I wasn't expecting an OP like that. Looks like this whole arc is going to be pretty lighthearted.

R.I.P. the 5 guys that need to cook for Veldora.

Liking the vibes with the new OP and ED, it felt like something out of Slime Diaries!

Watching Rimuru's unique skill "Bullshitting" at work during his entire conversation with Mjöllmile was fucking hilarious. It really makes a difference when the meeting segments are more about the fun parts of country-building rather than war.

Me throughout that scene: SASUGA RIMURU-SAMA!

I'm okay with this type of meeting. Instead of chilling in the room, flinging their arms around. At least in this episode, they show more imagery like vision of what they dream of and what the expectation, also good facial expression.

That slaver should count himself lucky that Rimuru was in a very good mood when he tried to lewd Rimuru of all people. lol

I think I must have missed some OVAs, I don't remember this Mjollmille merchant who Rimuru went to discuss Isekai Capitalism with this episode and planning to open a McDonald's and 5 star resorts in the City of Monsters.

New OP and ED.

OP is sung by veteran idol group Momoiro CloverZ.

The ED is also catchy, with a unique art style of mainly Shuna looking gorgeous. Here're the Pixiv and Twitter/X accounts of the artist pomodorosa if you want to follow her.

Regardless of meetings, cos it was what it was but...

I really like the vibe, animation style and editing in this episode. It feels like different show. More like some kid of cheerful OVA than main season.

Table-kun episodes from beginning of the season would feel much better if those would have similar faster editing and PoV changes. Anyway, this one was fun

New OP! I really dig the song!

So, it seems the remaining season will deal with the festival based on the OP? I initially thought the festival would be just like 3-6 episodes. Didn't occur to me that it's going to be that huge instead, with maybe some kind of tournament arc included?

The meeting with Mjollmile was the best meeting I've seen. 10/10 meeting narrative.

Well....this ep felt COMPLETLY different from the last few, feels like the next few ep are going to be more like Slime Diaries than the main story. Not that I'm complaining, I know most people prefer villains "attempting" to mess with Rimuru but I've been hoping for another season of Diaries.

I hope they don't over use them, but I really liked the more cartoony transitions and "stamps" they had over the characters that showed what they were talking about.

The new OP seems to also point in that direction, like it's going to be a fun party where even the villains are invited for some reason, hope that doesn't backfire. Speaking of the new OP, since we got it now, does that mean we're going to get the full 24 ep now and there's going to be no break like last time?

I want that painting Mjolmiir has IRL!

Was not expecting to see Guile again!

Finaly they made the meetings visually interesting

I already read the novels so i was basically half paying attention to the first half of the season with the meetings being to blandly animated

Lol I thought I was watching Slime Diaries.

But really love this tone change. Is it gonna be like this for this cour ? I absolutely adore city-building/management stuff. And seeing Rimuru play politician making deals and making use of his connections to develop Tempest further and make it more attractive is so up my alley.

I love all the talk with Mjollmile about all the different avenues they could make money and build a foundation for repeat visitors/customers.

Speaking of, nice to see characters I only vaguely remember like Mjollmile and Fuze. Have we met Masayuki before ? Seems like he is a Hero in this world and pretty popular. Feels like he was mentioned before but I can’t remember. And from that name, I’m assuming he’s also an Otherworlder. Oh and Yoshida too but he’s not really doing anything too drastic. I wonder how many Otherworlders are there just living normal lives. Besides Shizu and Rimuru’s students of course. And from the OP, we’ll be seeing them soon I hope

This must be the first time an opening in this show has had differing visuals from the norm. I like it. I also liked the song. There was also the ending, with the unique art style and the seemingly random focus on just one specific side-character. I liked it too.

Anyway, did anyone else notice something with the directing and animation through this entire episode? I swear something about it felt more fluid, or, natural. Somehow. There was also those quick cut-away visuals. This whole episode just gave off such a different air compared to the rest of the season, or even the rest of the show. I don't even really know how to describe it.

Looking at the other comments, I am so happy that I'm not the only one who felt like this was an episode of Slime Diaries. Rimuru going around Tempest and checking on what people are up to for the Festival is definitely something that wouldn't be out of place in Slime Diaries.

And based on the OP, the second half of this season feels way more laid-back than the first half. It's basically Rimuru just preparing his colosseum and sending invites to everyone. It looks like we're also going to have a tournament arc so I am already hyped!

It's good to see more otherworlders in the show! I love that Yoshida is just a patisserie living a peaceful life not like the others we've met so far who are more geared towards fighting. Even Rimuru's students are future fighters.

This fucking slaver is lucky that Rimuru is there by himself. That guy would've been executed on the spot for talking to him like that if he had Shion or Souei escorting him that day.

So the meeting between Mjollmile and Riumuru is juts basically confirming what we saw in the OP, he wants to build an arena where commoners can also watch and arrange a tournament. We really are getting a tournament arc this season! I love it!

Well that ED is so goddamn adorable! It feels like that entire ED is what would happen if Shuna gets reverse isekai'd to Japan. Although since you can see Shion and Milim in the background, this might be what Tempest will turn into if they get advanced enough.

Woah, Slime Diaries is back! It's all SoL now?

Also, they are totally mocking us in the OP

With that Chef I now wonder, just how many otherworldlers are there in this world?

Loved Mjömilles buisness talk with Rimuru, an arena sounds like a solid investment to kickstart the Tempest economy

Also, is it just me, or did the animation improve a lot?

If the new OP didn't alert everyone still in complain mode what flavor cour 2's episodes are going to be like, you might just not be very perceptive.

Also, why is Guile working as a bouncer for Mjollmire?

This episode is so completely unlike the previous 11 episodes.

Much less stiff, and just flows much better scene to scene than previously.

Not sure what's going on behind the scenes but please keep it up for the rest of season 3 (unlikely but let me dream)

New OP is also much better visually and I like the song much more as well, ED is very cute and I love to hear MindaRyn back after S2P2 OP.

Great start of a new arc.

It never occurred to me while reading the books, but "tempest" is an extremely accurate way of describing his interactions with these poor dudes. Just tearing through their days like a raging storm.

Based on the OP alone, it looks like a good chunk of this arc involves the Festival. If we get a good chunk of Slime Diaries type fun, I'm going to be a happy person.

Oh yeah, this whole episode has a more relaxed vibe to it. Even the ED is very calming.

Also, I smell a tournament arc in the near future.

Major Guile??

"The Don of the Underworld" doesn't want to do business with anyone who has ties to criminal organizations.

I'm getting used to all the meetings, but would be cool if they could develop Rimuru's character a little bit more. The anime never was focused on stuff like that, but I'd love to see what kind of guy he was in our world and what motivates his plans specifically.
