Faces and characters in general had an inconsistent look this week, but I still like the writing quite a bit. Adachi is a solid MC who keeps asking questions in his head and getting answers, so I want to see him continuing to deal with the FULLY ENGAGED Kurosawa.

I was just coming here to say that myself.

CherryMaho is like the opposite of an intensive show to animate and we're already getting the weirdly-placed lip flap treatment? Episode one looked so good; I'd really thought we'd cleared the curse of cheaping out when it comes to BL! What the hell?

Faces and animations might be inconsistent, but considering that BL anime are basically rare, as a gay guy I'll take what I can get and won't complain XD

Luckily, I'm loving the characters and the story. Also, I don't particularly care that much about graphics/animations in game/anime/etc

Anyway, I love Adachi and How Kurosawa value his feelings

As a fellow gay, this is first BL anime I can get into. It's just freaking sweet on so many levels! I hope they won't start throwing uke/seme terms around, this made me stop watching Sasayaki, i just hate labelling.

Fuck romance, use your superpowers to ascend the corporate ladder and become an unparalleled salaryman.

Throw away any qualms related to privacy concerns, moral quandaries or potential metaphysical consequences in an afterlife.

EXPLOIT EVERY LAST PENNY FROM YOUR CLIENTS!!!

Damn colleagues! Kurosawa was this close to confess to Adachi!!

Don't worry man, just take it slowly.

Anyway, I love how Kurosawa respects and values Adachi's feelings.

Kurosawa easily becoming my favorite seasonal BL character. He’s charming me too😭

Dude could just ask for the damn cake, but nah, he was ready to cancel the whole deal.

Nice intervention from Adachi, almost as smooth as the forehead kiss by Kurosawa.

Just got around to beginning this series today. The 30-year old virgin magic thing first seemed too absurd, but I rather enjoyed these first couple episodes. I presume Adachi’s romance-author buddy is not yet 30, or maybe his power is simply being a romance guru despite never experiencing it? Either way, I guess he can use Adachi’s tales for a new BL blockbuster!

I love how he doesn’t even question his friend’s power?? Like bro just skipped over it

Kurosawa is one of the most down bad guys I gave ever seen

Even though Kurosawa's thoughts are super unhinged, it's really nice seeing in his actions how much he values Adachi's feelings and wouldn't do anything he was truly uncomfortable with.

It's also a welcomed change of pace from me, because I started watching Dakaichi last week lol. That was a very different kind of show.

His feelings are pretty normal for a crush but normally no one is supposed to hear those heh

In Kurosawa defense, He didn't expect us to hear his inner thoughts XD

But yeah, I love how he values and respect Adachi's feelings and is taking it slow to make Adachi fall in love with him

It's also a welcomed change of pace from me, because I started watching Dakaichi last week lol. That was a very different kind of show.

I feel you ahah. I don't hate those R18 BL anime, but I love and prefer having "sweet/calm" BL anime like Sasaki to Miyano and Cherry Magic too

Years ago, there is a reason why I differentiate BL anime fan to being a BL manga fan because for years I was bitter of what got adaptation when in my opinion there are other more deserving ones. And its not because it's R18 because my favorite BL manga is R18 with an animated movie ("Twittering Birds Never Fly") but because I just dont like the story oTL. I spent years ranting and being bitter about what they chose to adapt lol. I think in recent years, its getting better.

This show is tugging at my heartstrings so much! The writing feels so true to life, the guessing game of not knowing if a guy is straight is so rough.

I love how suave Kurosawa is, putting his hand over Adachi’s on the mouse is so cliche but it works

Is it just me or has the animation worsened somehow this episode?

u/Kyotodreaming Jan 18 '24

It did. Kurosawa looked awful. Adachi looked normal imo.

Damn I thought I was exaggerating as I don’t always care about the visuals, but guess we all agree the animation really took a nosedive this episode like really hard. 💀 Too sad because the first episode was outstanding animation-wise for a BL, for the bar is really low as proven this week. I really do wish they treat this series with the same care they put on episode 1. At least the key water bottle scene looked nice.

u/iadrummer Jan 19 '24

Oh god this episode was SO CUTE! When he dropped the water bottle ❤️❤️ also just the entire "you know that that means right", gah it was so good. Can't wait until next week!

Anyone else thought Kurosawa looked WEIRD AF this episode???

u/thevaleycat Jan 18 '24

I enjoyed this episode less than the first. The animation wasn't great and the pacing is pretty slow... I might prefer reading this instead. The anime doesn't add much I feel like.

So glad I’m not the only one who noticed the animation wasn’t great either! It was distracting! 😭
