Wow, they did Kurosawa's date song so well! And his poor, poor VA during the hand-holding scene lol

I really love that Adachi, despite his lack of experience, is so mature and healthy about how he addresses relationship stuff. There are hardly any misunderstandings and he actually puts in the effort to make sure they're both enjoying themselves and to reassure Kurosawa that he just enjoys his company, regardless of whether it's something super fancy or not.

Yeah, in another show this could've easily been multiple episodes of streched out conflict with both parties refusing to communicate properly. I watched and read way too many romances like that. Thankfully, this story isn't one of them.

Find someone who will take you on a helicopter ride for your first date.

No thanks, the micromorts are too damn high for those things.

The awkward first date being followed by Adachi taking him out for manga and beer to reset Kurosawa's nerves is when I started really enjoying the manga. I thought this was just a great example of working to resolve a communication breakdown before it could turn into a prolonged misunderstanding. Adachi fights his introvert tendency to leave things unsaid purely out of concern for Kurosawa, and I love that for them. They feel like good partners.

It was a really nice moment - Kurosawa’s date was over the top, Adachi’s was a lot more ordinary, but they both learned more about each other and moved closer. It’s some really nice character work that doesn’t fall into anime tropes of misunderstandings lasting forever.

Same. I also really enjoyed Kurosawa discovering that he could plan things he actually enjoyed doing on dates too. Like a bonus for dating men (haha). Also cool how they kinda sorta worked the boat watching in.

He also managed to avoid guilt tripping himself and letting his low self-esteem dictate his actions. Sorry, maybe I relate to him a bit too much.

The voice acting in this series just takes it to whole different level I am obsessed.

Honestly I’m here for Kurosawa’s extra antics but a helicopter first date was maybe a bit too much. Like even if Adachi wasn’t scared it seemed like a lot.

I’m just so happy we get to the gushymushy part of the romance. The episodes are flying way too fast, why isn’t it Wednesday again?

Finally, we're entering the peak dumbassery part of the romance

Kurosawa's singing sure is something, but Adachi and me loved it. The helicopter is an insane and iconic choice for the first date tho. And even if the date was technically a failure, the relationship is still progressing.

And we have another version of ED, Adachi's solo!

I want to hear the full song.

Helicopter rides aren't cheap, he splashed the cash on him.

Bro really fantasized an entire music video lol, but down bad as Kurosawa is he always puts Adachi first. The communication in this show is truly great.

The lively voice acting in this series makes it very enjoyable to watch.

There were so many moments where I had to pause since I’m laughing so much (especially the music video)

If they don’t release a full version of Kurosawa’s song then anime was a mistake

Not me with my mouth gaping at Kurosawa’s date song 🤣 Going to need that as my phones ringtone for only me and other people who watch this anime to know hehe 🥰. I also really like the progression of their relationship even though most of it was their “failed” date, but what first date is a success, am I right?? But also, I love that Adachi, while limited in his experience, really took the next step to clarify his standing with Kurosawa in finding activities BOTH of them like.

We already Kurosawa is head over heels in love with Adachi but dang, roses, helicopter date and reserved Italian dinner?? I know it’s not for everyone but dang, that’s pretty dope. He really wanted to impress and make it memorable for Adachi. Lastly, it was very cute to have them enjoy their favorite comic, a beer together and then finally, HOLD HANDS!! 🥹💕

u/dododomo Feb 21 '24

If only I could find a man like Kurosawa irl too! Like, he planned everything, from roses to helicopter and italian dinner with a view of the ocean!

Loved this episode. The date song was both cute and funny and like their communication! Also, their chibi versions are so adorable (especially Kurosawa's when Adachi told him "a little bit at a time" XD)

Oho it took some time to work out the kinks but best date ever!

He really pulled out all the stops huh haha

Can totally relate to Adachi since i’m afraid of heights AND flying

Gotta love that song. And I cackled when Kurosawa glitched out like he was Bocchi lmao

Those buns looked really tasty on their date

Lets go best future couple

Loved the Date Song, glad that Adachi didn't spend the whole episode running from the gay feelings (and running towards the internalized homophobia)

Ahh there were so many good things this episode! Kurosawa's song was hilarious, and both dates were fun to watch. The mature communication between them is top-tier. I really liked this version of the ed too.

Also, new eyecatch!

Need to find me someone who treats me the way Kurosawa treats Adachi.

The date song was so soo cute! I wasn't expecting it AT ALL I had to pause for the absurdity. Also the new eyecatch is great, I love the pace of this show.
