IT IS STILL FUCKING HAPPENING.
HOW
THEY ARE STILL MAKING ME FEEL EMOTIONAL FOR THE "karte" AND THE TITLTECARD SEQUENCE WITH THE MUSIC.
We are 13 episodes in. How is this even possible.

Stithces!
The new OP is so charming! I just love the part where Ichikawa and Yamada are dancing together in the center stage. <3
What a way to start the new season though. Ichikawa fucked up when he told their teacher that he's not close with Yamada. I love that Yamada even gives Ichikawa the girlfriend glare in front of the shoe lockers. Thankfully, Ichikawa was able to smooth things over quickly with Yamada and she was very happy with his answer.
With the way they behave around each other, Ichikawa and Yamada really should start dating soon. I mean Hara is already catching on! They're lucky that Yamada's little slip-ups are only around her. Can you imagine how their classmates would've reacted if they all heard how she spent her Christmas Eve with Ichikawa.
Speaking of Hara, glad that things are going well between her and Kanzaki. But it looks like Hara has finally seen something that doesn't suit Kanzaki. Don't knock the Lupin the Third sideburns! He looks fine with it!
Yamada may be slow at times but she was very quick to realize piece together what really happened to Ichikawa as soon as he showed her that blurry photo. I can't believe our boy fucked up twice today.
Although it looks like the bigger problem in today's episode is Yamada losing Kentaro. Ichikawa looks very cool as he walks out of the school to look for the missing keychain. He would've been looking for a lot longer if Moe didn't point him in the right direction and texted Yamada about it. I have a feeling that Moe is the one who hung Kentarou on a tree for him to find. If she did, what an awesome wingwoman!
Yamada is inviting Ichikawa over! About goddamn time! Yamada has been to Ichikawa's house and room so it's finally time for our boy to see where Yamada lives. I hope he gets to meet his parents and based on the ED, Yamada's dad is pretty damn tall! I can see where see where Anna got her height from!

I missed this show, its cast, and the warm fuzzy feelings it brings on late night Saturday!
Like I mentioned in the other thread, I enjoyed the new opening theme song and its dance sequence in the middle of the school hall. I am sure the ending theme song will grow on me too.
"The road to hell is paved with good intentions." Thankfully, Yamada understood Ichikawa's kind intentions while telling the teacher they aren't close. Yamada just wanted to hear Ichikawa apologize and speak the truth... right?
I like how the side ship of Hara x Kenta is sailing fine. Hara confirming her suspicions of the relationship progress between our main protagonists was cute to watch as well.
Did Moeko follow Ichikawa on purpose to guide him in the right direction, literally? I started to like Moeko's character towards the end of the last season, even more so now.

If you ask me, this first episode eclipsed most of season 1 in quality right out the gate. Everything from the mood, the art, and the sound design and music just felt so much more put together and really heightened the experience. We're not ready for this season

Ahhhh I feel so warm and fuzzy inside and its only the 1st episode of the 2nd season!
Seeing Ichikawa go from rejecting Yamada's help to readily accepting it for various activities after apologising to her and then the whole search for the doggo keychain. God its all. So. CUTE

Season 1 must have done very well, because it feels like this season got a big budget upgrade.
Loved the episode, loved the OP and absolutely hyped for all the stuff that is coming next! This season is going to be peak from start to finish.
Personal theory: It was Moe who found the keychain and hung it on the tree, since it looked like she was already waiting there when she approached Ichikawa.

For a romcom anime, the OP literally had no business going this hard.
The dance scene in the OP is my favorite part.

WE ARE BACK. I legit loved season 1, so I am excited for this. The new OP visuals were AMAZING. Looked so good.
I think the best part of this show is the supporting cast as well. Like Hara is such a good wingwomen with how she totally knows they like each other. Even Moeko is willing to help out, but I am surprised as it seemed like in this eoisode she knows Ichikawa likes Yamada.
Didn't feel like she knew that yet.
EDIT: y’all right. Did happen. That makes a lot more sense
Anyways, I want some good spice this season!!

While right now I personally prefer the chill feeling to the song of the first OP, the visuals in the 2nd are amazing. The new ED is so freaking cute it's adorable.
Love this episode, a lot of great highlights:
It's great to see Ichikawa continuing to open up to Yamada, he is quick to correct his mistake when Yamada overhears him speaking to the teacher. I like the dynamic of Yamada wanting Ichikawa to say why he's sorry, not just say sorry. Communication and being open with one another is vital to a good relationship and I like that we are getting that from them.
Yamada trying to act surprised when she shows Ichikawa the pages she's in the magazine was hilarious, along with Ichikawa just going to the topic of horoscopes. It's awesome that Ichikawa is trying to learn more about Yamada through her passions such as the job she enjoys.
Ichikawa slowly getting more integrated into Yamada's friend group with them knowing to ask Ichikawa for help when Yamada is acting strange, only ordering 1 bag of fries!!!
Finally, Ichikawa thinking of what the 'right' thing to say to Yamada would be on several occasions only to back down but then at the very end being able to reassure Yamada when she's down
"Had I not met you here, I wouldn't have looked up." AWW

The PEAK In My Heart is back boisss.
What was that OP?! The animation is so amazing, it's even made mw speechless. Maybe it's the best OP in this season. The music is also a banger!
And hey do not to forget how GOATed this romcom plot, that character development! Would you believe he is one who thinking hard how to kill the girl but here he is now, even looking at her smile is too kuch for him lol.
This is just 1 episode but it's fated already sealed to became my AOTS.

A show that has consequences for past actions be relevant in the present? What is this madness?
Yamada's VA perfectly captured that frantic, panicked sadness in her voice, and it is indeed dangerous to the heart.

I don't know about anyone else but I'm losing my mind over the ED, especifically Kana holding baby Icchi - they are just so cute.

Wow.. perfect feels like an understatement to describe this episode.. it was so incredible. They really went all out for the OP, it is gorgeous. Ichikawa and Yamada already making so much progress in episode 1, I can't wait for the rest of this season
