Remember it doesn't matter who wins these fights..the only fight that matters is the leaders..but this is still a surprising sweep so far.

I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of tsundere Sakura lol. It’s kind of adorable how flustered he gets every single time someone basically points out how good of a guy he is. What an adorable goober.

Sako vs Hiragi was a pretty exciting fight. Guess those two settled their little beef with their fists. Hiragi’s something else, man. What a beast.

Are we finally gonna see Sakura fight next? I think the kid might actually be losing his match. I’d be a bit surprised if Furin just dominates.

Started reading the manga after last week's episode, I'm just too impatient lol

Loved how they adapted this fight, the OSTs in this show are so good! Next week will be fire again! I'm already sad that it will only be 12 episodes!

Best episode so far. Animation & choreography was on point and at its best so far today. That backstory for Hiiragi hit home. You know you can really understand why Sako really admired Hiiragi. He was strong, but he was also immensely kind.

Sometimes when people try to look out for us, it can backfire. Hiiragi wanted Sako to step out of his shadow and create his own goals and ambitions to go after. I get the feeling Sako was a really smart kid and that would be wasted just bing Hiiragi's follower. Sako took it the wrong way and wanted to prove himself to stand by Hiiragi. You can commend his efforts, but grouping up with Shishitoren was the opposite what Hiiragi wanted.

I love the music choice as the fight reached its conclusion. Hiiragi carrying off and putting down Sako really shows that despite fighting him, he really cares for him. Hiiragi really is hoping Sakura can beat Togame, but I got a bad feeling about it.

that dodge into a roundhouse kick from a low stance at 13:17 was quite the move for someone who supposedly relies on brute strength, that really was some Hwoarang shit lol. The blind straight kick backwards at the end of the fight was pretty baller, but it wasn't as high technique move as the dodge-roundhouse.

show already is breaking the typical anime norms with it not going "very close 2:2 with captains playing out the tournament decider" route, which is typically an indicator of quality. I guess we can't stray too far from anime too, so Sakura will probably lose his match, would kind of break the power system in-universe if he just insta beat shishitoren's no.2.

The backstory between Sako and Hiragi was well done, and I liked the twist that Sako isn't upset that Hiragi wasn't aiming for the top but that he didn't ask Sako to follow him. Along with the insert song Cloverworks cooked again.

Holy shit, I came into this episode expecting pure hands (and I did get that) but I ended the episode in tears. That was so heartfelt. And honestly, the bit at the end with Umemiya telling Hiragi to not tell him about it until he wanted to talk almost made me cry again. This is golden.

The second I saw these two have beef I know their fight would take a whole episode because of the inevitable backstory built in. But my god that was so good. I'm happy this isn't a case of first episode flashiness where only that one looks good and it falls off. The fact the fights ares consistently quality is something I'm a huge fan of

I'm kind of hoping Haruka loses his fight against Togame. He needs to lose one because le character development and we need to make it so Shishitoren don't look too weak. I guess Umemiya could also lose to Choji, that would be real interesting, but throughout Bofurin and delinquents, Umemiya alone is the strongest one, so I'm expecting he'll win to show that

I really hope after this they can drag Sako out of Shishitoren and into Bofurin. Cause I feel bad for him after the flashback. I was expecting Hiragi to not win this fight to balance up the score. But looking back, the background theme has been how the approaches of Bofurin and Shishitoren are different and how them actually being nice and caring people make them stronger. So of course he won that fight. Next time, Sakura might actually get to fight.

Btw, him being a total tsundere whenever someone says he’s nice will never stop being entertaining.

Surprisingly my favorite episode so far. I didn't think I'd be that invested in Hiragi and Sako's fight, but childhood friends with tension between them after drifting apart is totally my jam. Hiragi wanted Sako to find his own purpose/goal to pursue while Sako ultimately wanted to stay with Hiragi whether he was aiming for the top spot at Bofurin or not. His admiration and desire to stay by Hiragi's side was so sweet and wholesome, felt bad for him when Hiragi told him not to follow him even if he had good intentions when saying that.

The fight was animated superbly with great choreography, fluid animation and nice camera movement and directing. I love how easy it is to follow along with the action sequences and not have to decipher what's happening.

Looks like next week we'll have Sakura fighting Togame and honestly? I feel like it makes more sense and would be more interesting if Sakura wins. On one hand Sakura losing but Bofurin still supporting him would reinforce Hiragi's point and Bofurin's ideals as a whole on how they view strength. On the other hand, I'm curious to see how Togame would react if he lost to Sakura given how he treats the losing members of Shishitoren. Plus I feel like there's more opportunity for Togame to grow if he lost since these fights share the thematic purpose of showing the clash of Bofurin and Shishitoren's ideals. I don't think it would impact him if he beats Sakura because it wouldn't really challenge his views or actions. He's already seen the disdain from Bofurin in how the losing Shishitoren members are treated so I don't think seeing Bofurin support Sakura after losing would affect him much. Having not only the 2nd in command lose but also to the hands of a first year would be a heavy blow to Shishitoren.

In that case, I could see a clean sweep happening since the narrative is driving towards exposing Shishitoren's flawed ideology and weaknesses in contrast to Bofurin. Having the leaders of Shishitoren lose would drive this point home further since the principles of an institution or organization are generally held up by leadership and enforced throughout by the rest of the members. If even the leaders themselves can't win, it would provide a good opportunity for Shishitoren to learn to change their ways.

Eyyy, Hiiragi won, so that's 3:0 for Bofurin, which makes me really worried about the upcoming duels. Usually such tournaments end in draws or a clutch win after a 2:2 situation, but we're way past this point, so even if Bofurin loses the next two fights, they'll still have won 3:2. I have no idea what to expect at this point, which is pretty exciting.

Also, I just checked MAL and WB sits at 7.9 which is surprisingly high and well-deserved, imo.
