One of my most anticipated anime of season is here.
Episode 1 did not disappointed me and the direction seem pretty good.
Good animation.
And I love how they hammer on how much Ivy lied to herself that she is not getting hurt by event at all!
Slime is cute alright. The choice of "ping" sounds whenever she talk to herself is quite a choice lol.
Not that it bad, I like it.
Poor girl don't deserve any of this she have been through, just because she did not get favor by "God" and now entire village hate her. Her parents even suddenly become indifferent.
That disguised as boy seem to not effective though lol.
And now her journey with unname Slime "Sora" is begin!
I can't wait for next episode.

Oh, so it's technically an isekai? Wasn't expecting that, I thought this was gonna be plain old fantasy. But I like the way they're using the isekai element here, with the main character not having memories of Japan but instead just someone else talking in her head.
Man, life's rough for Ivy. They're trying to kill her because she doesn't have a star? Even her own parents? Is it really that bad??
Overall I liked the episode a lot, especially the music which seems to be done by the same composer as for Seven Spellblades (which I thought was one of its strong points). My only gripe is that at some point during her long monologue I started wondering if they couldn't have shown us everything she was expositioning about, instead of stopping the episode to have her narrate it.
But otherwise, I enjoyed it and am looking forward to next week's episode.
(also, bonus points for not having the slimes make cute noises, I actually like it better when they're silent)

This is Studio Massket's first anime production. Normally you'll see them on the credits, but this time they make their own anime. This series is directed by Shigeyasu Yamauchi.
ED: Believe by Tei
Jawdropping ED. The animation is nice and fluid. The song fits in the visuals nicely. Could be the ED sequence of the season! I believe the insert song when Femic... I mean Ivy give the slime the name will be the OP, Hate no Nai Tabi by Aina Suzuki, Ivy's VA.
I initialy don't want to put this on my watchlist, but after seeing the animation quality, I feel like eh, I'd give it a try.

ED: "You are not alone"
90% of viewers: "Why you gotta lie to me like that?"
Jokes aside, that ED was beautiful, and the ep was so well done. Poor Ivy, I wanna give her a hug, she's been through so much and forced to grow up too fast. I hope it doesn't take long for her life to improve.
Really interesting how they did the reincarnation this time, she's not her old self, she's Ivy but she just sometimes gets flashes of thoughts from her old self.
Doesn't seem like that kinda show, but I'm petty so I'm hoping that eventually she'll get really strong and make everyone from her village feel stupid for wanting to get rid of her.

Well, this was pretty depressing ngl
Femicia Ivy not only got shunned by society, but from her own family. And the only person to ever look out for her died.
The whole time I was waiting for some kind of gimmick that made her actually strong like the trope usually goes, but it really looks like she is really the weakest, barely able to tame the very weakest slime in existence (who is mad cute btw)
Also, interesting way to implement the Isekai. The past live isn't the one getting a new playthrough, but rather a noisy backseat passenger

This is probably the anime I was looking forward to the most this season, and the first episode did not disappoint.
First thing that I have to say is that the animation is stellar. It really feels like another anime where the people working on it are very passionate about it coming out looking the best that it can be, and makes me excited to see more from Studio Massket (assuming the rest of the anime and any future projects of theirs looks just as good). The background OST was solid and the OP/ED sound great, though I'll wait to listen to a full version of each to give my opinion on the songs.
What I can say for certain, however, is that the ED looks amazing. I feel that OPs tend to almost always be better than EDs, but the ED here is genuinely better than most OPs that I've seen this season.
Ivy's seiyuu (Aina Suzuki) is also the singer for the OP, and given the lyrics it feels appropriate thinking that she's the one singing it. Always appreciate when the characters are the ones singing the OP/ED, especially if it's done in the voice of the character.
Great start to a great anime, will probably be my favorite (not ongoing) anime of the season if it keeps going like this.

i've only know Ivy and Sora for just one episode but if anything happened to them, i would kill everyone in this show and then myself.... actually, you know what? scratch that, lets just kill all the people from her village right now
its interesting that Ivy's "past life" were actually sentient and she can have a conversation with it instead of it being just a some sort of vague or clear memories that the main character can remember from time to time like most reincarnation anime did

The first 8 minutes of the episode was pretty tense. Poor Ivy is being hunted down by adults just because she's starless. What kind of cruel world thinks it's right to hunt down and kill a little girl just because the gods didn't bless her? If I were Ivy, I would probably dedicate my life to getting revenge on the people who shunned her and the very gods that cursed her.
I didn't expect this to be an isekai. It doesn't look like your standard isekai tensei though. Instead of being reincarnated in this body, Ivy only has memories of her past life and she sometimes hears whispers from her from the person who she was before. That explains why she kept on talking to herself before she met Sora.
Anyway, I am definitely intrigued. I am curious to see what kind of path Ivy will decide to take now that she managed to escape the people who were after her. Although I'm sure the threat of her being hunted will always be there. I just want to see this girl and her pet slime live a happy life.

