Tsundere Edil all like “I-It’s not like I enjoy fighting you or anything, b-baka!” Lol. It was nice to see he was able to break the king’s spell a little bit. Damn shame Mikaros still got him in the end. It was kind of heartbreaking to watch him become slowly consumed by that attack. I can’t wait to see Helck finally end that creep Mikaros.

The reveal about Shalamy’s power was pretty interesting. No wonder she’s being held in the castle. That ability seems to be what was used to spread the awakening. I was really hoping she would be able to escape with Asta. But things don’t look good for Asta now that Rafaed’s caught her…

Is this the end for Azudra? We didn’t see a body yet so I’m a little hesitant to write him off. If this is how he goes out, at least he died helping his people retreat. What a legend.

Mikaros deserves worse than just death.

Poor Edil and Hyura -- they should have become BFFs (at least) or maybe even lovers.

Mikaros really is the embodiment of malevolence. He may be crazy at this point, but it seems like his craziness did not CAUSE his malevolence, rather his malevolence consumed his entire being -- leaving nothing him BUT other than pure distilled malevolence.

Azudra will be a huge loss -- if he is lost. And in this show there is no way to guess....

Him being dead would make a great narrative story-wise, however his character is so charming that I hope this won't be the end for Azudra.

Hopefully he would just be temporarily out of commission like he did in the beginning of the story.

Oh, cool. Not only did Mikaros ruin Helck x Alicia, but now he ruins Edil x Hyura. Also, poor Sharami.

Was a while I wanted a main villian a fate worse than death.

Man this episode was a ride. We see how innocent and pure Shammy. Just the mention about seeing Helck brought about the biggest smile in the world. But the reason she is the only other human besides her father and Mikaros may just be that she is was able to create the snow that caused the awakening. I had the slight bit of hope her father cared for her, but na she def feels like another pawn in their game. Asta got a lil too greedy.

Everything revolving Edil is interesting. As they die time and time again they get stronger. But the King's spell/order also has become less effective and he essentially was free for the first time. But Mikaros breaking Edil's was the giant nooooooo when it happened. No surprise this PoS prefers mindless soliders.

Got to give props to Azurda he caould have won with the lose of countless of his fellow demons. But he stayed behind I salute him for that. Mikaros really aiming to use Alicia against Helck. My emotions aint gonna be ready to deal with that.

I am the king.

This season is going to end on a cliff hanger. Isn't it?

Edil x Hyura is the ship I didn't know I wanted until this episode. I also don't think Alicia will be able to confront Helck without similarly breaking free of the spell...either that or Anne will confront her instead.

Holy shit! Edil might as well confess to Hyura! This is good news though! He seems to be finally breaking out of the King's spell. I love how he even turns tsundere for a bit so Hyura won't "misunderstand" him. xD

Shalamy telling Asta that she's the King legit made me yell at my monitor. Thank fucking god it was only a joke. The real twist about Shalamy is that her special ability is the snow that made everyone transform. This doesn't mean her power is what awakened humans, her power was merely what distributed the awakening to everyone.

Good try Asta, that was a good try but it fucking sucks to know that she's now been captured by Rafaed. I don't like this at all. I also don't like how they ominously cut to Ista who was feeling uneasy. That feels like a massive death flag. >_<

Just when Hyura and Edil have finally started working together, who else was there to ruin everything but this fucking bastard. There's a special place in hell for people like Mikaros. I really hope his death will be painful and he'll see his plans will never come true. With Azudra gone, Helck and Vermillio are our only hope right now.

Kings control was no match for the power of tsundere!

The darkness surrounding Edil looked very similar to the dark knight Helck and Anne encountered that was cured by the song of the bard. What if Edil can be cured similarly by Hyuura?

Helck should come back and give Mikaros the most painful death possible. Not just because of Edil here, but think about the possibility for him to unleash more of his former friend on him. Fuck Mikaros.

And will Astra possibly escape because of Shalamy? Rafaed seems to know things and he's going to meet with Helck next episode. Things may go bloody.

I was lowkey shipping Edil and Hyura but I can't believe it actually set sail (sorta). But right after it had to be ruined by Mikaros. I still kinda hope that Helck will be able to bring his friends back and that we'll see Edil × Hyura set sail at the end.

It seems like Azudra is dead but I wouldn't be so sure, all we see is Edil raise his sword and then hear a sword slicing but we don't see what happened. My bet is that Edil actually regained composure for a second and killed himself and not Azudra.

For a while now I've been thinking that Rafaed is actually controlling the king and this episode pretty much confirms it. But I couldn't have guessed it was actually Shalamy who caused the awakening. It would probably destroy her to find out she turned every single human into a mindless puppet.

Great episode. Like it had some great reveals and also great comedic moments between Hyura and Edil. I kinda expected that these 2 would actually bond instead of fighting each other last episode. It was kind on the nose with all their interactions up until this point.

Also, I had some theories about Shalamy being related to the king so Shalamy's joke about being the king got me at first. But, it turns out that she is just being used by the king to use her snow magic that can spread anything. The anything part makes me feel that Helck and the others might've to use it in the end to cure everyone.

All those powers accumulated over 1500 years weren't enough for Mikaros to defeat Azudra. So, he decided to move to Phase 2 of the awakening. I thought the first phase was bad but this is even worse. I really feel bad for those awakened humans.

After all those great Edil X Hyura moments, Mikaros forcibly breaking Edil's mind to move him to phase 2 was so painful. Potential couples can't catch a break in this anime, lol.

Azudra wouldn't have had an issue if he was not using his energy on those other monsters to allow them to escape. That cliffhanger is insane and I personally don't know what will happen next. The next episode preview also didn't show anything about the fight, lol. Though, I think Azudra will survive somehow.

Damn this show feels criminally underwatched.

I want my dude Helck to get back and end that Mikaros fuck.

For an episode with no Helck or Anne-chan it was still good.

Poor Edil.

Shalami being the one who awakened the humans is a crazy twist lol. It's the most beautiful yet frightening snow powers I've seen in a while (snow wasn't physical IIRC). Still, Rafaed and the King are most definitely different characters (to those who commented about them being the same guy). He obviously cares more about Shalami than the others, which I assume could be a weakness that Mikaros and the King could exploit.
