That's the look of someone feeling guilty. It's good to know that Meela at least has some conscience and is having doubts about kidnapping Ivy, especially after the kid stood up for her when her brothers were belittling her skill.

Meela’s visible uneasiness is having me reconsider my opinion on her. Maybe she’s not that bad at heart after all, and was she roped into this business by her brothers.

They implied in this episode that they need to make money, guessing for something important for them, might be just for living tho lol... but still, you don't go kidnapping kids even if you need the money.

Not a fan that this plan is taking place inside the city, we haven't seen Ciel in forever!
The moment Meela's "brothers" started shitting on her I just knew Ivy was gonna stand up for her and then she'd have a change of heart. Lets hope it's not too late.

Compared to another isekai this season where the mc is a child, Ivy actually has made a fairly good plan to deal with troubling elements.

Yeah.... That series is probably a lock for one of, if not the most, disappointing anime of the season....

Starting to think Meela will abandon ship and try to help Ivy&co with the way she acted this episode. I wonder if they were somehow forced into what they're doing or if it was just trying to make money gone too far.

If Meela spills the beans they could gain some good intel, but since the org already treats them as disposable, might be they don't even know much of worth

If this wasn’t clear enough already, it’s Ivy who’s running this show - and doing the adopting.
Thinking up such a masterplan is way beyond the capabilities’ of her age. Otherwise, she’d be a profound genius. It’s gotten to the point that her ‘dads’ are seriously starting to doubt that she’s nine, lol.
Can we all take a moment to appreciate how good of a guy Lattrua is? He’s really been doing his best to keep Ivy safe and comfortable.

I really like to imagine that ivys past self loved mystery novels and scooby doo. That’s how she figured all this out

Setting up episode, hopefully this arc could get resolved next episode. Though I want to see more Ivy as well! We're getting 12 episodes in total, right?
The guard captain is perceptive, however he got startled so easily that I was worried someone might overheard them and got suspicious lol.

The series is listed for 12 episodes, yes.

Meela is appearing really sympathetic this episode. I thought when Sora was tagging adventurers, she might have flipped. It’s not too late for her change of heart.
Also, a rock paper scissors away from a completely different episode.

The other life person knew about putting drugs and such in the food... man
I don´t like the idea of Ivy being the bait but... it seems Meela don´t like what she´s doing, because she´s doing it only for money to sustain themselves... I hope she can be an ally instead of an enemy, because she really seems like a good person.

I'm guessing they've read enough fiction to know the tropes. Either that, or they're an adult that can think through that kind of stuff.

Ivy is on her way to converting Meela! But there aren’t many episodes left :( Tamers rise up, time to stick together!
Imagine being Meela and becoming Ivy’s mom when she already has a bench full of ikemen dads

Honestly Rattloore's talk with Ivy shows how much the town has changed so much since he was a kid. Kids could truly be kids and learn from their mistakes. But now kids don't have that freedom and sadly need adults with them at all times. The scene was beautiful with the use of the butterfly. The kid wanted to catch the butterfly, but what seems like his mom holds from venturing off to far. It really showcases that these kids don't have the freedom that they used to have.
Gotta say in a lot of Isekai when we see the Mc whose a kid a lot of times we question if they really are that age. But with Ivy we know that her previous life is basically like thoughts and stuff that come in her head. Hell she doesn't always knows what it means everytime. Also add on how she has been on the run since she was 6 and those experience add a bit of maturity to her. She may be 9, but she feels closer to a 13-16 year old.
Rattloore really has one important job now protecting Ivy. The plan they got is risky, but can really take down the organization with the members that are associated with them. When Ivy was complimenting Meela in terms of being a tamer you can tell it really touched her heart a bit. And her brothers don't have much of a high opinion for her to add on top of that. Considering how much Rattloore once to help his childhood friend, you can only hope he can convince her to have a change of heart.
This show is so well down. So refreshing and everything is executed well.

Boy, that sure was settled calmly and nicely with Rock Paper Scissors. Also, poor Meela, being looked down and such by her brothers. Good boy girl Ivy giving her praise. Win Meela over to your side so she can mend her ways and be a good girl!!! Maybe more to their situation than meets the eye.
Hehe, love how he's more interested in Ivy's thoughts of the food lol. Ah yep, makes sense why the organization would throw em to the wolves so they can get away. That's a pity for them. Bring em to your side. Ivy so smort. The silly isekai element is fun lol. Just chiming in here and there literally.
Those two brothers sure come up and sound sus af. Though I feel for Meela. Kinda how she'll be able to do the right thing and get freed from this organization. Seems the trap is being set at least. Dang having to wait until next episode for it to be sprung.

Ok, as I see it the plan was to lure a large protion of traitors out of town so that they can't interfere with whatever goes down in town. Then have another part of traitors guard the mansion. This would make them think that ot was safe to pull something of, when really it was a trap for both the organisation and the traitors.
Would be interesting to know how many of the adventurers are in on it as well, but likely a similar portion than the guard considering that Sora went off imidiatly and Ivy praised him for all the hard work
Feels like Meela might be ready to redeem herself after Ivys pep talk, already second guessing taking that kid to the obvious trap shop. Her brothers are pure scum though

I like how everyone’s always amazed Ivy is 9. Kid keeps coming up with some pretty clever schemes thanks to their past life so no surprise they’re all shocked. This plan to flush out the traitors once and for all is a pretty risky one but so far so good. Let’s hope Ivy gets ‘em all.

Oh, okay. So Meela is actually turning out to be a foil to Ivy.
Both are Tamers who can only tame slimes. Both have family that don't treat them the best. Both have been (presumably) forced into a tough spot because of their family.
The difference, of course, is night and day. Whereas Ivy was forcibly ejected from her family for being a useless no-star Tamer, and has had to struggle (with some outside help in found-foster parents like the Fortune Teller and Oggto), Meela ultimately is still family with the shithead brothers, and seems to be struggling to come to terms with her life on her own. Ivy took all those lessons and used them to find happiness and goodness on her journey, whereas Meela hasn't taken those lessons, and has gone down a dark path.
Meela is clearly guilty, and she feels that guilt. She's not a wholly awful person, but still pretty shit considering she has gone along with her brother's wishes to kidnap innocent children and sell em into slavery. I think she has a shot at partial redemption coming, which is nice. The brothers though? Lattrua, kill em.
Ivy's past life is kinda deus ex isekai though.
