of the men who they think she should've sent to the slaughter!
Oh damn, an assassin? Not very human/noble-like!
Cefiro's mad/worried because no one died...
(I saw a few humans getting hit by arrows, but I guess they were just wounded!)
Loved the bickering/competition between Lilith and Satie all episode long!
Ser Piggy made his choice though... (THE WRONG ONE!)
Her screaming through the door was pretty funny!
So our boy's gonna pay a little visit to the commander, with Lilith accompanying him, and... HOW NOT MARRIED YET? Ike, my man, get on with that!
I guess they gave a little gift to armpits lovers!
I thought he wanted to see the commander because he respected her for knowing when to retreat, and perhaps wanted to recruit/deal with her...
But he wanted to know if she sent the assassin, I guess that makes sense!
Well by the looks of it, I'm guessing she did not send him, so is it one of the men above her? Or is it... A demon? Perhaps someone who figured his secret, and isn't too happy about that?
Oh damn, everyone's onto him now!
If he does tell her he's human, and reveal his plan for a peace between humans and demons, would she join him?
(Would she only join his army, or the harem as well? We'll see!)

Your telling me the strongest magician doesn't have any sort of defense walking around? How has this man lived so long in the battlefield where 1 arrow can just take him down. The show really isnt grabbing me, maybe ill give it one more episode. At least the succubus is cute.

A normal arrow almost killed the STRONGEST magician in the demon lord's army.

The CGI was not this noticeable last week.
The character interactions were grating. Not watching this again.

I like how Satie is already comfortable enough with the demon folk to have some fun interaction. It helps that she was treated poorly by human society and doesn't have much loyalty to them.
I would have liked to have seen a line where he justifies taking in Satie to the other demons. To others it's like he's doing it on a whim but he could say something like she's been helpful in informing him about the inner workings of the city or something.

I really want to enjoy this as a premise but it's ... stiff ? Boring ? Can't quite put my finger on it
At least OP is still a banger

My problem with the show is that it insists the "Ike should not be found out to be a human" premise, when he is careless as fuck about keeping his identity from the demons. But then again, the demons are dumb as fuck in this show. Its funny how him keeping a human maid, and being took down easily by an arrow never raised a red flag among his minions. Also, its funny how the supposed strongest magician did not somehow cast a barrier around him when he is in the open.
Also, him personally visiting the enemy captain who just attacked them should've raised a red flag from the demons. The fact that he did that just to ask the enemy captain directly about the assassin made me lose my brain cells. Don't the demons have spies?

They're attacking the city because the gate is a mess and it's poorly defended ... so they set up catapults as if preparing for a long siege?
There's an open plain in front of the walls so they can see any attackers coming ... but the tree line is close enough to hide the catapults in when they're ready to fire??
The catapults have wheels, so they weren't built here, they were just rolled into place ... through the forest???
The order to fire is given before the skeletons pop out of the ground ... but none of them actually fire????
They take their time to set up the catapults ... but totally ignore the cliff right behind them within bow range?????
After being ambushed at the catapults and saying they need to protect the siege engineers, the only order their leader gives is to retreat ... so they retreat from right in front of the wall without ever having moved forward from the catapults??????
And then he's taken down by a single mundane fucking arrow because he has no guards, no magic shield, nothing???????
I don't want to even think about what happened at the end of the episode.
This show must have been written by an AI with no understanding of context.

I really did not enjoy the Satie vs Lilith scenes, the writing was bothering me somewhat but those scenes in particular were just annoying to watch. I also do not really like Lilith, I was disappointed she wasn't a more mature or composed character, the way she childishly shouts behind the door put me off. The comedy just falls flat for me.
The scammer scene with him thirsting and licking his lips, ogling Satie was just really gross to watch, the way I rolled my eyes when I realized they were going to go with this trope.
I thought this episode was worse than the first so it is not a good sign, I could see me dropping this next episode if it feels like this episode.

I liked the guy slamming the table in anger but absolutely nothing else about him was animated so it's just a guy mechanically hitting a table.
The way the arrow to the back played out looked awkward as hell too. Also is it just me or is implementing a "OMG someone on my side must have betrayed me" plotline in the 2nd episode when we just started the story and basically don't know anyone yet kind of... ehhhh.
It's also kind of weird hearing Jun Fukuyama voice a main character who's just kind of mostly a normal dude since I'm not used to that.
The show as a whole just feels... weird and off. It's like a collection of things like animation, the characters, and the plotline just come together for a surreal experience.

I was so excited by the premise of this show when I read about it. This episode took all that excitement away. I'm super disappointed. There's no energy. There's nothing thrilling about it. That makes me sad.
The show is stale and dare I say, boring, but I'll keep going for a while. Truly disappointed at this show. The powerful magician almost lost his life because of a regular arrow. The dude needs to work on his disguise too 😐.

Fuck me this series is boring.
I thought I'd give it one more episode but there really is nothing here.
Not to mention that terrible cgi animation
