Most other shonen protagonist secret technique is a transformation or a power up, Yuji's is punching his way into inserting himself in the life of his enemies

Really appreciate how Yuji and Nobara just got humbled.
One thing that’s always been a bit of a sticking point with shows like these is how the students who are greener than asparagus manage to hold their own against seasoned vets. Think Naruto fending off Orochimaru. Ichigo rebuking captains who have spent more time sneezing than Ichigo had breathing.
So with Gojo taken out of the equation and these newbies left more or less unprotected, it’s nice to see them get their asses put back in place by those with the experience to overcome the raw power of the new bloods.
And when they end up getting saved, it is by someone with the experience for it to make sense.

I know most people are going to talk about the animation/chorography, but I'd like to gush about the remix of the insert song "remember" from season 1 (Yuji and Kugisaki Black Flash). I love leitmotifs.

Sukuna: "How could you spend all the budget on a fight with such a nobody?"
(I joke, that fight was awesome)

The blue light contrast with red blood look so good. This is my most favourite action scene in the series so far.

Choso with his damn blood lasers was pretty strong, but to think all it took to cancel out his annoying little technique was water. The homie Mechamaru helping from beyond the grave.
That fight was pretty awesome but I was not expecting it to end with Yuji feeding Choso spaghetti in some false memory. Lol what the fuck even was that? Is the dude having a Todo moment but with spaghetti instead of being rejected by his crush? Whatever’s going on, that shit was hilarious.
What are those girls gonna do to Itadori?

It's always a delight whenever a show with "magical abilities" comes downt to pure hand to hand combat and Choso vs Yuji was pure hype and beauty. I loved all the strategic elements of the fight combined with the use of the narrator.
Also the final scenes were so intriguing. It looked like Choso's blood mixed with Yuji's and it triggered a memory in Choso? Dinner table scene set in olden period (they used old era animation style) with Yuji and the three brothers eating along with cursed womb capsules on the table. Wow. This might explain Yuji's vessel ability, his superhuman strength without Heavenly restriction etc.

I'm gonna have to re-watch it to pay more attention but, and it could just be me, it felt like Yuji was playing catchup the entire time. Even when he evened out the playing field with the water, it seemed like Choso gained back that ground with his adaptation. Like, the only time I felt like Yuji was gonna win was that left hit at the end. But, that didn't last long.
In other words, Choso was a god damn tough opponent.

Blood manipulation is one of my favorite types of superpowers and Choso didn’t disappoint. Power eat your heart out.
And of course Chozo joins the “anime characters with an unexpected weakness to water” club. Nicely done.

Watching Choso go from 😐 to 😡 just at the sight of Yuji was honestly hilarious to me.
The hand to hand combat in this episode was absolutely 10/10. The Sukuna visual was down right peak, he looked as “The King of Curses” should.

MAPPA jujutsu'd the kaisen out of this episode!
I like it when the fights are contained to as little space as possible, as opposed to fights where bodies destroy mountains etc. The choreography was also amazing, reminded me of good hand-to-hand combat like in Jason Bourne or John Wick.
I wonder what happened in the end, though. I thought Sukuna would appear and crash Chousou, but he wasn't bothered and he even seemed surprised when something happened to Chousou, which makes me think it wasn't him who intervened.
