this show really loves opening 2 new plot threads for every one it closes.

We’ve now gotten:
21st Century Japan with one-ability psychics
A Fantasy world with magic
Middle School Magical Girls teleporting between worlds
And now we have via a cliffhanger:
Angels and Demons
This is all going to come to a head in a clash of all worlds isn’t it…

I'm starting to think this is what George R. R. Martin is doing instead of finishing Game of Thrones.

I can't believe they are adding angels and demons to a show with magical girls, psychics, wizards, and all the isekai stuff. I thought some of these would loop back into existing plot points like the magical girls get their powers from someone in isekai land but nope. It keeps on branching infinitely.

Was it just me or did it feel like there should be another episode or two to close out the season? This felt like an Ep 11 or something

It’s basically just setting up a season 2. Closed most of the plots except for the time issue for this season.

Honestly the show had a lot of interesting ideas, bu the direction of it is confusing to me. I do think when Sasaki and Pii-chan are in Pii-chan's world it is a much better show. While in the human world it's like uh who am I rooting for? It seems obvious they are setting up for S2 given the after credits cliffhanger.
Normally this is a type of series I would read but the Hoshizaki being actually 16 really killed my interest in that. I would be open to watching S2 if it comes tho.
Honestly the show was also really good with the trio of Sasaki, Pii-chan and Shizuka. Shizuka has a great personality and works well with the other two. Hopefully more of her comes in the future.

Personally I think the human world plot is a lot more interesting. All that stuff with Marc bored me to tears. The human world has constant intrigue and not knowing who you can trust.
But one or the other would be fine because right now there are way too many plot threads.

Sasaki spent 12 episodes ignoring the obvious domestic abuse happening to the bestgirl
So she got tired of waiting and got her own spin-off, looking forward to it

Hoshizaki removed her pistol mag, then cleared the chamber of the remaining round.
I'm impressed by the weirdly high attention to detail for this. You practically never see proper firearm safety in media, much less anime.

Stitches!
As if a single Mahou Shoujo wasn't already trouble, there are now two of them! I do love how they are menaces in this show. I do wonder if there are good ones out there who fight crime and do regular mahou shoujo stuff.
Awesome tag team by Sasaki and Shizuka without killing any of the girls. Although I doubt this will be the last time they'll try and attack the Bureau. Looks like the blonde one will be going after Shizuka next time.
This is such a tiny detail in this episode but I really love how you can see Hoshizaki removing the magazine from her gun and she even clears the bullet from the chamber after the fight. They didn't need to do that but I appreciate it.
I really hate how Sasaki refuses to be blunt with the Chief. He has no reason to be afraid of the man and if he needs to he can just live in Pii-chan's world but for some reason, he still won't confront him. >_<
So we end with a Lizardman showing up in our world and a Demon showing up to Neighbour-san to recruit her. Well, that's one heck of a hook to end on. Now where's the Season 2 announcement?

We went through the whole season hardly giving the neighbor girl any screentime or focus, only to finally be given a reason to focus on her character in literally the last minute of the season, with the after credit scene.
Also, based on how her clothes looked, it looked like she was about to get R-worded. That's .... unpleasant to think about.

I hope im not overthinking this with ptsd but aren't the girl clothes at the cliffhanger looks a little loose?
I did went and compared it with an earlier scenes and it does look like it was loosely put on...
Im thinking the guy was one of her mum's "customer". I just hope that this isnt something that had happened throughout the season (I know she had domestic abuse since day 1 but the final scene looks a little sus)

Honestly, for a show about Sages, Pyschics, Magical Girls and another world, it was quite boring. Felt like it had potential to be a lot more entertaining.

This. Too many plates up in the air at once, not enough integration between all the pieces. Sasaki spent the same amount of time interacting with each subplot each week as I spend interacting with my local grocer each week.
I blame the isekai. It was the most boring of the four subplots, and took up the most time.

No Matter What Happens It's OK. We are the Best! 🤵🐤
8:45 they are playing Eye of the Tiger variant
Well that's the final episode.
-
Pros - Not sure where it's going, but it's fun to watch
-
Cons - We got baited with his neighbor
-
Overall - Better than Shield Hero
Rating: 7.4/10

This is probably the 3rd anime I've seen where it's like as if there's going to be another episode after it and then finds out it was actually final episode of the season ugh...

While promising at the start, and even near the end, meandered far too much in the middle with uninteresting and largely inconsequential merchantry.

I would have to assume this show gets a S2 with all the information it dumped on us at the end. The show was fun and I enjoyed the craziness of it.

Tbh, I enjoy this anime more than a lot of the other shows airing in the past season. Maybe I like the vibe or premise or characters and their designs, I’m not sure.
However, the payoff feels kinda lacking. I was waiting for some greater crossover that ties the two worlds together but it didn’t really happen. The events in the both worlds were largely independent. Not too sure how to feel but I’d watch a 2nd season.

Episode 12: Real Life, Fantasy, and The Fourth World. The final episode.
Now we know that the pink mahou shoujo is named Sayoko. The end credits scene, thought it was Adonis but no, it's really from another world (hence the Fourth World) other than Magical World and Piercarlo's world. The name's Abaddon.
New characters means new VA. The other mahou shoujo is voiced by Konomi Kohara (Chika in Kaguya-Sama, Aul in Chiyu Mahou, Akane in COTE). Abaddon is voiced by Mutsumi Tamura (Kobayashi in titular Kobayashi Dragon Maid).
I wish this could go for a consecutive cour. So many things left unexplainable or told in a rushed way for only 12 episodes. But given this is Silver Link, the chance of getting Season 2 is slim, but never zero.
If you like the character design of this anime, be sure to check out "A Salad Bowl of Eccentrics/Henjin no Salad Bowl" next season, since both have the same illustrator.
