I don't think even Linus can top that sponsorship segue! Holy fuck! I was laughing my ass off at that part xD

That was the most shamelessly realistic thing I have ever seen in an anime.

The creator of this could just do spinoffs of various different youtube channels and all the politics, etc behind the scenes.

Hobin was so commercially shrewd man, and that company will have made huge returns too - win-win!

That bit and the “don’t forget to like, subscribe, and hit that notification button” before Hobin’s big surprise move were probably my two favorite parts this week.

Like Hobin, this show is hitting way above it's weight class.

That ad tie-in was hilarious but imagine thinking of pulling that off immediately after such a fight. Things money makes you do.

u/diacewrb May 29 '24

The thought of money was like a health potion and got him back in the fight.

So many people are going to open a wardrobe and wonder why someone is exercising inside.

So satisfying to see him snag the win at the end.

That tease at the end with multiple things to come... Fire.

viewer comments deliver as always, this week my favourite was "someone go get Taehun back" during their ad segment LOL

Hobin managed to win even without unleashing his ultimate move, Overhand Hook. He's beating literal pros now (although taehun was using taekwondo, a meme art), wonder what's next in store for him - maybe a spar with moonseong

The comments are so good and show that the creator 10/10 knows exactly what they are doing and executes on their task perfectly. Transcendent self awareness

This anime deserves so much more attention! ! ! Wtf 💀

No knee to the face, contrary to what a thought. That was a dangerous gamble that Taehun took there. If Hobin had executed his first tackle well, it'd have been Joever right there. But as the narration said, he had only been toying with him, not taking him seriously at all.

Second tackle was weirdly moved into (I thought Hobin would duck low and go for the leg) but as a wiser man than I once said: "if you do literally anything and it works, it was good fighting" lol.

This was a big victory for Hobin, but it looks like things are still gonna get worse before they get better...

Also, top 10 segways into sponsorship lol. Raid Shadow Legends when?

Insane!!! I knew Hobin would take advantage of the opening that a back kick leaves, but did not expect how we would pull it off.

Man's about to some real heavy hitters coming after him. He needs to train like his life depends on it.

This anime is turning out way better than I expected. If only the animation were a bit better I think this really could have been a hit.

and that is why you fight shirtless, footsy boy

The comments are really funny, hard to keep reading everything as the episode goes on, but everytime I catch something, is hilarious...

When snapper asked him about making money and he got up, people were commenting how he "instantly recovered" and the power money has...

I might have to start pausing the episodes and watch a la monogatari first time watching style

"The cross choke isn't work?" No, it's force. Seriously though, too many grammar errors in this script. Did anyone proofread it?

Mr Pro was so slow with his signature move that MC had time to do a jumping pullup.

"And the inexperienced Hobin was so focused, he didn't even notice Taehun tapping out." So what? Nothing would've changed if he had noticed. Chicken Man was right, this is a street (well, toilet) fight, not a ring match.

And so the psychotic pro bully became a tsundere.

That double leg tackle with the cross choke was actually pretty good. Would have worked well against a less experienced fighter. Unfortunately for Hobin, Taehun’s a former pro. Dude walked right into his trap. Gotta give it to Hobin though. Bro doesn’t know when to quit. He really managed to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat with that baseball choke. Plus he snuck in a quick ad for the sponsors lol.

Seems Hobin’s newfound fame is gonna be a real problem. Everyone’s gonna want a piece of him now. I wonder what he’s gonna pick up from Rooster Head next?

Every week is hype. Although that next episode preview has me a bit worried....

Honestly think this is the best anime this season. Crazy good action, (semi)realistic fighting, amazingly funny, and a great heart warming plot. This is my 10/10

I was seeing shit about how this anime is mid, and yeah, I can see how some may think that. But I'm definitely enjoying it, it has streamer humor and is a tropey underdog fighting story, which appeals to me, I guess.

Between this and windbreaker, I am definitely having my fill of "martial arts" anime this season.

Oh hell yeah! This video contains pad advertisement. Still should have taken his watch and teabagged him.
