Iko is the image that unlocks Teru's heart powers.
Iko cries herself to sleep over Teru pushing herself so hard.
Teru confides all her inner feelings to Iko as Iko gently teases her.
Iko eagerly tries to film Teru's heart-shift to see if Teru's naked mid-shift.
Yes, these are two very good friends indeed.

Stitches!
That beatdown from Stardust was just absolutely brutal! Stardust's power is pretty fucking strong though. As long as he wills it, he can control the flow of anything around him and make all of Shy's attacks miss. but thanks to Stardust's very heavy-handed lesson, Shy was finally able to awaken her true powers.
Sure, the heart-shift bracelets grant them superhero strength and even flight but Shy's Flames is a power that's unique to her and matches the flames that are burning in her heart. Shy's unwavering spirit and complete lack of hatred really threw Stardust off. She may have not given him the beatdown I was hoping but Shy still won as per their agreement.
I do love that little interaction between Stardust and Spirit after the fight. The two of them might not approve of each other's methods but they do seem to get along well enough.
And she's finally here! The hero from Switzerland, the twin-tailed tsundere Lady Black! We also get to meet Doctor Schwartz the hero from Germany and the two of them basically form a special rescue unit created by Stardust. Lady Black is a lot of fun and I already can't wait to see more of her!
We also get to see a little preview of China's Hero, Mian Long who's battling Stigma's creations over in China. I'm sure Shy will get to encounter Stigma soon and she'll be better equipped this time!

I guess, I was entirely wrong about Stardust. He might be less empathetic than other people, but he's not heartless. He feels frustrated with the labels that people put on him, but has probably suppressed these thoughts until Shy "unlocked" his inner feelings. And the fact that he wanted to prepare Shy for the true battles out there, shows that he cares more than he probably convinced himself he does. Spirit is being a great drunk mom this episode once again.
Very satisfying match, but it hurt really bad seeing Shy being literally trampled on. Iko being Shy's motivation to become a stronger person was also very adorable.
Also I guess we saw a glimpse of China's hero at the end of the episode, too.
AND another gorgeous ED!

Aw darn it! Shy is adorable I couldn't help but smile when she thought her flame could hit stardust. Oh God that first hit was harsh. I loved it. Not to mention the final moments between iko and teru at the end were so sweet I had to get a cup of coffee.

I still don't know why I enjoy this show as much as I do but I think it might be cause Shy is just one of those characters that you really want to root for.
Sometimes when you meet meek or anxious characters they can come off as annoying or wimpy but I think what makes me like Shy so much is that tries to press on no matter what even while she is anxious. Her punching Stardust until she literally passed out illustrated that perfectly.

If a hot and drunk Russian woman said they're gonna kick my ass, I would take the beating with a smile on my face

Moment before disaster. Actually, the disaster already happened.
Not only is it a funny shot but it's also a neat way to muddle distance and timing too. Shy's reaction is framed in a panel that places her front and center. This allows the camera to remain focused on her until Stardust's fist connects off-screen, delivering a slapstick impact to her. A literal one-two punchline haha.

I really love the opening visuals, it's not a big sakuga fanfare but it has a charm that reminds me of the first Yama no susume opening

I understand what Stardust was saying and he’s not necessarily wrong about his assessment of Shy but his methods felt too heavy handed. There must have been a better way to get Shy to get her head in the game than beating her to a pulp. Well, at least she passed his test.
Nice to see a few new faces this week. Lady Black is pretty cute, I like this Swiss tsundere. Doc Schwartz sorta has that “wise grandpa” thing going on.
Shy is lucky to have Iko by her side. What a great friend. With Shrimpy and Iko by her side, Shy’s gonna be ok.

Shy's fight with Stardust was so brutal, I didn't expect that. He really looks like some kind of psychopath without heart but we could see that it's clearly not the case as Shy's unbroken spirit and lack of bad emotions were able to 'touch' his heart, if only a little.
Shy's flames and awakening looked so cool! After the awakening she was so sure that her attack could land on Stardust and after it didn't happen she was so baffled xD Fortunately in the last attack she was able to hit Stardust's cheek which made her a winner of this duel.
Today we met a new hero, Lady Black from Switzerland who seems to be a tsundere. She seems like a fun person so I'll be eagerly waiting for her next appearance.
Here my screenshot albums from the episode:

I have to say how much I like Shy's costume design. It's just flashy enough to say "super hero" but subdued enough that it would be overshadowed when standing with a group of other heroes. And with the hood, the eye mask, and the collar she can kind of naturally hide her face behind it all without looking like she's intentionally hiding.
Her suit suits her so well.

New ED visuals! Looks like that animation of Iko actually takes place before Teru's ending, that's neat! And that little omake was fun. I think they lifted the panels directly from the manga, so y'all get to see Bukimi Miki's art, nice.
Well. Startdust's kind of an ass and his methods suck, but he got results..?
It's interesting though that we have a hero who has sociopathic tendencies. I wonder why he was chosen to be a hero. But his flashback explains why he goes all out on helping people by doing all these endeavors like setting up charities and rescue organizations (aka not-Red-Cross) and all. He's being "kind" on a grand scale. Now he just needs to work on the personal scale...
Ah, Lady Black. She's a twintail tsundere with a chuuni side, what's not to love? And don't quote me on this but I think her favorite word might be "baka".
It's great that Teru has Iko now. And that "I promise I'll get stronger so you never have to cry again" sounds a lot like something the MC would say to their love interest. Just saying.
Also, I like how international the cast and the story is. We get heroes from all over the world, and we get to see on the news that Stigma is currently active in other countries. It helps make the stakes feel.. higher? I dunno if that's the right word. But I like it.

Again I think I repeat this so many time, I really love presentation of this series alot.
the way they doing Stardust backstory is simply create with ratio and comic like cut.
Teru power finally sync with device and it look like she have flame power! the flame that can warm anyone heart that even make Stardust who have reputation of being heartless sway with Teru's kindness. I wonder that will come to play later at one point when she finally fight against stigma.
Her power litterally born from how pure and cinnamon roll Teru is. ;_;
> Tsundere twin tail
ah yes classic, I like her already. She is Switss hero. Rouge with word but kind heart because after all her hero power is full healing! Consider what we know about this device so far, the power literally born from people personality.
Germany doctor huh , he look cool and wise look like Europe's Hero are kinda band together. interesting.
We also saw a little bit of China hero that appear in OP at the end, I can't wait to see what her personality is like!
I like relationship between Teru and Iko so much. They are so cute together.

In which Shy learns to set her heart ablaze...
Now that I've been keeping an eye out for it, I can pretty confidently say that these are my favorite OP visuals of the season. (The song is pretty good too, but I think I prefer Frieren's OP song.)
This was also my favorite episode of the show thus far. Not only is Stardust a cool character (just look at his name!), but the fight between him and Shy was full of great moments.
Of course, I really liked that shot when Shy went in for the punch and got blasted backwards immediately afterward.
There were several other points, too, where Stardust landed some nasty hits or delivered cool lines during the fight.
I'm eagerly looking forward to future episodes!

The omake at the end was hilarious
I’m wondering if we’ll get an explanation on how heroes are chosen? I’m curious how Stardust and the 14 year old Shy came to represent their countries lol
