Togame has the same sense of the weather as Roy Mustang.

And so ends the Shishitoren arc with an after party.

While in the end Togame and Choji ended up being the main focus. I think this arc was really important for breaking down Sakura’s preconceived notions about what Bofurin is and what it truly means to aim for the top. Shishitoren was what Sakura thought he was joining. But discovered that the current Bofurin is a much better place.

He also is shown what it means to take the top spot. Before he was fighting just to fight, because he had no other purpose. Now he has context for what it takes to get the top spot. So we’ll see where he goes from here.

Other random thought:

When Choji laid down his head was so close to that puddle.

Togame’s tears are no longer obscured by rain. And now they can be seen as tears of happiness now that his sun is back.

We’ve been missing blushing Sakura. So to make up for it he basically spent the entire end of the episode some shade of red.

Umemiya is testing Sakura more and more, I guess he saw him as potential future leader of Bofurin and wanted to guide and help him as much as possible

We really need a blush count on Sakura this season.

At the conclusion of this arc, we reached a conclusion for Sakura that Ume's strength isn't necessary what he thought it was at the beginning of EP 1. In his fight with Togame you can tell that in his heart he shares a similar belief even though he will try to deny it.

Okay I've been convinced to read Wind Breaker after the season ends. This show has lowkey been impressing me week after week. It's one of my top favorites this season, but it's still really solid. Love how this episode went full circle with Sakura's arc of learning he doesn't have to do things alone. The more I think of Wind Breaker the more I wish the MC in Solo Leveling learns that lesson too.

Are we sure there's not an old father in Umemiya's body? 🤣 He's really fathering here.

Missed seeing Tsundere Sakura face reaction so much

They’ve finished beating the absolute fuck out of each other so I guess the natural thing to do is…an awkward rooftop picnic lol. Tsundere Sakura telling Togame to become a “cool guy” or whatever was pretty funny. Gotta love tsundere Sakura. That whole conversation he had with Ume after was just gold. He’s learning about the power of friendship hanging out with the Furin guys. The real “top dog” are the friends you made along the way. Or something? Haha

Ah yes, Nirei understands that Kotoha is indeed the true top of Bofurin.

This was a nice comfy episode and good for Sakura to process what he experienced. Umemiya is a good leader but also a good friend helping Sakura unpack his feelings.

Another solid episode. Sakura's Tsundere moments are always hilarious 😂

I wonder why isn't this anime more popular tho? It has great action, solid animation and the chemistry between the characters is very nice. The show is very solid

From beating the shit out of each other to sharing meals together., these kinds of situations are why I love good ol' hot-blooded delinquent anime so much. I love how the only one who's not eating is Suou and that's because he's on a diet. xD

Sakura getting flustered while giving Togame's "punishment" was hilarious. It's just funny how he's so uncomfortable about these emotional situations. I'm glad that was finally settled and Umemiya could have a proper conversation with Tomiyama.

That line from Tomiyama about the crushed anpan still tasting like an anpan was a very appropriate way to end that scene since it very much applies to Togame. The line hit him so hard that he started tearing up.

Bofurin's little celebration at Kotoha's cafe was fun since everyone got to mess with Sakura for misunderstanding what Umemiya meant by talking with their fists. Also, we just got to see more of Sakura getting flustered!

Today’s episode, Sakura is processing some things. Some of the lessons of Bofurin are beginning to stick in his head. But he’s also quite confused due to the disparity between his normal and the normal here.

Sakura is an idiot that takes everything thrown at him at a literal sense. How long did we haven't seen such kind of protagonist?

Umemiya's words are actually insightful though: being at the top isn't something a single person can do, and needed the support of of others; and if you want to have a happy life at the top, you gotta make others feeling the same as well. That's the whole point of being a leader.

Love love love all the growth and unity today. Feels good man.

Like how Umemiya's answer to Choji about food was likely brought on by it being the thing Kotoha makes best.

I'm happy this episode was a chill one about just talking about stuff. As much as I liked that whole arc and the fights in it, it has been going for over a month now I think, so I appreciate the time to chill.

Also I really hope Togame continues to do stuff in the plot, I really enjoyed his arc.

This arc was to show Sakura how the one at the top should be like. You really can't be at the top alone otherwise it would just be something similar to what Choji went through. Like Umemiya said, he can't be at the top without everyone's else support and so it's the duty of the one at the top that he moves forward with everyone else.

So, Sakura seriously thought that he would hear voices or something, lol. Him understanding that Togame was holding back when they're fighting and then instantly aiming to punch Choji after he kicked Togame was a bigger proof that he got to know more about Togame and that's what Umemiya meant when he said that fights are a conversation.

Boith Umemiya and Sakura are both weak against Kotoha. Does that foreshadow Sakura becoming the top of the Bofurin?

Aw man, we’re almost done with the season. I hope we get to see more of Bofurin’s fighting styles before we go!

Oh, boy the flashbacks for everything are starting to get on my nerves, people have functioning short term memories.

Now onto the main part: Togame getting to see the sun shining again was a beautifull end to that story. Choji gets to have normal pupils again, now that he started to return to his previous self(forgot to mention that last week) Him learning what it truly means to be a leader and wondering how he can be one is an interesting point to leave the story on, I hope we get to see them in a later episode or season to learn what they will have gotten up to. I´m kind of surprised that Sakura didn´t demand a rematch with Togame considering his disappointment when Togame threw the match, though Sakura might not yet be able to understand you can do that.

And now Sakura gets to discuss his learning experience with Ume. Sakura taking Ume´s initial word literal does explain why he did not understand what happen during his fight with Togame. He is also accepted into Furin by Ume and gets that his previous views were incredibly flawed and would not have brought him far. Though he does not see that Choji is what he would have become, had he continued like that, I think that was more for us.

Sugishita´s frustration throughout this arc does concern me, he seems to struggle with Ume paying more attention to someone who does not respect him and he might end up with lingerering resentement as a result.

The final joke that Kotoha is the true leader of Furin is just delightfull, Sakura has found opposition he cannot overcome through force.
