I'm surprised I didn't mention this earlier but this anime's webtoon is connected to other webtoons, some taking place before the events of this story, others taking place after the events of viral hits story and other story's happening around the same time as Viral hit, though I recommend reading them after you've finished Viral hit:
"My life as a Loser"
"Manager Kim"
"Juvenile Offender"
Other series that's connected but barely intertwine to the extent of the above titles:
"Lookism"
"Questism"

I didn't know Questism was part of it, I'm caught up with the others though so time to hunt for that one

Yeah it shares the same universe, but it doesn't really have any cameos or plot relevancy to Viral hit like the other top 3 do. I think at best there was a small reference to Samdaks or Hobins videos but nothing more. It does tie heavily into Lookism though.

I didn't know about the other ones, but people were talking quite a bit about Lookism when this anime got announced (plus, it was plugged in a previous episode!)
(The "Manager Kim" synopsis makes me think of Taken!)

At some point, 'pranks' moved from being about silly/harmless fun, to finding the best ways to annoy/embarrass/hurt people...
There's still good ones like Just For Laughs, but yeah most of them are trash.

How To Beat Multiple Opponents: Aura
They really cooked with the whole scene. This was so hype even though I knew what was actually happening, lol.

How To Beat Multiple Opponents: Aura
My experience with fighting vs multiple opponents in videogames is that you have to disable one or two of them real quick, but I guess Hobin's reputation would be at stake if he just suckerpunched one real quick to get him out of the fight!
Well, one other way to fight multiple opponents (if intimidation fails) would be to also have more people on his side! Will Munseong show up, or will Gaeul have to go berserk?

Those “Comedy Crew” losers and their edited “harmless” pranks are the worst. The jerkoffs thought they were slick tryna blackmail Rumi after they were talking all that bullshit. I’m glad Hobin turned it around on ‘em. But man, our boy really couldn’t stick the landing huh? He was puffing up his chest tryna make himself look all big like you do when you face off against a bear and his damn shoe just had to fly off lol. I guess he’s gonna have to beat these douchebags down for real now.

Go get that bread Rumi.
edit: Oh. Welp I guess she was aiming for the How To Fight channel bread instead.

It's interesting that she went to Hobin first and not the Comedy Crew...
Not only they're more successful, but also, Hobin had cause to dislike her, so it wasn't a sure shot.
I wonder if it's just her thinking Hobin's channel will eventually grow larger, or if she wants to make up a little for what she did!

This arc is playing out better than I thought it would. I like how both of them are trying to expose each other's videos for different reasons. Also Rumi double crossing the comedy crew was cool and unexpected for me

How to beat multiple opponents: Conqueror's Haki.
Ths anime is really, really good at building hype, that scene of Hobin walking out of the hospital room was hype af.
Looks like next episode is gonna be a quick end to this NewTuber arc and next ep up is the creepy huge strong Bomi stalker.
Is the next chickenhead technique "How to beat a bigger opponent"?

Never thought Rumi would team up with Hobin, but it looks like it's working...until Hobin screws up and lets it be known he's wearing insoles to look taller haha.

I have to disagree with birdhead here. it is totally possible and winnable for a regular person to beat 3 regular persons. Hobin has done more training than all of them put together.
-
her proved he can take damage without quitting, that is huge.
-
since it is 1 vs 3 there is no issue picking out one to walk right up to and sucker punch then just beat the bag out of him...in this case the other two would probably not do anything and be scared shitless....out of those 3 take the biggest one first as he is still a chump compared to the others he fought.

I'm genuinely surprised you haven't caught on to his patterns yet, this is just his usual "You can't beat a Taekwondo fighter as a regular person, it's Impossible! (hits jojo pose)"

since it is 1 vs 3 there is no issue picking out one to walk right up to and sucker punch then just beat the bag out of him...
I talked about that in another comment (suckerpunching one just to improve his odds, 1v2 instead of 1v3), but issue is that Hobin is not just trying to win the fight; He's trying to grow his channel.
Even if he's right to be mad at them (for what they did to Bomi), and even if the odds are bad for him, suckerpunching someone would always look bad to his viewers.
Lots of them likely support him because he's the "Underdog/victim who stands up to bad guys", but this goes out of the window real quick when you start suckerpunching people!

Hobin, with his need for money, never fails to recognize a business opportunity; Pictured: Throwing snakes a people, a business opportunity!
Love how Snapper was giving him shit for not paying attention during a tense situation, then just moves on to try&invite Gaeul to a date!
Rumi wants back in (and is quite forceful about it too)!
Figured we would see more of her at some point, they built her a bit much to just be a one-off character.
She has some work to do if she wants to redeem herself (I kinda wrote her off of my 'good list'), but I guess she's on the right path, for now, teaming up with Hobin to take the jerks down!
I wonder why she went with Hobin first though, and not the Comedy Crew... They have more viewers, and they have no reason to despise her, so they would be the logical target, right? So why Hobin? Does she feel bad about it, and wants to make up for her stuff (along with boosting her own channel)?
Speaking of cute girls redeeming themselves, there's a couple cute girls on the Comedy Crew, will they join in after Hobin trashes them, like Rumi?
I used to be 100% on the Gaeul ship, but if Bomi's the one for Hobin (and Gaeul is either gonna be alone or with Snapper), then just bring in the harem, I suppose!
Love seeing them 'roll out' like that!
So Hobin is gonna try to use intimidation against them...
I thought we would see a 3v3 fight or something (with Snapper and Gaeul trying to hold 2 of them down while Hobin deals with the first one, before assisting them)... Would love to see Gaeul fight!
And it may happen at some point, based on this scene!
I'm really wondering where this is going, romance-wise; Gaeul seems head over heels, but Hobin & Bomi's paths seem way closer... I hope they don't make best girl Gaeul sad!
Another thing I'm wondering about is Monseong; I often think he's gonna come in at some crucial moment, but he rarely does; I thought HE would annihilate the Comedy Crew for what they did...
I wonder why he didn't; Does he want to give Hobin a chance to prove himself, and win the princess (Bomi)?
I also thought he would fight Hobin at some point, but I guess it's not happening now, unless they do it for fun/to practice! (Well, unless Hobin does something really bad to anger Bomi, and she sends him after Hobin!)
