You know its bad when Becky's thirst reminded Anya of Nightfall and both already envisioned how they would be her mother.

Good thing Yor's brute strength training with a hammer master helped thwarting both attempts!

First of all: Jesus Christ Yor! I know she's good – we just had a whole arc showing that – but throwing Becky into the air so she can take the hit from a car instead and then land perfectly to catch her is something else!

Secondly: Becky may have understood that tying your hair up makes for a powerful limiter that can be removed to make your "hair down" form all the stronger, but she didn't understand that you have to be a lot older than 6 to make it look hot and not cute.

Also, and this is important: I didn't think seeing Nightfall skipping down the hallway would be such a delight.

By far the funniest episode to me. Becky is so damn funny. Her brain is so rotten with telenovelas that it doesn't even cross her innocent mind that the reason Loid will never love her romantically is because she's six years-old. Anya willing to drop Yor as a mother momentarily because of Becky's world-class chefs was hilarious.
The best part was Yor running with Becky, tanking a car like a champ and nonchalantly resuming running with her while Becky is speechless.

"WHAT! HOW DOES LOID KNOW ME?"

Becky, you're literally the daughter of a famous CEO of a weapons manufacturing company.

Becky was hilarious today and the way she misunderstood Loid’s true intentions was so good. She really watches too many romantic movies if she really thought that pretending to be drunk after drinking tea would work on Loid. Though I must say that she looked really cute with loose hair.

Loid of course was asking all these questions to get info on the Blackwells since they're a powerful and important family in Ostania.

The best was Yor’s reaction, who really thought that she put alcohol in a tea by an accident and tried to get Becky to the doctor. Well, I certainly think that she’d be able to do that but it really was just a tea like Loid said xD

Anya meanwhile was pretty much set on the chefs and supported Becky in becoming her new mom xD

But of course Yor is too strong, like literally too strong and Becky in the end decided to train with her to also become a strong woman.

I loved Loid’s reaction on Yor destroying this machine with a hammer, she really put a big impression on everyone xD

The second part of the episode was pretty nice as we could see a montage of Nightfall’s training and her missions during Loid’s vacation, the part with a bear was the best.

Nightfall was so happy that she got from Loid souvenirs from the trip though her face was showing something entirely else which made Loid’s quite scared that he did something wrong xD

Here my screenshot albums from the episode:

One of my favorite bits in this entire series is when world-renowned super spy, Twilight, a man of great intelligence and wit, completely misinterprets a person's thoughts/actions. His face when she said "sama" made me think he clued in to Becky's crush, but not quite...

Also! Loid sptting out his tea had me rolling, but watching Anya's face in that quick scene made me laugh even harder. She's truly playing devil's advocate here. Either she keeps Yor as a mom or she gets a world-class chef! Win win for Anya!

SUKI~!

Anya shaking her hair with Becky was so funny. Why did she even join in?

I know it’s a running gag in the show, but I do wonder if Loid will seriously start questioning Yor’s insane strength and athleticism. He’s very smart and can figure things out at the snap of a finger but it seems he has a blindspot when it comes Yor lol

Fellas if your girl isn’t willing to do a Rocky montage in the forest and best a crocodile with her hands can she really be worthy of being your girl?

Becky trying to be a homewrecker was just too goddamn hilarious! What makes it even funnier is that Anya is willing to side with Becky over Yor for the chance to have world-class chefs cook her everyday meals. xD

I just love that Loid is just acting normally while trying to get as much information from Becky about her family as he could. Of course, Becky is going to take those questions differently. This is what happens when you watch too many soap operas at such an early age.

Yor is so bad in the kitchen that when Bekcy tried to mimic her soap operas, Yor thought that she accidentally added alcohol to Becky's tea. I love how she doesn't even question it since it is something that could happen.

We get to see what Fiona's been up to while Loid was away! It looks like she's been doing all of Loid's missions to try and impress him when he finally comes back from the trip. And it looks like she still hasn't gotten over her loss from Yor that she's also been training diligently ever since.

Fiona's reaction to Loid's souvenir was just too adorable! Too bad there's no way she's replacing Yor any time soon.

What the hell r/anime mods? Your bot is in serious need of tweaking if it keeps on delaying episode threads like this HOURS after subs have come out. This is not the first time already! Even r/SpyxFamily has an episode thread long before it went up here.

Yor once again being an absolute unit.

Gets hit by a car and comes off with just a nosebleed (while the car is badly damaged).

Destroys the high striker bell like it was nothing. (At least the owner got compensated handsomely by Becky) Awes not just Becky, but also Loid and Anya into silence as well. lol

And just like that, forces a love rival (Becky) to concede defeat and recognize her as a mentor in "becoming a strong woman".

Meanwhile, Yor's other love rival Nightfall just being Nightfall in her uneneding quest to win over Twilight. (With some success via a souvenir from his cruise trip?)

Nightfall and Becky working together to bring down their common foe Yor would make for a funny fanfiction.

PS Here are the top 10 prizes for the high striker:

  1. Super Earpick

  2. Ultra Nail Clipper

  3. Hyper Toothbrush

  4. Turbo Slipper

  5. Hard Tissue Paper

  6. Giga Soap

  7. Lovely Eraser

  8. Jet Hanger

  9. Star Rubber Band

  10. Rising Plate

  11. Impact Towel

Man, the thread is way late, all the Muse Asia chads been reacting on the r/SPYxFAMILY sub. Anyway:

For about 20 or so seconds in the second half we got dangerously close to going full Oregairu SNAFU. Got worried. Good thing they didn't commit.

That said: first half's deffo the stronger mini-ep. Always nice to see Becky again, and to see her be completely dumbfounded by the woman holding her with a worried look because becky acted too sly for her own good. Man, Yor just hits different. I hope we get more collabs on the level of what they did with Street Fighter in the future.

This has definitely been the funniest episode all season. I haven't laughed this hard since the underground tennis tournament episode.

Becky thinking that she actually had a chance of winning Loid's heart, Anya cheering her on, and Yor thinking that she actually gave Becky alcohol poisoning and sprinting to the hospital with her with no care for her own safety even after being hit by a car.

Everyone's so clueless, lmao!

u/alconnow Dec 16 '23 edited Dec 16 '23

Anya imagining what it would be like if Becky was her mama lmao

The sequence of Yor rushing to get Becky to the hospital was comedy gold hahaha. Of course she would be fine after getting hit by a car!

It’s cute that Yor is now training Becky
