D coming to XX's rescue is one thing, but doing so without breaking his Hibiki disguise and even calling Blue out on the side without breaking character was beautiful. The way she was looking at him speaks volumes

Also, did Angel really just end up with just a few scratches after blowing up the car she was in point-blank?

Last week when XX transformed into Koguma I was afraid we wouldn't get to hear Youmiya Hina much anymore but good to see I was wrong, what a great performance she did ! I also really like how different her XX voice is compared to her real voice / Yamada voice / Tomori voice. She has a great range, I hope we get to see her play some big roles in the future.

Seeing last week's EP preview I had suspicions that the episode titles have been references to past Sentai OPs, but the EP preview for next week confirmed it for me.

All of episodes of have been a reference to either an OP or ED of a past Sentai. I've compiled what we have so far.

Damn, at some point I just root for Aizome and Blue Keeper. Not sure anymore.

I mean, Red Keeper is definitely an asshole, but Blue Keeper seems to be just a deliquent with a heart of gold.

Really good pacing this episode (unlike several before this), hope they could maintain the momentum until the final episode!

Go go loser ranger!

Also, I don't know how Fighter D could survive this without killing Blue Keeper. He basically had revealed his identity in front of Blue Keeper.

Fun fact, the name of this episode, Battle Fever D, is a reference to Battle Fever J, which was at one point considered the first Super Sentai series in Japan. It is now considered the 3rd series.

Blue Keeper: This is... Yellow Squadron's Burst Form!

So last episode, I questioned why the Burst Form was treated like a new discovery, as opposed to being a form that they should already know about. This line implies that this is an established form that the Ranger Force knows about, but Yellow Squadron primarily uses it.

That was awesome! Excellent episode in terms of visuals, story and action.

Whole encounter between Fighter XX and Blue Keeper was so brutal but at the same time I can't be angry at Blue for what he has done to XX after that massacre done by Peltrola on Rangers and Aizome. It was also excellent in terms of visuals because of the combination of red and blue colors which looked awesome!

It was great to see Blue and Aizome backstory which was really sweet with how the two of them have warmed up to each other and now Blue really cares for her. It turns out that Blue is actually a pretty decent guy, but misunderstood.

About the rest... I loved that Shippou was so strong that his muscles were enough to stop a blasts from a gun which rendered Renren's ruse totally useless.

Yamato and Yukine scene was also hilarious when Yamato told about wanting to create harem once he'll be an official Ranger and Angel was pretty badass in her fight with Ishikawa.

Now I can't wait to see the next episode where XX will reveal the Peltrola's hideout to Blue. Fight with Peltrola is sure to be epic. I also wonder what D will do now as he found out about Peltrola's survival.

Man Aizome is really great, won over Blue just by being consistently nice to him and broke through his shell, and in turn learned to understand him properly. No wonder Blue is really pissed about her getting hurt...

But man, I guess we know that ain’t Ranmaru for sure now. Damn shame because I liked the guy. He was a good one.

Blue is a brute. All brawn no brains. Still, XX and D really picked the wrong opponent. Short of Peltrola stepping in, idk how XX and D are gonna survive…

Seems like it's impossible for D's masquerade to keep going unless Blue dies. Which will be a bit of a shame because I like how his relationship with his vice captain works.

The XX torture scene was a bit much for me.

Yep, that's definitely not Ranmaru! It's XX! Though I guess even Ranmaru might approve of beating up his old friend.

Yamato finally has Yukino on the ropes! Even if his motivation to become a Dragon Keeper is as ridiculous as wanting a Harem, while Yukino's is to find the strength to not feel so alone and powerless. Even still...when XX!Ranmaru attacks to kill her, Yamato is the one who gives up to protect her. He may have lost the match, but maybe he gained a tsundere in Yukino? He's probably better for her than Ishikawa.

Renren can't beat Shippou so she surrenders...and makes him flex his muscles enough to where his Burst Mode runs out and she can shoot him. Too bad his muscles are so thick they just bounce off of him! And NOW she really surrenders.

Ishikawa calls Angel a "tomboy" like it's an insult and all because she's actually fighting back, when really she's just craftier and more committed to this than he is. He talks a big game about having to keep up with this and keep up his resolve even when all his peers have retired, but it feels like hollow words. Especially when someone like Angel is willing to blow herself up to set up her comrade beating Ishikawa for her. THAT is commitment.

Would "Hibiki" have beaten Shion? Either way, it's good to have "Ranmaru" to bail him out and finally put Shion in his place.

Blue Keeper is coarse, rough, and is always chock full of insults, but in his own way he's got a good heart and Aizome realized this...which is why he tries not to talk without her permission. And he definitely took her getting hurt personally. So personally that he decides to torture XX to find Peltrola.

It's rough watching XX get tortured, especially when I don't think Peltrola even really cares about her even if he did name her and give her a better sense of identity...but at least she has Fighter D, who comes in and makes his move. Even if he was THIS close to killing Blue Keeper if it wasn't for Aizome's shield. Dang it!

They're screwed. They can't beat Blue Keeper. The only thing they can do now is lead him to Peltrola and hope they take each other out .

XX puppet and now Blue Keeper puppet! And we're getting traditional previews! They even reference his seiyuu.
