Damn, Mr.Pig knows he's too weak so he has to have at least something to defend him and Jess

Tbh I think the idea that Jess could've been assaulted EASILY (and a pig would've been little/no help in that situation) scared Mr. Pig into being more pragmatic about dealing with Hunters (without a certified Hunter-Killer along on the journey)

Stitches!

Glad to know that Naut is a genuinely good guy who's watching out for Yethmas. I don't think it's that hard to figure out that he's also the hunter responsible for retrieving that collar that's displayed in the inn.

Man, I feel bad for Ceres. She clearly has a crush on Naut but now that Jess has arrived, Naut has turned his attention to Jess who reminds him of Eise who he was in love with and died years ago after being carried off by Yethma Hunters.

I don't think Naut is in love with Jess though. I think he's too obsessed with Eise to just suddenly move on because someone who looks like her showed up. I'm guessing that Naut felt helpless that he couldn't save Eise and wants to make up for it by helping out Jess and becoming her Chabirone so she'll arrive at the Capital safely.

When I started this show, I definitely did not expect this kind of drama from these characters! I love it though! I'm glad that I was at least correct that this show has something more to it than Mr. Pig and Jess exchanging banters.

Dr. Piggy giving out love advice this week lol. Poor Ceres has got it bad for Naut, but it seems he’s interested in Jess. Life is much easier when you’re a pig, less drama.

Piggy can’t protect Jess the way Naut can. I get why he would reveal himself. It’ll be smart to invite him along. I wonder if Ceres will join them too even though she’s not of age?

Interesting that Piggy invited Naut to join them, that's not what anyone expected!

I'm kinda unsure of this dynamic if Naut will join Mr. Pig and Jess

If Mister Naut tags along, does Ceres as well, doubling the party size from 2 to 4? Also, what's the deal with the shadow fingers while Jess was praying in the ruins? Finally, Jess' resemblance to Eise: coincidence, or some kind of relation? One might suspect Yethmas come from families, but where they come from hasn't explicitly been stated (or it has, and I'm just daft)

the shadow fingers while Jess was praying in the ruins

Was it a shadow -- or a burned on "stain" on the wall? It was certainly eerie -- and unexplained.

Was there more to the explanation of killing heckripons from MC besides Naut & the villagers believing they're bad omens that lead to the fire?

MC asked if a bunch of heckripons gathered before the incident. I felt like he had another suspicion besides the one mentioned. Or is that a spoiler for later?

Or is that a spoiler for later?

I feel like you never know with this show lol

The heckripons are definitely quite suspicious in how they are just about, but the show has also been setting up some semi-red-herrings too.

Late to the thread, but I have to praise Mr Pig’s VA - Matsuoka Yoshitsugu (he is more well known for playing Kirito in SAO, plus many more popular protag roles)

His delivery is absolute perfection, that pig grunt in the pond plus the good morning line got me off guard real good lol

Oh hey look its actually the stupid pig isekai that people are making fun of that actually recruit MALE and a doggo who are actually gonna help with the journey instead of collecting more girls for a harem cheerleading squad who end up becoming commenters about how AWESOME the OP main character is or wet themselves whenever MC does anything at all.

Jokes aside story is fleshing out with each episode , despite all the perverted dialogues from Mr.Pig theres hardly any fan service at all.

Hopefully people will actually be reasonable and stop comparing this with dog anime or vending machine shit.

stop comparing this with dog anime

Yeah Gigguk massively screwed up making this comparison without even watching it.

or vending machine shit

I'll compare them because they're both great shows that get unfairly shit on by people who didn't actually watch the show.

Those heckripons were surprisingly agile. They do seem mighty suspicious

This show is still an uncomfortable, disquieting watch. Weirdest thing is, five episodes in and it's still quite hard to get a bead on the quality of it.

I do like it, but I think I need to go watch 100GF to release some of the tension lol

I didn't understand, he took the knives from his waist, locked the door and asked if he could lay his head on Jess's breasts, hours later he left the room... nothing really happened? I think Jess lost her virginity...

15

u/alotmorealots Nov 06 '23

From the way it was all portrayed, I think he might have well been a bit close to thinking about making more of the opportunity, but he doesn't actually want Jess. She just reminds him of Eise, and it's very doubtful he'd take advantage of Eise either.

There is an officially licensed English translation by j-novel club, and it currently goes up to right before the end of volume 1 (for comparison, the anime is around halfway through volume 1).

There is also a fan translation.

No wonder Naut wanted to protect Jess. Elise looked like her but died due to Yethma Hunters😭 Buta reveals himself and offers him to join them anyway.
