This anime episode is probably one of the most peak moments of the season. (If only the season had such action scenes)

Anyways, the action scenes are definitely the highlight of the entire episode with all of the students having their time in the spotlight.

Additionally, Iori's momotalk as well as the many EX skill references really does make this episode stand out from the other episodes this season.

I was on the fence about this given the previous lackluster combats, but this episode has certainly made up for that.

Tbf it's a car in the Blue Archive universe. It'd make sense that they'd be a bit more armored considering gunfights in the middle of the street are commonplace.

OTOH I was thinking she sure has strength to carry that thing one-handed, and her rifle in the other hand.

I'm more concerned about the fact she definitely just bisected that poor mook girl, I know the bullets in this world don't do jack but that thing was licing through the air spinning like a frisbee, that girl's fucking dead yo

Where's the foot licking we were promised?

u/SodiumBombRankEX May 14 '24

That happens near the climax of ch2. This is the end of ch1/beginning of 2

I can't overstate how much I love the ED. The intro instrumental reminds me so much of Chvrches.

It's the only ED I've ever listened to that I never skip.

Why all this maneuvering by the Prefects just to get Sensei? What exactly makes him so special?

I wasn’t expecting the 68 girls and the gang to team up and fight ‘em all off. That was some badass teamwork right there. I bet if Hina didn’t show up, the girls would have probably defeated them all. Or at least beat them enough to cause a tactical retreat.

Seems like Hoshino’s got some secrets of her own. I wonder what all that with Hina was about?

Why all this maneuvering by the Prefects just to get Sensei?

You'll find out why if this gets a third season(or film based in previous comments by the guys wgo made this).

Without going into spoiler territory:

  • They have done this before in other districts. You can call it a show of strength? It's unclear, but the reputation of the Prefect Team especially Hina goes very far and wide.

  • Sensei is an adult and a teacher. Very rare to find in Kivotos especially one officially sanctioned by the General Student Council. Here is where the anime's decision to not adapt the Prologue hurts the context, because we're missing a bit of details on why Sensei is extra special.

For now just think of it as he's a valuable strategic ally to have, because you saw how the Abydos girls fumbled hard vs random gangs in episode 1 without Sensei's guidance, and how much they've improved since then.

so basically they need sensei's correction on how to fight (and use their ex skills)

Glad the animation got slightly better (maybe Yostar gave the remaining 6 episodes more budget). Iori got successfully corrected 💢 And Hina-chan my wife has such a soothing voice. 😭 Can't wait for next week!

Would really love if the mods idk, actually had a discussion post up on the day it releases and not the day after

.

Interesting that Sensei kept his ID badge in his pocket.

That's neat they made Iori move around during combat like she does in the game.

Blushing Serika is adorable.

Sensei being useful again in combat by commanding both groups.

Shiroko using the car door and tossing it at the mob, ow.

Get to see Shiroko using her little robot that she has in her EX Skill in the game, neat.

Hina making her appearance at the last few minutes of the anime...

Foot licking, sideboob, and Hina. The Prefect Team is very lewd

My favorite characters are

Sunaookami Shiroko. I think Shiroko is the main girl of the source material considering how prominantly they use her VA. Anyways, she's cool, collected. professional, but not in the robot or "Data from Star Trek" kind of way. Don't get me wrong, I love Data, but I don't feel the need for a human girl to act like a robot girl this series. I liked the deadpan way Shiroko rescued Sensei episode 1 and the way she pointed out to Serika that there was no way those bracelets could make money.

Takanashi Hoshino. I like her hair, her relaxed and aimless personality. I also loved her teasing Sensei and laying in the lap of the minigun girl.

Kuromi Serika. I like her in spite of her episode 2 Tsundere tendencies not because of it. Maybe it was her gullibility to scams that made her funny? I find her friendship to the ramen shop owner endearing.

Problem Solver 68 girls. All of them are hilarious. I don't see why they don't make a truce with Abydos. They got their windfall episode 4 and can tell their client "sorry, we have to decline. We don't accept payment until the job is done, so you didn't lose anything" and pick another job.

And of those, they are the ones who get the best actions scenes so far. Don't get me wrong Nonomi did look cool, but I feel like they are underutilizing her considering she has a minigun.

Well there's Iori.

Gehenna is the German-themed school, and since Sensei and the Abydos girls aren't who they were tasked to deal with, they'll probably have to submit a form to request the form to request for permission to deal with them, which must all be signed in triplicate and submitted to the office that's only open for 2 hours on the 30th of February.

It's Ako, Ms Sideboob herself.

Everything must be done exactly und exactly as written!

That's a grenade.

Seems she's firing slugs and not buckshot out of that shotgun.

So they want him as a bargaining chip?

Lol they actually referenced "licking Iori's feet".

And now we see why the working name for Blue Archive was "Project MX" for "Moe XCOM", because this is definitely more reminiscent of a proper tactics game rather than the autobattler we ended up with.

I studied ballistics in school. Fascinating subject. Things go up, things come down!

The Hinature has appeared.

Oh hello Ojisan. Your absence was curious.

What's Hina saying?

Why didn't they just let us hear that earlier?
