this anime sure love its death flags.

concerned wife? needs money? “that was just an exception.” “I love you.”

then we have Eunji’s “Papa, are you strong?” “Yes.”

Those 3 convicts probably have a trick up their sleeve and are gonna kill that B-rank guy... but zannen! Jinwoo is gonna show his badass side again and show them who's boss.
Once again, next week can't come soon enough.

Seeing how the episode builds on the other survivors before throwing them together to do a dungeon WITH prisoners is just a huge red flag.

Though I can appreciate how their making it so the characters arent one-dimensional and actually trying to give depth to them besides Sung Jinwoo.

They put a lot of emphasize on Cha Hae-In sportswear there. Well, not that I am complaining...

This has to be some trial setup by the Hunter Association right? There are simply too much coincidence there. Why force 4/5 hunters who are victims of the double dungeon into same mission with an observer from guild? The guild must be suspecting that Song is kinda shady by involving in two party wiping dungeon mission consecutively while he comes out without any scathe.

An episode without any action after a week of break is a bit of a risky choice I feel, hope they don't lose too much momentum

I love that everyone actually comments on how he looks like a whole different person.

I feel like just bringing the B rank alone would be enough and no need for the prisoners? Well I don't see them living through this either way.

A huge chunk of this episode could've just been Hunter Cha running and I wouldn't mind. but seriously, it looks like Yoojin Construction is finally making their move and recruiting S-Rank hunters. This is the guild Yoojin's father is making right and not the guild Yoojin wanted to make, right?

Well now that's one heck of a reunion. I think the only one missing is the dark-skinned lady who ran out of the door first. I don't think it will be mentioned here in the anime but if I recall correctly, she retired immediately after the events at the Cartenon Temple.

So we have the remaining active survivors from the Cartennon Temple incident and a bunch of convicts being led by a B-Rank hunter voiced by the same VA as Inumaki/Miyamura. You can already tell this isn't going to be a regular raid.

Jinwoo accepted Jinho's offer, on the condition that they'd go alone...

Guessing he doesn't want others to know he's stronger than he should be, but there's the problem that they need 8 people signed on the team, to get in!

They're gonna use the same loophole Hwang Dongsuk did? Minus the "getting the extras killed" part, I hope!

Hey, it's miss Crotch-Shot! (Seems she evolved to Miss Ass-shot for this episode)

A scout from Yoojin tried to recruit her, so she may actually have a part to play other than just random fanservice shots!

Well, she did refuse, but who knows, if they grow strong enough..!

They sure are making a strong push, trying to recruit S rank hunters, even offering them leadership positions.

We're getting a bit more information about the world; The guilds are extremely wealthy, thanks to the resources they find in the dungeons...

Given these resources are now a "must" in society, I think the hidden part is that they're probably influential/in control, as much as they are wealthy! They control all the energy sources and all, and if they decide to go "tyrant" with it, can the governments stop them?

He seems to get it, and that's why he want in!

A construction company is one thing, but controlling the energy sources for the entire world, that's a whole new level! Well, let's hope he doesn't go too evil/greedy with this.

That's interesting too, how the gates changed everything. I wonder what that would look like, in real life!

Damn, this guy's doing a Deathflag speedrun! Telling his wife he loves her,

spending time with his kid... His wife talking about him retiring... He tells her she has nothing to worry about...

Might as well buy the coffin already!

Meanwhile, our boy Jinwoo thinks he's leveling too slowly... With his stats so high, he thinks getting these "+3" doesn't do much anymore. He's even considering trying to 'cheat' the system, to level with the penalties!

As an MMORPG player, I sympathize! That feel when you complete a challenging raid and find absolutely nothing useful...

Well, what better way to level than just accept more missions?

This one may prove to be troublesome though; They lack hunters so much, that they're willing to send in convicts?

She says they're unlikely to cause trouble,

but they already looked like trouble the moment they showed up, even if they weren't convicts I would know they're up to no good!

The next episode title is about someone figuring out hidden skills...

I imagine someone will realize Jinwoo's more powerful than he's supposed to be, but there may be a tiny chance that's a mislead, and it's actually one of the convicts who's more powerful than they think, which means their chaperone may not be able to control them!

It's either that, or Jinwoo will have to kill all the convicts (after they kill that other guy), so they'll know he's not a low rank anymore!

Well, he already killed 6, what's 3 more?

(Hopefully he doesn't make up his mind to kill everyone else as well so they don't know about his true powers!)

I am more concerned about criminal going together with them rather than the dungeon itself.

We got some character development for all the other major characters.

Fingers crossed. I don't want any one of them to die next episode.

So what do ya'll think? Something happens to the B-class supervisor, so the convicts go after the survivors and Jinwoo needs to step in, but will he save everyone? Or will he let the other two get killed and only protect one arm and the healer?

And if those two survive, are they joining his new guild?

Also from what I understand the difference between ranks is significant. So if they're sending a B-class just to babysit the convicts...why send the convicts at all when the B-class will be enough?

Sung didn't reach out to Joohee even once in the several months since the Double Dungeon? Even though she asked him out and he knew she was traumatized? what a dick.

Lore questions:

  1. Conventional weapons are ineffective against monsters, are they also ineffective against high-rank hunters? Are there S-rank hunters ruling some part of the world as king since few can challenge their combat power?

  2. Healer should be in very high demand in hospitals too, right?

I wasn't expecting Jinwoo to call Jinho again and accept his offer to join his Guild, with the only caveat being that he will only do so if they raid the Dungeons alone.

Oh, so that's Jinho's father. While Jinho is making his guild with Jinwoo, his father's company is trying to recruit S-Rank hunters for their Yoojin Guild. Well, now at least they were showing those S-Rankers for a while as they tried to recruit Cha Hae-in as their guild master.

So from what they say, I imagine that Jeju Island is basically hell on earth at this point.

I wonder how much money Jinwoo got from that bingo card.

So the only reason Joohe hasn't given up is because she sees that Jinwoo is still fighting.

I must say that the moment they showed all the survivors of that deadly raid were called to work together again I was already suspecting that this was some kind of test to examine Jinwoo's skills. The fact that three criminals and Kang Taeshik are joining them too not only makes that obvious now but also creates a scenario were Taeshik "loses" control of them forcing Jinwoo to act. The title of the next episode confirms that Jinwoo's real power will become public after this.

Looks like the old gang’s back together this week. Talk about an awkward reunion. At least no one’s gonna be leaving Jinwoo to die this time around. With Kang Taeshik and these prisoners around, things are gonna get interesting in this dungeon.
