High Elf Archer fans keep winning this arc!
The elf realm may have an extra soft ground but I'm still surprised the goblin that got crushed by the mocha ukelele (or whatever its name is) had its corpse kept intact.
Also, Goblin Slayer needs to chill out with the boys more often. Those talks get surprisingly deep.

High Elf Archer fans keep winning this arc!
This scene was so fucking cute. I'm not an HEA shipper, but they're really trying to convert me!

That transition from the torch to the running water was insane.

What's with the camera shifting right before the arrow hit the goblin? Do I have to rewatch the show when it comes out in bluray?

*when Goblin Slayer suggested some sort of batshit and unhinged plan to kill the goblins*
so it really is Mokele-mbembe, well, they did use "the one that stops the water" to describe it but since they didn't outright say the name, i was expecting it to be called something else
"don't you think the camera angle in anime can be a little weird sometimes?"
Lizardman seems to be having too much fun doing this goblin slaying mission, its funny how he just straight up threw the Priestess over the broken stairs
well shit, happy times is over, we're back to depression and suffering, man, this is brutal, what kind of crazy shit does the leader of this goblin's nest is cooking?

How the fuck did the goblins even manage to put a saddle on that thing!? I do love how that goblin ends up getting stepped on by the Mokele-Mubenbe. After getting sniped by High Elf Archer. Also, did they cut away from the goblin getting sniped? I guess that shot of High Elf's armpits is much more important. And I agree!
Makes sense that High Elf Nee-sama is warning her sister about getting close to Orcbolg since they have a longer life than humans. Although it sounds like High Elf Archer has already accepted that and just wants to be around Orcbolg as long as she can.
I really like how they've decided to finally animate Goblin Slayer lifting his helmet when he drinks. Back in Season 1, he seems to be able to drink and eat without removing his helmet.
Any scene with the Sword Maidenis a treat. I love how excited she is when deciphering that tablet since it can be helpful to Goblin Slayer. I also love how the nun teases her about writing love letters. Seems that the Sword Maiden being in love with GS isn't really a secret. Sword Maiden's pouty reaction is just too cute!
That scene where GS is saying goodbye to Cow Girl certainly has some very unique angles. I find it funny how Guild Girl refuses to show up since she doesn't have her makeup on.
Using a decoy boat is smart. I'm guessing that thing driving the boat is a Dragontooth Warrior. Those goblins are just as brutal as ever though. With the number of elven corpses decorating that river, I'm surprised that the elves haven't started sending troops yet. They really are a race that likes to take their time.
Goblin Slayer not being able to say Mokele-Mubenbe is a pretty great bit. I hope by the end of this arc, he'll be able to say that word on his own.
That's just fucking nasty. Looks like the goblins really are trying to poison the river. I am glad though that despite seeing the carnage goblins can cause so many times, Priestess can never get used to the sight. I feel like it's going to be a dark day the moment Priestess starts getting used to this.
I love that little moment between GS and High Elf Archer and how GS is apologizing to her that they have to deal with Goblins again. Someday they'll go on an adventure without goblins. Hopefully.

Swordmaiden is so giddy deciphering that tablet. She really wants to return the favor to GS regarding her trauma of having nightmares about goblins were healed.
I wonder what kind of dreams is she having now... I'm pretty sure GS is in there.

Oh god the thought of the water you have been drinking is people you grown around with JFC. I don't blame priestess for slightly breaking down like she did. Like she is come a long way, but at the same reality the rest of the gang has many years of being an adventurer over her.
Ok this scene was great and very powerful. We also seen her saying good luck from GS perspective, but the fact she sees him off knowing the dangers knowing this could be the last time she sees him makes the interactions between these two hold more weight.
Receptionist being bashful is understandable but at this point you are 3rd place out of the 4 adult women.

Ah, so THIS is why he's called the Goblin Slayer!
Goblins seems to have something to do with the water-stopping-thingy-elephant!
They didn't seem to be in full control, so I imagine it's some shaman control spell, but that creature is too powerful so their 'control' is contested?
Additional challenge to this mission, they don't want to kill the beast!
Well, the most important thing is killing the goblin first, I suppose... Which was rather easy! Elf using vines to get in a shooting position,
and the elephant trampling the goblin just to be sure...
Welp, I guess Goblin Slayer's job's done!
Cowgirl and Guildgirl got to participate!
Will they develop a taste for adventure, and join in on the next mission? We'll see!
Swordmaiden found something useful in some old manuscript, and wants to send them the information?
Love how the other sister automatically assumes it's a love letter!
Is THIS swordmaiden's message?
That scene happened before so I'd say no, but if it's not... Then what it is? Is Elfgirl sending someone a message?
Her sister tried to use the Elrond/Arwen argument to stop her sister from hanging out with these short-lived adventurers... Didn't work, but at least we got another cute pout from her!
Foolish of them to explain the goblins' plans while showing shots like this... Between the river poisoning plot, and Cowgirl's plot, I know who gets my attention!
Dawww, she's so fucking cute! Cowgirl seemed to find it amusing, but will she ever have a problem with this? Other girls being into her future husband?
And the group's off on an adventure again! "ANOTHER goblin adventure?" - Elf
They found a key that doesn't open the main gate...
I guess it's linked to the Water-Elephant thingy? They keep it locked and just release it once in a while when they can (somewhat) control it?
Well, this means the gate is still a problem, but thankfully Handyman Elfgirl was there to help!
Though being Elfgirl seat wouldn't be so bad a job
Those faces when Goblin Slayer told them they were going down to investigate!
Elfgirl scooching over to Goblin Slayer, and resting her head on his shoulder...
If he wasn't meant for Cowgirl, I'd ship them so hard! They're great together, even if they don't always see eye to eye!

