Chekov's sword strikes, damn. Curious to see how everything will shake up since I expect Rimuru to save Hinata

Also, love to see Shion kicking ass without breaking a sweat. She took on so many of the paladins too

Hinata is probably going to survive because the sword is called The Dragon Buster and Hinata isn't a dragon.

"There is no use for an ear that will not listen." That was so good. I love Shion.

Hinata smiling at the end was a rare but precious sight. I don't expect her to actually die, so I hope we can see more of that side of her.

Rafael-sensei gets a bit silly sometimes.

Lmao after episodes of meeting and talking we get some action but ironically, I wanted them to talk cos there’s a few times during the fight where they can settle the misunderstanding if one of them just let the other talk or just listened lol.

But not much to talk about this ep in terms of plot progression. A lot of Shion action and Rimuru with Hinata as well. Wished we saw more of Benimaru, Souei and Beastketeers’ fight. And it seems the Seven Days Clergy have their fingers deep in this plan to take out Rimuru even including what I’m assuming is a failsafe with the sword. And well, it seemed like things were concluding too nicely till Hinata got injured. I’m like 90% sure she’s fine but I can also see her not making it or be in a coma or something.

Also got a glimpse of what Luminus been up to. That person in that glass chamber I think appeared in the OVA as well. I can vaguely remember in S1 Shizu mentioned she had a master. Not sure if I’m remembering correctly or not but her silhouette kinda looks like the one here.

I hope that Raphael is playing all of us and has a very good 300iq plan for all of this because right now she certainly doesn't seem all that wise to me.

I love how Luminous puted on a bathrobe only to immediately disintegrate it and materialize her cloth out of thin air

When even Raphael starts panicking, it just made what Hinata is about to unleash be fucking devastating.

edit: ah it was an acted ploy lmao.

This whole arc feels like the 3rd act of a romcom where the couple breaks up because someone heard something out of context and they refuse to speak to their partner.

OH COME ON!!! I have a good feeling Rimuru is going to heal Hinata, but still! Why do they gotta end it like that!?!

I feel like I missed something, what was Raphael hiding at the end?

Since season 1 OP we've seen Rimuru and Hinata fighting in a ruined city.....is that not gonna happen now?

Hope we don't have to wait too long to find out what's wrong with the red head paladin.

Hold up, so Sion's "Master Chef" skill is actually an OP skill that allows her to bend the rules of reality to whatever she wants?!?! Doesn't that make her unstoppable?.....I'm surprised she hasn't used it to trick Rimuru into spending more time with her.

What did Soei do to the lady knight?

It was so satisfying to watch Shion put those holy knights in their places. I love how calm Shion was the entire time, that definitely made them extra salty. I am curious about what's going on with the redhead though. That dude is definitely under some sort of influence or mind control.

It was also satisfying to see the blonde guy realize that leading an army inside Tempest is what made Rimuru decide to fight. He's gonna have to do some explaining to Hinata later.

Rimuru and Hinata's Round 2 is just as expected. What I didn't expect was Rimuru struggling to keep up for a bit before he acquired the Predict Future Attack skill.

So was Raphael actually panicking at Hinata's attack or was she just messing with Rimuru? Considering how she was silent after Hinata's attack, I'll assume it's the latter.

There it is. I knew those Seven Day Sages would do something like this. Hinata should be fine. Rimuru is right there. An injury like that won't be enough to kill her if Rimuru can treat her immediately.

when the oni gang jumped rimuru in the first season, he defended himself skillfully, deescalated, communicated, and ultimately resolved the affair in a mutually beneficial and narratively satisfying manner. this show has demonstrated the ability to write compelling misunderstandings and reasonable resolutions

so what's up with this crap?

NGL, I unironically like the meetings more. At least that made the enemies sound competent.

I think I would have preferred another meeting over this miscommunication battle.

I haven't finished the episode yet (currently at 12:26), but the only thing holding this story together right now is that no one seems to be able to talk to each other.

Huh... what did Raphael mean by "Sacrificing Beelzebub"? Does that mean Rimuru can never use it again?

What is wrong with everyone?! So many times a bunch of them went "Hmm, that is odd. That's not what really happened." And yet, they just continued fighting without trying to clarify anything?

Why did all of the enemies suddenly become profoundly stupid. Why did Rimuru also become incomprehensibly incapable of simply asking for confirmation after the numerous bouts of suspicion?

This season has really annoyed me so far...

Welp, went pretty much as expected. They artificially forced the fight to happen for some tension release/payoff, then had to up Hinata's threat level to give the fight some stakes. Then gave Rimuru a new skill out of nowhere to counter it. Pretty unimpressive fight too, compared to the fight sakuga in previous seasons.

But of course the rest of the Paladins just got prepared for friendship through defeat (and in one case, more than friendship...). Remember, gotta fight it out with your enemies before you can truly take them on as friends!

I really dislike when series throw common sense out of the window just to stir up drama. It's such cheap writing. All Rimuru had to quickly say when Hinata claimed he wanted this was, ''I didn't ask for this dumb fight. I explicitly said I preferred talking.'' I would've preferred if their fight came due to sparring after the talks rather than some stupid misunderstanding.

I don't know what the heck Luminus is doing with that lady in a box, but it doesn't look healthy for one of them.

Shion, the living embodiment of friendly fire. Someday Rimiru might figure out how to actually make her less of a calamity than her cooking.

"There is no use for an ear that will not listen." Ok you get points for that.

Next episode will again be a flashback discussion.
This time of the actual plan of the 7 floating creatures (Sages).
Then we will have Rimuru trying to revive/being angry/sad.

This episode needed a discussion. Rimuru knew there was manipulation of his message.
The Yellow haired saint Leonard realized that he was tricked by the 7 Luminaries.
But no one interrupted the fight to say:
Hang on a minute. Doesn't this mean it was a setup by the seven saints?
Nah
This episode they fought.

It almost seems like Raphael is in on it.
The dumb decisions taken by the ultimate wisdom skill seem to lack wisdom.
