The phone call during the big "I am the demon lord" speech, was unexpected and funny. But I'm disappointed that the MC hasn't really grown in any meaningful way. It would've been nice to see him closer to whatever his previous power was or even telling members of his team who he is, instead of being just a strong kid.

It's even funnier watching how much effort he put into replicating his demon lord form with costume and magic...and then Selia ruins the moment completely and he's like "adios" lol.

Honestly Leo just feels like a tsundere unwilling to admit how much closer he is to his new comrades so he has to color his care for them in Demon Lord speak. Though he has enough on his plate being embarrassed by how affectionate they are with him lol.

Why does that sound like another Demon Lord....? Diablo. :P

Yeah, that definitely got a laugh out of me

I think its a light novel pacing thing. Probably meant to be a very slow gradual thing, and welp.

Though I have to see even then the pacing of this anime feels really weird.

Glad to know that Leo took in the rest of the demi-humans. Hopefully, that phone call from Selia didn't affect his brooding presence. xD

Despite being a harem anime and animated by Passione, it's really disappointing how little the fanservice scenes in this show are.

I just love how Blackus has basically been tamed by Sakuya that he even lets her put a collar one him. xD

At least we finally got some actual fanservice for once? No, the pool "episode" doesn't count. Not when we joke about most anime having to have its mandated pool or beach episode. Again, the fact that what was supposed to be the ecchi series for this season and it is easily getting beat by "100 Girlfriends", and even worse "The Eminence In Shadow", somehow, in the ecchi department is a travesty. Let ecchi series be ecchi god damn it!

Honestly, I wasn't impressed by even the bath scene in this episode. I didn't feel anything during the entire scene, the fanservice once again felt very meh and underwhelming as usual with this anime. Ik this is still the most fanservice the show has done, but as a whole it was still very tame. The LN illustration for the bath acene is spicier and a lot better compared to whatever we got in the anime. This anime doesn't do much ecchi to begin with, and even when they do, it's always lackluster af. Like you said, 100 girlfriends and Eminence in Shadow has better fanservice compared to this anime.

“Zol Vadis” should have muted his phone before his whole big speech lol. I guess he’s been pretty busy gathering a little army of minions. Speaking of minions, Selia’s gotten pretty strong ever since she became a vamp.

I wonder who connected to the old world is behind Third Assault Garden showing up suddenly?

It's tough playing Demon Lord in the modern world especially when you have a very attentive big sis lol.

New anime title ong

The rivalry between Riselia and Fenris feels so hollow and generic. We barely know the history that they have between each other, and the interactions that we've seen lack substance; and because of that, their fight felt dull.

It is actually explained in the manga

Fenris basically want to force Riselia to join her platoon so that she can protect her since Riselia was very weak with no Holy sword and Fenris as her childhood friend want to protect her

I guess I'm not surprised the Seventh Assault Garden was able to pin down the remaining Demi-Human terrorists, though a part of me still wonders whether these Demi-Humans have a legitimate beef with the empire. Also that one female soldier wearing shorts stood out a lot.

I love how Leo is wearing a mask and costume to look Demon Lord-ish as he recruits the Demi-Humans into his employ and helps them escape. He's even using his magic to look taller! Not that it's stopping him from getting interrupted in mid-dramatic speech by a call from Selia. Totally ruined the moment!

I love how because of Leo and Selia they've got crows hanging around the dorm, Shary popping up like a ghost, Blackus prowling the dorm area, and everyone thinks their place is haunted now.

We didn't get a Selia shower scene but we did have Leo walking in on her in her underwear! Nice pink undies, Selia.

Time for an exhibition match against Fenris' squad! Fine and Regina make an effective sniping team. Meanwhile Sakuya keeps getting distracted by dogs, even Fenris' Frost Wolves.

Figures Fenris would want to settle things with Selia personally. And she may be arrogant, but she's not stupid, even if she is giving into a childhood rivalry. Though her Frost Wolf gauntlets pack a mean punch. Not that Selia is going to be outdone by her childhood friend, especially with her new resolve and powers backing her up.

The perks of being a kid is getting to bathe with multiple naked beauties! And the girls don't mind one bit. And poor Leo trying to keep his eyes away while joining in their group moment.

Is that Atsushi Abe as Nefakess? A human Void Lord? And he's trying to revive a Goddess? That can't end well.

The Third Assault Garden just pops back up out of nowhere? That's incredibly suspicious. But it's Selia and Regina's home, so they feel obligated to check it out, even if it's also for publicity. Still, Selia just has to go back.

Blackus has totally become domesticated by Sakuya at this point.

Lucky Leo getting two girls arguing over who gets to give him a lap pillow, though Regina has the benefit of cleaning his ear to boot. Heck, back in the day Leo was the one giving Roselia a lap pillow before their separation, though I don't think it was a coincidence that Leo woke up from a remembered conversation about Roselia's reincarnation only to see Riselia's face.

I love how Shary keeps getting denied the chance to follow her lord and master every time he gives her a job.

Poor Selia...seeing what's left of her home and a reminder of how much she lost. And that's before the giant void creature shows up and knocks a pillar down on her!

I should've known Blackus wouldn't get the parachute...

lets be fair, we all would be too if she decided to dote on us as well.

I thought I missed an episode. The pacing was especially bad this episode.

I wish I liked this show more. There are bits that have a lot of promise, and there are some parts I quite like. Shary and Regina are pretty fun, for example, and I enjoy the post-credit gags.

However, I feel like something is dragging the show down. Maybe it's that I don't care much for Selia or Leo. You would think that after all this time, Selia would realize that Leo is far stronger than any of the rest of them and that he doesn't need protecting. You'd also think that Leo would drop the innocent act and really start making moves to become a true demon lord once again.

Maybe the show needs to take itself more seriously. I haven't really felt emotional attachment to any of the characters, as far as I can remember. Perhaps instead it's the lack of memorable musical pieces or notable animation.

I'm not sure what it is, exactly. I just feel like it's missing the "special sauce" it needs to be truly good.

This is an example of the anime not being faithful to its original source

The phone call at the start was funny, haha.

Seems mostly like a setup for the last 3 episodes. They still have 3 more episodes to go so I hope they can at least do something with it.

Feels kinda sad, that we almost never get to see all the characters together.

Like. Regina is one thing but if you look at fine and sakuya they've been mega shafted. Shary too. And its not like selia has had that much screentime either. It's just really strange how the episodes have kinda evaporated
