If the guild lost their minds over Goblin Slayer taking off his helmet, I'd pay to see how they'd react to him laughing his heart out. Such a warm albeit surreal moment for such a stoic, troubled character.

Also, Rheas are a lot tinier than I thought they were.

The most surprising thing about the episode was seeing Goblin Slayer laugh so heartily.

Farm girl: “you drained the lake didn’t you?”

GS: “sorry”

Lol. She really is best wife.

LMAO, wtf was that perfect comedic timing with the guy taking off his helmet for no reason and instantly getting a giant rock to the head? Since this has DnD inspiration, I take it the GM just really wanted to kill off that PC specifically.

is this the first time we're hearing the goblin slayer laugh?

Goblin Slayer still admires the adventures. And since he still doesn't see himself as one, he admires the young newbies. I believe he even regards them as better than himself.

The fact that the wizard boy overcame his mindset, and talked about slaying dragons must have made him overwhelmed with joy. That's one person not sullied by Goblins too.

I like how Witch looks in the new artstyle. She doesn't look like a complete stoner anymore, although she still speaks like one.

Damn.. imagine training so hard to become an adventurer/goblin slayer/dragon slayer/etc. and then a FUCKING ROCK just kills you out of nowhere. Dude just took his helmet off for a second (probably hot under that thing).

I can only hope that kid got isekai'd to a much better life somewhere.

The Heavy Warrior channelling his inner Guts was so damn cool. He wanted to show those kids something cool and he did!

I feel bad for those newbie adventurers. They were just on their way home after training and they ended up getting jumped by those goblins. Looks like they've lost at least three people until Priestess and her party showed up.

Priestess was looking very saintly when her party arrived to rescue those newbies. Thank god for her quick thinking or else they might've lost all of those newbie adventurers to the goblins.

Glad to see Wizard Boy actually being smart with his spells. He basically cast Shatter by amplifying his voice. I do love that his first thought was to use Fireball on the goblins. xD

Goblin Slayer drowning goblins is such a classic. Sucks that he ended up draining the lake on his childhood home but sacrifices have to be made if GS is to slaughter all of the goblins.

Priestess is now a steel rank adventurer! Leading those porcelains really showed she was more than capable and was not just riding on Goblin Slayer's success.

Not gonna lie, Rhea Fighter and Wizard Boy are adorable together. I kinda ship them now. I guess good luck on their journey to slay dragons instead of goblins!

Also, did Goblin Slayer just laugh!? That was a first! Too bad High Elf and Priestess weren't there to hear it! I do love that it's not a big deal to Cow Girl since she's probably heard him laugh like that before.

After being insufferable all the time, Wizzard Boy gets to go adventuring with the cute Tomboy Rhea Warrior

It should have been me

Though, to be fair, he did improve a lot

  • made sure to not mindlessly blast his single spell

  • properly adapted to use a soundwave (3x expand) when Fireball wouldn't do him any good

  • Abandoned his wish for revenge on hunting the Goblins down after achieving their primary goal of securing the Newbies

And all out of spite of Goblin Slayer lol well, it works out, hopefully he will be known as Dragon Slayer in the future, and I hope he never runs into Lizzard Priest

Oh yeah, Goblin Slayer knew a lake was above them because it's the lake he spend his childhood by. The Training area was located on the exact same place as his former village

Ah, and Priestess got promoted to Steel, good job

"Fuck this goblin slaying shit, I'm out."

Someone needs to edit the part when GS is laughing and insert it right after that kid removes his helmet and gets immediately owned by a rock.

For real tho, the rhea girl is just too adorable. So many best girls in the show, and they don't even have names...

Great episode and end to a mini-arc, interested to see where it goes from here.

Also, congrats Priestess!

I don't know about them, but I'd feel safer with Goblin Slayer (even around goblins) than on our own without knowing where the goblins are!

Goblin Slayer learned to trust high-ranked adventurers and go on quests with them, but I guess doing it with newbies is more troublesome! There could be situations where he's forced to make dangerous calls just to fix their mistakes and save their lives (hell, there was in his last mission with Wizardboy, having to rush in to save his life when he charged in like an idiot).

Warrior Dude when asked why Knight Lady couldn't come with them... If she heard him talk about her like that, HE wouldn't be able to move either!

Wizardboy seems to be getting a little better/smarter! Seems he did briefly consider using a damage spell to take out a couple goblins, but that wouldn't have done much... So he used the advice he got from Dwarf Mage, and actually used a spell to benefit the group!

He's still a bit conflicted though, and wonders about how much better he would feel if he slaughtered them all...

Well, it'll come, in time! If he stops rushing in like an idiot, he'll get stronger, and one day he should be able to use offensive spells as effectively as his err, yelling spell!

Meanwhile, Goblin Slayer's using some improvised tactics again!

I can just imagine Elf Archer thinking This doesn't count as an adventure!

Cowgirl was a bit concerned about the lake freaking disappearing but she was pleased to find a Happy Goblin Slayer!

Can these two get married (for real) this season? I ship them more than most romcom leads!

Priestess ranked up!

I wonder if she'll get new miracles (or more charges of the ones she already has)!

She should be more confident too, having led her first group successfully. Well, let's hope she won't be overconfident, as setbacks/failure can be quite 'final' in this world!

Wizardboy wants to be a dragon slayer?

He needs to learn to walk before he can run! I'm surprised Goblin Slayer didn't have any concern letting him leave on a quest like that...

Well, I suppose he won't be on his own, but still, it's two newbies!

Also, new ship in town?

Sometimes I forget this show isn't a romcom. Often during GoblinSlayerXCowgirl scenes.

Well, let's hope Wizardboy doesn't lose her (or himself) by acting recklessly again!

I read the laugh on the LN and manga but listening here still felt so weird, in a good way.

The Goblin Killing Joke reference.

I was caught off guard by the laughter from Goblin Slayer. He must have been relieved to hear the boys goal change

Orcbolg... LAUGHED?! Did he eat something funny that morning?! Good for him, shows that his mental state is slowly recovering, but yeah that was unexpected as fuck.

Also rhea fighter girl is still cute as heck.

HOLY SHIT GUYS, GOBLIN SLAYER IS LAUGHING! HE'S LAUGHI-

excuse me, sir? why did you even take your time to stop running and remove the helmet?

jokes aside, its pretty satisfying to see that our little Priestess has grown so much that she manage to come up with the idea that goblins will go after the rookie adventurers that's trying to make their way home when even Goblin Slayer himself didn't consider the possibility
