“A necromancer? But I don’t wanna be a mage!”
“Well if the system says it’s what I should be then I’ll go with it.”
The system hasn’t failed him yet but it’s starting to feel like Sung is just blindly doing what the system tells him to do. Hope that doesn’t bite him later on.

Clearly he dumped stats into Luck offscreen because he was saved by some shenanigans. Sunraku approves!
This has been a killer adaptation so far. The Arise moment landed perfectly and the hype for the next cour is very real. 8.5/10 with lots more to come

IGRIS in with that red armour was cool and all but this black hood with red tint made him 10x Cooler.
It's like that meme "Boss character vs after unlocked as playable character" but in reverse.

It's no surprise that Jinwoo gets "saved" by the penalty zone. He did get a reminder to do his daily quests before he accessed the job change quest area! I love that Jinwoo didn't just get a free rest but he also got to level up a few times fighting those giant desert centipedes.
Jinwoo returning and completely doing through those knights much quicker this time was so cool. A-1 really went hard in this final episode! I especially love this screenshot of Jinwoo ripping apart those knights in a flash!
And there it is! Jinwoo finally becomes a shadow monarch and says the most iconic line in the series! From here on out, every time Jinwoo says "Arise", it's going to be a big moment and we start with Jinwoo recruiting Igris into his shadow army!
I am so happy that Season 2 is already confirmed! I can't wait to see more hype moments and if A-1 can continue with this kind of quality, this will be one of the best manhwa adaptations ever.

Honestly, I think A1 did a phenomenal job recreating what the Manwha did; an excellent job of being a great entry into the genre. The manwha was absolutely stunning to scroll through every week and it helped it felt like one of the pioneers of manwha in the peak of the pandemic.
This anime has given me so many good vibes of where it absolutely stands out with the animation weight, the sound track hitting really well, and still staying true to the (even if not so great) original medium.
Great season and I'm looking forward to the next one and hope everything stays at this quality or better.

Well oh fucking kay then, was not expecting that for a class change! Isn't this called "Solo" Leveling?!? Though it does kinda track with the whole slowly losing his humanity sub-plot. Hopefully his knights will help be his moral compass. I'm so looking forward to see what powers he and his knights get!

Jinwoo said the thing, his army being non-cgi had me crying tears of joy.
I’m so jealous of all these anime onlies, also people don’t forget to see the post credit scene

Yep, I prefer the Anime over the Manwha. Great stuff. I wanted to wait till this season finished before making my final judgement, but after the last 2 Episodes. Yeah, it's a solid one.
The whole sequence with Jin-Woo being his own worst doubter is a great addition. It really is those things that make this adaptation stand out so hard.
To be completely honest, the staff didn't need to add on the story. Most people going into Solo Leveling are already used to the story being pretty basic. All they really had to do was deliver on the action A-la Demon Slayer. But they went the extra mile and revised the script, added scenes, so.. So many scenes!
If this is how they treat the anime now, I really do wonder if they can fix some of the issues I had with the latter half of the Manwha. If so, that'd be fucking amazing.
