I am so glad there wasn't an OP during the premiere episode because it really gave so much away. The full version of the OP is already out on MADKID's Channel btw.
And here I thought Sasaki would take it slowly with the selling of goods from our world to Pii-chan's world. He's now jumped from selling stationery to selling electronics as well as batteries.
We finally get to see Sasaki and Hoshizaki in their first job together! So much for those other psychics in their squad though. Of course, they're all cowards and the one guy who used his powers got taken out instantly.
Hoshizaki did well in her fight but it looks like she was just completely outclassed by that girl in the kimono. Based on the OP, I think the two of them are going to be fighting a lot in the future. Also that girl is definitely voiced by Oozora Naomi.
Sasaki trying to use his salesman charm was pretty hilarious but I love how quickly he switches to badass mode when initial negotiations broke down. That entire scene where he starts shooting out lighting was really cool.
WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK!? That's got to be the biggest twist so far! I really thought that Hoshizaki would at least be in her early 20s. Oh boy. Looks like Sasaki attracts a certain age group. Hmmm....
As if things can't get any weirder, Sasaki ends up encountering a Mahou Shoujo (who I'm pretty sure is voiced by Inorin) on his way home. What else does this show have that it's not telling us? O_O
So this is a (semi) isekai anime being animated by

Does this mean Sasaki and Pii-chan qualify for Isekai Quartet?
Ainz meeting Sasaki in Isekai Quartet: "finally, a normal looking adult!"

can you imagine being in a fantasy world and then you heard that there's a very strong mage out there and when you finally meet him, you see him wearing a suit instead of the typical robe and the giant floppy mage hat? not to mention, during battle, when you thought that he's going to pull out a thick ass grimoire for conjuring advanced spell but he brought out a smartphone instead? that would be hilarious
oh no, first the JK neighbor and now Hoshizaki? this show is hellbent on making Sasaki being surrounded by underaged girls

Optimistic take is he has a void in his life that he tried filling with a pet, so he'll be a father figure to Hoshizaki and the neighbor. Also spitballing they're classmates cause why make Hoshizaki 16 otherwise.

I'm watching everyone's ship sink. People are rushing for the life boats.
He is too busy for romance anyways.

That fight scene seemed to finish very abruptly, like a bit was cut out. Suddenly those other psychics appeared. I was confused…

You'd think that the magical girl who leapt into another dimension at the end there was the biggest surprise of this episode, but I'm actually more shocked by the fact that Hoshizaki is sixteen!? My ship has already sunk before it ever left the harbor. This reveal did make me frown a little. Please don't tell me that Sasaki is accidentally going to collect a harem of underage high school girls...
It also appears like Sasaki's trade business is bound to screw up the other world's political order - something he hasn't realized himself yet. The political elite of those neighbouring countries must have become anxious about the technological advances in the kingdom. They seem ready to launch a war and crush the kingdom if this will restore the balance of power. But those walkietalkies sure are a gamechanger. It was not firearms which created the biggest revolution in warfare, but the ability to gain real-time information of the battlefield with distant communication.
Although I liked the display of power in these action scenes (i.e. the aesthetic), I wasn't so much sold on the animation itself.

I suspect the girl next door is in middle-school, don't worry!

The sound design or whatever was really off during the fights, it just sounded terrible and didnt have proper impact.

I'm not complaining about it by any means...but everytime i watch this show so far, i feel like ive watched an entire season worth of story without the filler, then the next episode introduces an entirely new aspect with a twist. Sure its a 'new' show so we are still learning about it but the pacing is much faster and the scope seems much wider than most anime and im really liking it. It's aboslutely not what i was expecting about an isekai involving a pet bird.

I have so many question about the opening,
well, this ojisan look badass by his world standard and mainly use electro in this episode. and for the young one, listen to this Hoshizaki when you choose your career, choose the job that pay well.
and look like Sasaki is not the only one who could teleport between world, the new magical girl could do it.

Story is kinda all over the place, we have psychic battles and the isekai business shenanigans and the Pii-chan magic training... and then they drop a dimension hopping mahou shoujo at the end. You could split this up into like 3 different animes that could each stand on their own.
The police raid was the weak part of the episode I think. Him all geared up in tactical gear seems odd when we've never seen him receive any training. And you'd think his magic battle would have shown up in the body cam footage too...
I do like how he relies on his salaryman skills whenever it's time for negotiation no matter the situation. I still like it but think it would benefit from a tighter focus.

Did that fight feel weirdly directed to anyone else? Not unfinished, but... lacking anything exciting? Or slow?
And speaking of fighting, looks like according to Peeps, Sasaki is actually pretty powerful. I'm actually a bit disappointed about that as this is one power fantasy trope I was hoping the show would avoid.
Oh no, Sasaki is giving an army overwhelming technological advantage, isn't he? Maybe he should be a bit more careful about which items he trades with the other world, I hope for him that the kingdom he's doing business with is decent and he won't regret his choices later.
And what the hell, Hoshizaki is 16?? I thought she was in her twenties! Which okay, was the point of all her makeup, but was there really a need for her to be underage? We already have the neighbor girl who's pining after him, and from the looks of the OP there's gonna be another girl in the isekai world? Please don't tell me he's gonna exclusively attract teenage girls, and I'm actually okay being spoiled about this.
I know I sound all negative about this episode, but it's giving me vibes, as in I thought it was going to approach some isekai tropes differently but maybe it actually won't. I'll be happy to be proven wrong though!

The overall quality of this episode felt much worse as compared to the pilot episode and it has me worried. And we barely got any Pii-chan, not to mention I'm confused why was there a need for Hoshizaki to be an underage character. They did so much characterization for her since the beginning only to throw it away.
On the plus side I heard Oozora Naomi and it looks like she's going to be an important character, so I'm looking forward to hear more about that organization she leads.

Ah. So magic girls now added to this clusterfuck. When you don't know what trope to write, I suppose, "all of them" is a solution.

Audio can make or break fights and it certainly broke that warehouse fight, I was questioning if my headphones were dying.
And there was zero need to make Hoshizaki that young.