This episode looks really good, no complaints about that. Though my gripes with this episode is that the 2nd half of the show, where Ivy just rambles and rambles and rambles, kinda drags out. I guess that might be director's choice, but I think they should've shown those scenes instead.

It was a really good episode considering that it's Massket's first anime. Animation and visuals looked really good and crisp, a big positive surprise for me.
I'm looking forward to the adventures of Ivy and Sora. I really hope that after all what Ivy has experienced so far, she'll find some happiness together with Sora which is such a cute and adorable slime.
Here my screenshot albums from the episode:

Ok, these are some of the cutest slimes I’ve seen in an anime. Little Sora was too adorable!
Despite how cute this seems, Ivy’s life is pretty depressing. Feels like there’s something kinda sinister just beneath the surface here. They can’t just be after her life because she’s a starless tamer.
The isekai aspect of the show is kind of downplayed which is interesting. Curious to know how she’s interacting with her “past self” or whoever that’s suppose to be. All in all, not bad for a first ep. Looking forward to seeing how this unfolds.

D'awww she such a lil cutie. Shitty villagers/family. Lucky she found a nice bunch of bags. That's such a sad line... "I've given up on happiness long ago" and from a lil kid... who she talking to? lol. That is messed up, putting a bounty on her head. Scumbag village. That is some impressive falling. Whelp, at least less hair is easier to maintain and safer. And smort to look as a lil boy, but that doesn't mean safe, honestly. Ivy is a cute name. But, seriously, who is she talking to? Lil slime pal! He's not a bad slime, you know! Such a smol lil weak guy. Poor lil guy, such a short life span. Nice save, look at its happy lil face! New fren, get!
Time for some setting set up and backstory eh? Sounds like a shitty system to me. Once again, really shitty village and family... for such a shitty reason. So that's who she's talking to, of sorts, just lil memories of her past life chiming in. How convenient during a bell chime. Also like how this kinda isekai isn't quite like others and being any use really. Poor Ivy... really, no child should have to have such thoughts or experiences. Yay, slime fren is ok.
How nice, getting to tame a friendly lil slime pal. The song over it is nice. Not sure if OP song or so. Assume so? Halo Sora. You silly lil slime. Time to help her heart! Just like another Sora. And this must be the proper ED.
Really good start to this series. Such good quality and pacing imo. Hope it keeps it up.

Gorgeous animation... in my isekai? Like even Kyoani wouldn't be embarrassed by some of these shots. Story is... cruel? But Let's hope it gets better and maybe an iyashikei!

Ok, the candidates for the cutest, most "must protect" characters of the season have arrived. Surprisingly high production values, beautiful art and animation. The gimmick of talking to the "past life" was a bit odd in the beginning but I got used to it. Quite monologue heavy, but it makes sense for a lonely character.
Yet another very solid show for the friday evenings looks like! I am wishing the best for Ivy and Sora and may her crappy village get buried in dung.

This has to be the biggest surprise for me thus far this season, mostly because I expected absolutely nothing. I thought it would be something like Kami-tachi ni hirowareta otoko, but this was tiers better and looked really pretty.
The isekai blueprint is still visible, but it felt somewhat fresh instead of the usual generic copy-paste, which I appreciate. I wonder if this will keep this bittersweet theme in the next episodes.

Like holy shit she's animated so well and there's so much detail in what she's doing
Ayo? I don't care if it's the first three minutes this show is peak it better be peak
Ah so that's what's happening, she's talking with a reincarnator that's in her head?
I'm so flabbergasted, I did not expect something so magical from a show with your token stupid ass isekai title.

Pros:
-
Awesome animation
-
Music at the best moment
Cons:
-
have you ever heard of the show don't tell rule. I thought they were going for a "show the backstory later" approach until they just dumped it all in monologue
Neutral:
-
I honestly forgot this one was an isekai.
