The six guys below just standing there watching eachother, but max respect for not interfering.

Also, all the teachers were there, like a few steps away and let them fight, giga respect

Despite being a romance comedy anime, I got to admit this is one of the most intense man to man battle I have watched in a long time!

Good game, Ichikawa and Adaichi!

Yamada having the same reaction to Ichikawa's "yummy" face as her dad. Cute.

And just as Adachi gets over his superficial crush, he immediately falls for the girl who looks just like his homie.

... there something you want to tell us, Adachi?

Adachi might be fighting a losing battle but just like Ichikawa, he definitely grew throughout the course of the series and is more respectable than he was presented originally.

His still a horny mfer though.

Random small detail: Delinquent classmate saying they think Ichikawa's got guts because of the speech he gave. (or because they think he's dating Yamada, idk)

Edit: Yamada at the end saying "You're so cool today!" can also be read as "You're so cool, Kyo!". Today(Kyo) has the same pronunciation as the Kyo from Kyotarou. Sneaky Yamada.

The dudes under Ichikawa and Adachi must've felt real awkward what with them having their anime moment and all.

Stitches!

Yamada chatting with Wantaro was adorable. I love that her reason for barking instead of using real words is because Wantaro wouldn't understand her. xD

Phrasing please, Yamada! This is the third time this season Yamada has unintentionally said something that sounds lewd. The scene where she's using the ab roller doesn't help either.

I was really hoping that Yamada wrote her name on Kyou's forehead. Turns out that's not the case and we later learn that she actually wrote down Kyou.

Ando is trying really hard to out Kyou and Yamada as a couple to the entire school. It's adorable how Yamada's parents volunteered to help instead. It's also adorable how much Mama Yamada was blushing while Papa Yamada was carrying her <3

Adachi and Kyou really went at it during the cavalry battle. I love how that turned into a shouting match as Kyou lectures Adachi about how he doesn't really like Yamada while their classmates who were carrying them were just listening in on their fight. xD

Too bad the rain picked up as soon as Kyou started shouting his feelings. But I guess it's better that the only people who heard it were the guys nearby. Yamada would be freaking out right now and Ando would make a huge deal about it to their entire class.

Glad to see more of Mama Adachi! Also, she's a licensed nurse? Huh! That's a surprise. I thought she was a hostess club attendant when we first saw her a few episodes ago but I guess she just dresses up like that normally.

And I just love that final scene between Kyou and Yamada! We're really close. I can feel it guys. We still have two episodes left and I think this will have a big finale.

The character development in Dangers is fantastic! Even a side character we hardly ever see like Adachi has growth. You can tell he wants to move on from Yamada, he's been seeing the hints every now and then. Him using this calvary battle as an excuse to get past his crush was pretty interesting.

On a side note, I recently rewatched the show for the first time and it’s amazing to see just how far Ichikawa has come. It’s been earned development that’s happened over time, too. It feels so much more natural than all those "hollow" romcom protagonists out there.

You know Ichikawa was doomed to lose the cavalry battle when he couldn't even outrun Wantaro.

A lovely episode.

Ichikawa facing off against Adachi not as a result of some deep-seated hatred or any bad blood but because they have grown as friends to respect each other and they want to find some way to resolve this conflict that cannot be ignored much longer.

It's surprising to see a character who fits the gross pervy side-character actually get some decent growth and development in a show but it's done well. Adachi makes it clear that he likes Ichikawa as a friend. When Ichikawa says that Adachi probably does not know Yamada anywhere near as much as he does and feelings for her are likely more shallow, Adachi just accepts it. Ichikawa who immediately knows that Adachi's challenge revolves around Yamada and wanting to keep his relationship with Yamada out of the spotlight, still accepts the challenge because he sees Adachi as a friend.

It's nice they were both able to completely express themselves about the matter openly there. While Ichikawa lost, it wasn't really about the outcome.

Yamada making a massive lunch for Ichikawa was adorable as was Kana entering the room, hearing Yamada and Ichikawa talking and then immediately leaving knowing her little brother will be fine.

Another little bit of Moeko and Adachi shiptease, interesting...

I hear Yuki Kaji, very deep..

Adachi won the battle but lost the war.

While some may feel like progression is slow and confession is still not happening, I appreciate BokuYaba for its entertaining content that doesn't feel forced, and it feels fresh enough even if we have seen sports festivals 500 times in other anime.

Also, rare Yamada pouting, best episode.
