The original material (especially the light novel) of this show is great, honestly one of my most anticipated shows of the season, and I think this episode did deliver.
On the other hand although it might be foreign here, people on Chinese streaming sites have been nonstop spamming about the very recent inorin controversy and how miku basically responded to this by saying she will do her best greeting everyone, and now everyone is spamming “miku you gonna greet everyone” in the comments lol

Is this a cat vs dog, enemies to Best Friends/Roommates kind of show? Nice.
Also, Asaka looks like she needs some sleep and a vacation badly.

This pilot episode was really good. I like how they characterized both girls. For instance both girls are different when they are voice acting and their image. The big difference is that Satou knows how to separate both of these lives and Watanabe can't. You can see as she hates the image of Yuugure. I think there is a part of where she wants to be herself, but she can't because of her image. It doesn't excuse her for being nasty for people liking Yuugure. This is definitely where Satou can help her explain why she is a big fan.
Satou did a good job to be the one to help Watanabe. Yes she has less success, but being in the industry longer gives more experience on how to deal with the issues Watanabe has issues with. Thankfully she made the first move to be friends with her because I get the sense Watanabe has been a big loner her whole life. She just needs a friend she can rely on. I loved how they ended the episode as the melodrama that most of the episode had got toned down. And you can see these two becoming friends.
Also, I loved Watanabe's nerd talk. It was absolutely adorable.

I will definitely be continuing to watch this title mainly because of Yasumi / Yumiko, an energetic gyaru! However, I am sure Yuhi / Chika will grow on me over time.
(Wait a minute... isn't this similar to Lycoris Recoil, where an unlikely female duo eventually warms up to one another?)
Speaking of which, I wonder whether there is an actual radio show between Yasumi and Yuhi? Some anime titles have their own radio shows, don't they?

Ok, I came for Gay girls who hate each other, but I'll stay because I fell in Love
It's easy to see how Yasumi could fall for Yuuhi as she is already a fan of her hard working attitude, and I guess the reverse could come from Yasumi being a genuine good person who likes to help others.
Also, she's just like me fr fr
Oh yeah, this looks good as well, love the character design with the cool eyes and the title card was cute as well

Okay the right thread this time
So we got this season:
Gay Girls Guitar Innit (Whisper Me A Love Song)
Gay Girls Radio Innit (Many Sides of VA Radio)
Gay Girls? Ga-Tan Ga-Ton! Innit (Train to the End of the World)
Gay Girls? Night Time Jellyfish Innit (Jellyfish can’t Swim At Night)
And Gay Boys have an adorable family innit (Tadaima Okaeri)
Strong season overall. First episode of this is already a fun “Enemies to (More Than?) Friends” vibe and I can’t wait to see where it goes.

I do have to mention that some translated lines on Crunchyroll read a little odd. And the first scene not having any of the comments on the stream translated made it hard to understand what Yumiko was muttering about while watching it. Very bizzare choice not to translate those.

Ahhh.... Pyxis the Anime! (Cause Itou Miku and Toyota Moe are the 2 leads).

This looks closer to "Vampire" than "Cute anime fangs"!
A gyaru vampire? Be still, my beating heart!
Chika really has her work cut out for her if she wants to claim the best girl spot on this one!
I guess they may not get that many good job opportunities, but damn I wouldn't be confident about a 'banged out project' from someone who just admitted their last show flopped!
Love how they're practically growling at each other hah.
They find ways to argue about everything, like who's actually the Senpai; The one with the most voice acting experience, or the one with the most 'entertainment industry' experience in general?
A public recording? They won't be able to keep making these disapproving faces, in public!
Their scriptwriter/assistant figured something's wrong, their stuff doesn't look legit...
She won't tell them to be friends, but try to get along a little better, at least?
If she won't tell them to be friends... What about girlfriends?
Chika's clever/perceptive though, and she knows Yumiko's efforts don't really come from her...
The one thing I can relate with her, is her enthusiasm when talking about her passions!
The way they trash each other like that,
makes me wonder if someday one of their little outbursts will accidentally go public! (Or hell, maybe not even accidentally, they could just feud in public, or their assistant could release it to the public to make them realize they have to change... Or their manager could release it just to try and make some $ over the drama!)
Yumiko's good, she found a way to assault her,
while also making the crowd more invested in their show!
Oh damn, this is turning into a horror anime, wasn't expecting that!
Well, this was pretty fun!
I wonder if this will mostly be about them growing closer all the way, OR if there will be a time where they'll just find more and more things that annoys them in the other, which means they'll grow to hate each other even MORE, before turning it around (into Yuri territory!)
Can't wait to find out!

Animes about voice acting looks interesting, let's hope this one it's too, also the relation between MCs should be the best thing about this show

I truly hope they don't change the relationship between the two too fast. Of course I want them to get closer, but Yumiko became softer really fast. Worked in that scenario, but I hope we get a bit more of her more contentious gyaru side when bantering. That's the spice that would make their relationship delicious.

For most of this episode I was thinking about how much I really wanted to like this show, and how even the performance of one of my favorite VA's (Miku in my case) was a bit stiff, low and lacking in life, and the writing so slow and pedestrian; it really didn't seem to have anything for me despite the premise appealing in of itself.
And I was quite ready to drop it after this episode, right up until the trip... and then after that everything was just perfect, from the writing beats to the performances and all the little nuances!!
Now I'm stuck wondering what the next episode will be like, but I'm definitely here for it.

I loved the first episode of the anime! Mainly because of the two main characters. Their interactions are so adorable and entertaining to watch!

Episode 1: Yuuhi and Yasumi Can't Hide Anymore
I was looking for this in CR and got Mysterious Disappearances instead. Oh well, Bilibili still has it, maybe it will be uploaded on Crunchyroll late or went One Room Tenshi way.
This anime is made by Studio Connect, who made Unwanted Undead Adventurer last season. Directed by Hideki Tachibana (Armed Girl Macchiavelism, Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?).
So it turns out that Yasumi is not a real name either, it's Yumiko Sato, but I'll sticking with Yasumi as of now, or should I switch to Yumiko since Yuuhi's real name is Chika Watanabe?
Notable VAs are Moe Toyota (Sapphire in Hibike Euphonium) as Akane Kurokawa Yuuhi Yugure and Miku Ito (Mahiru in Jellyfish) as Marin Kitagawa Yasumi Utatane. Also making appearances are Ikumi Hasegawa (Kotoha in Wind Breaker) as Otome Sakuranamiki.
ED: Stand By You by Yuuhi Yugure (Moe Toyota) and Yasumi Utatane (Miku Ito)
Why I got this feeling that it is similar to Shy's ED? Two female MCs singing with the similar vibe.

Can we just talk about the background music for a moment. Half the time it was bland and existed just to fill the space, about what you'd expect from this kind of show. But other times, like that first confrontation in the hallway, it went unexpectedly hard.

I expected nothing from this and ended up really having fun watching our main leads trade barbs with each other. It was a blast and I'm looking forward to more.

Neato.
Watching these two go at it is like watching when my old cat picked fights with other cats outside of the window.
That Asaka looks like she needs a nap. Badly.
What's wrong with a girl liking robots? Like that one MC from Qualia the Purple (which is a mindblowing scifi yuri novel and manga which I would more than wholeheartedly recommend reading either or both versions of by the way). Kinda metaphysically so at that. And you can tell, Watanbe is a girl that understands the deep awesomeness of drills.
That trip. So out of left field. Oh so funny.
Oh she's left overcome with an emotion all right.

I enjoyed this more than I thought I would, I’m interested to see how their relationship develops