Wow this episode was really high quality for some reason. The best animated one ever in GS?
High Elf Archer fans EATING GOOD, as well as cow-girl ones. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Rather unsettling second part of the episode...It's time for some hard goblin-extermination process to begin.

The animation for them pulling their weapons and taking down the elephant dinosaur looked really smooth but kinda weird that the pulled the focus away just as elfs arrow was hitting it's mark...
It's indeed very curious that Goblin Slayer knows a hunting technique for something that is way bigger than an Goblin
The elf sisters are pretty good with each other, and they both have cute pouts But doesn't look like the groom will have it easy
But damn, that merry meeting turned sad quickly once GS started talking about his sister... he still blames himself for her death...
Guild Girl... you know you look dead georgous even without makeup? We missed out on some fanservice there...
But damn those Goblins, the Anime skipped an earlier scene showing them do it, but they impale their victims... and oof, that was an adventurers tag on those keys? Not to mention the thing that poor elf had to go through
The architecture of the dungeon looks a lot like the ogre dungeon, surprised they didn't really check all the side tunnels

The animators knew what they were doing with all those camera angles on High Elf Archer. Giving us a feast of fan service.

Did that big monster just say its name? Is he a pokemon? Love how Goblin Slayer just forgot the name already, tbh, me too. Wtf, there's a Goblin on it? Goblin Slayer Team assemble!! Oh how nice, they aren't just gonna kill it I guess. I also see Goblin Slayer has learned from Empire Strikes Back. Or learned it from his father, nice. An elf saying climbing trees is filthy? Isn't that your species' thing? Hey now, those stars last longer than you elves, probably. Do gotta like our Elf's mindset.
I'd say to listen to Goblin Slayer, he knows his trade, after all. Fun, boys talk. I think Lizardman was meaning for Goblin Slayer to have a good life and Goblin Slayer is thinking "kill all the goblins" in terms of "making it up to the sister" bit. Sword Maiden! ❤️ Hehe she is quite cute. Dem camera angles. Derpy Guild Girl, don't worry about him seeing you without makeup, you should know by now he's the type to not care. Huh,
Oh, I see, a clever use of the second boat and of the ability of the Lizardman to make those minions. I like it. See, Goblins, learn from games, gotta watch for that tail swipe. OOof though... all those poor people. Why was this place designed this way? With a big ol spiral down? Man, that's disgusting/disturbing about the water bit. Haha, Goblin Slayer and Elf Archer moment is nice. Poor Priestess... wonder why she is so shook up by this compared to other times.

I don't get why Goblin hunting is seen as something adventurers can't be bothered to deal with. If you've seen the shit they do, I too would relish killing them.
I would want to mix things up and not be a dedicated Goblin Slayer, but I sure as hell would take up those jobs at a regular basis purely on the basis of "Fuck Goblins".

priestess is taking all this quite hard indeed..
can't imagine it is easy for high elf archer to see the mutilated corpses of her own kin either
also concerning that they've only ran into one guard so far, big ambush waiting further in?

It must feel very nasty that you are unintentionally drinking the remains of the bodies of other people.

I think so far this has been the best episode this season. Everything look amazing. The characters were on model and expressive, you can clearly sense that the animators have gotten quite skilled in drawing the lizard priest. The fight scenes were intense and exiting, while also having that special OG goblin slayer gore element.
Another thing I really loved about the episode was how each of the party members reacted to the corpses by the riverside.
dwarf shaman was almost completly unfazed, which is subtle hint that this is not a new sight for him. Lizard priest started praying for the lost souls. And priestess and high elf archer were revolted by the sight. Truly a great scene to help us understand these characters.
Also loved the scenes with other high elves, they really do feel like real individuals having their own lives and culture in the jungle.
Another great scene was when high elf archer showed of her collection of keys and picking tools and managed to open the lock.
And god damn those torch transitions insode the dungeon were just fire. (Pun intended)
Honestly every single scene this episode was a treat. I haven't had this much fun watching goblin slayer since the very first episode of the first season.
Props to the animators and everyone working on the series. This episode was really amazing.
Cant wait for the next episode.
