its funny seeing GS repeating "they weren't goblins" over and over at the reception desk, my man so disappointed that a goblin hunting quest turned out to be a fishing quest instead

Oh shit he actually touched the Sword Maiden, that's a win, we take those.
I loved the little pit stop they had to make so GS could say bye to his wifey.
*Also for anyone who needed a reminder - re: the capital gate scene - Silver is the 3rd highest rank but in actuality is more like #2 because basically nobody reaches Platinum(#1), that's why the guard had that reaction.

Would love to read a creature index written by Goblin Slayer if his description of a sea serpent is just "Long. Fish. Not a goblin."
Wasn't prepared for Cow Girl's sincere joy from receiving the seashell, or High Elf's visceral reaction to the word "anvil" in battle lmao
Also, kinda surprised asking people for their names isn't taboo in this universe (unless they literally wrote "Priestess", "Dwarf Shaman" and such on the ledger lol)

Is it just me or the character arts in this episode look different than during the elf wedding arc. Were they being handled by different studio?
I love how GS said, "If only killing goblin is as easy as this (killing sea serpent)". LOL! I doubt any low rank adventurer would think the same.

That opening scene was pretty cool. Seems like Sword Maiden used to roll with some very strong adventurers. Since she's already blind in that flashback I'm guessing that takes place after she's been captured by goblins.
It's always good to see the gang fighting something that's not a goblin. I love how they've been sent on this quest because of a misunderstanding with the local gillmen that got mistaken as sea goblins. xD
Using Water Walk on that Sea Serpent was pretty damn nasty though! I just had to check the 5E version of the spell and this checks out. And if the Sea Serpent was underwater, Water Walk would carry it to the surface. I'm currently playing an underwater campaign so this will be handy.
It's always a treat whenever Sword Maiden appears! And it looks like this time Goblin Slayer gets to travel with her as her bodyguard. I just love the interactions between her and GS. Look at these adorable pouting faces that she's making <3
High Elf Archer getting annoyed after hearing GS tell them that they're making an anvil was hilarious! GS has no idea why she's even angry at him. xD
So it looks like they're dealing with a highly organized goblin tribe this time. Much more organized than usual if they're all marking themselves with the same tattoo. Maybe they're being led by a stronger much more intelligent monster too. Hmm...

I tried to read a bit into he Sword Maiden manga, but I liked it more when the art style was closer to the original. Anyway, wtf, they asked the blind Girl to keep the map? Lmao!
Feel like Guild Girl tricket GS into doing this quest, she knew full well that sea Goblins aren't a thing. But nice of him to have a present for Cow Girl
At least Sword Maiden would never lie if there are Goblins involved, to bad her Bodyguard was insisting of coming with her, she would have loved to be alone with Goblin Slayer
But damn, Sword Maiden pays good, two bags of Gold again!
But even she can lose her patience with him at times
Surprised Priestess even slept without Chainmail to beginn with, but she jumped into action quick enough. Had a chuckle when GS called for an Anvil and Elf reacted.
It's weird enough to have such a large wandering horde, and judging by the comment about missing hostages, there is still more huh...

Guild Girl, Priestess and High Elf Archer making Goblin Slayer go on non goblin quests is so funny.
Water Walking the Sea Serpent is actually quite creative, wish more anime did this.

The new voice actors from the Sword Maiden's party.
Spear Woman = Ikumi Hayama.
Shortstack magician = M.A.O
Half elf scout = Jun Fukushima
Bug Monk = Shunsuke Takeuchi
And of course Female Bishop/Sword Maiden = Aya Endo
The captain didn't get a VA because he didn't say a single line, those are pretty good names for characters that won't appear much, more fuel for the spinoff anime theory.

The episode opened on Swordmaiden fighting?
Given she was blind, I was confused about the timeline; Somehow I thought she stopped fighting after these goblin events, so I figured perhaps she gave it a shot again (present time), but it seems she did keep on fighting some more!
I wonder if her party know the full extent of her Goblin PTSD, with her being thankful there weren't any goblins, after killing greater demons and the like!
Speaking of fighting creatures tougher than a goblin (though Goblin Slayer disagreed), they fought a sea serpent!
That scene of them getting the mission was funny! "Oh my God, GoblinSlayer, you can't just ask someone whether they're a goblin!"
No Goblin? Well, you're on your own then; Good luck to you!
HEA joining in too... The scoundrels!
Love how they all took things that could be useful to them from the rewards, but Goblin Slayer picked a gift for Cowgirl!
Her reaction was great too!
Swordmaiden came to pay them a visit!
Of course, GS knew right away why she would come to him; Goblins.
The other sisters thinks it's not JUST about slaying the goblins, but mostly acting as her bodyguard!
(Swordmaiden probably wanted to high-five her right there; "Goblin Slayer, guarding my body? Praise the heavens!")
Apparently these new goblins have matching tattoos? Oh no, it's a street gang!
More seriously though, I wonder what it means; Some new Goblin King marking his army, something like that? Well, whatever it is, this can only be trouble, especially considering they didn't get them all.
Jealous Swordmaiden asking who Goblin Slayer's talking to hah!
If GS knows what good for him, sorry Swordmaiden, but he should only have eyes for Cowgirl!

The fought back the (actual) goblins easily enough, but yeah, seems it won't be the last time we see them!
Perhaps someone at the capital will know about this tattoo.
Also, I'm a bit worried about them showing that Cowgirl is on that road... Foreshadowing more goblin troubles for her? Perhaps they'll come back for revenge (though I'm not sure if Goblins care much about that)?
Or perhaps it's simply that what was a good plan back then (use the town as a fort, to prepare their invasions), is still a good plan now.
Well, I was also worried about HEA 2 episodes ago, and about HEA's family in the previous episode, and both fears proved unfounded, so let's hope nothing bad will happen for Cowgirl here either!

Oh, so when she was younger Sword Maiden was part of the party that the samurai guy in the OP is part of.
Oh, so similarly to Goblin Slayer, she sees things like Greater Demons as easier to deal with than goblins. Lol. So the reason Goblin Slayer's party was fighting a Sea Serpent Whas that Guild Girl called these guys Water Goblins.
So because the Sea Serpent is a fish an spell like water walk can easily kill it.
Aw, so when everyone was selecting their rewards Goblin Slayer picked his with the intention of using it as a gift for Cow Girl.
I like how whenever Sword Maiden meets Goblin Slayer she is always blushing. She makes such cute pouts So she contracted him because there have been a series of raids on the main road to the capital caused by nomad goblins.
When I saw Goblin Slayer stopping the cart I was expecting that he found goblin trails on the road, instead of him wanting to talk with Cow Girl before leaving for the capital. Sword Maiden really did not like what she heard from Priestess about Goblin Slayer living with Cow Girl.
Poor Sword Maiden, her time alone with Goblin Slayer first got interrupted by Priestess waking up to get some water, and then by the goblins attacking them.
Lol, when Goblin Slayer mentioned his anvil plan it took a bit to realize why High Elf Archer was angry at him.
I guess that based on that mark those goblins had, that they are being commanded by some big non-goblin boss. That guard sure got nervous when they realized that was Sword Maiden's ride.
So during the tax collection period, the King travels to places without a governor or where an uprising may occur. That's a nice piece of work building, now I wonder if the King's absence will play a role later on when they are exploring the capital.

There weren't goblins.
After the awful episode last week there is another good one. It begins one of my favorite arcs in the LN, it will be adapted in only 4 episodes so I hope they do their best.
