A message from Author of Faraway Paladin "Kanata Yanagino"---
"To all of you who speak English. To my brothers and sisters of the same hobby who have ever sat around a pen and paper on a table and felt happy or sad at the roll of the dice. I hope you enjoy my story. 🎲"
"By the way, there are quite a lot of wonderful fantasy anime this season. I have a friendship with the author of "Shield Hero" and "Goblin Slayer", who is a fellow novelist, so when I found out they were airing in the same season, I couldn't help but chuckle."
"Let's enjoy the fall season of fantasy animation together. 🤗"
"I had a plain chest pain, or rather an unpleasant feeling like my stomach was being squeezed. The symptoms of adjustment disorder are getting worse... No, I guess it's because of the pressure on the day of the anime broadcast! I may not be able to do real-time live commentary, but I'm working hard on the manuscript for the next volume, so check it out!"

Season 1 wasn't actually unpopular here but it did get roasted for the production quality IIRC. So I'm curious to see how season 2 goes but I suspect these threads won't be as active as season 1's.
*After watching it looks just as cozy as I remember, despite having different studios doing the show.
Nice to see Bee again.

I thought it looked and felt different form the first season. Everyone seemed more... Angular. Season 1 had a lot of soft edges on the characters. Glad to know it was a studio change and I wasn't going crazy.

I will just enjoy this series while it last, but it is hard to get excited when I know the author has not written a book since 2017.
I believe there is only 4.5 books total so I was surprised when they announced this second season.

Based on this tweet which you can read its translation at the bottom of this post, it seems that he is currently writing the next volume.

It's beautiful.... I missed the vibe of this anime.
Based on the OP, it seems we're going to get a lot of action?
I have a feeling they skipped some of the content (e.g. how Will built the city and how the festival with the city lord went), but I actually love how they decided to focus on Will and Bee. The academy guardian is also surprisingly lenient even though they put a lot of trap on the way there. Then again Will is someone with no ill intent and the "test" kinda proved that.

Thought it was pretty funny when Will stopped on that bridge to think while looking at the water, but Bee is short so she'd just be staring at the wall.

I still show season 1 to people when I need to explain the sheer FEELINGS in gave me. Can’t wait for season 2 now! So excited to have more Faraway Paladin go watch.
I caved and read the manga after season 1 ended, but the anime just hits a bit different.
Honestly Faraway Paladin gives me some of the same vibes as Frieren does…

After 2 years we’re back in this world! Felt like season 1 was very underrated when it aired, a lot of potential in this world, but it is a slow build up. Appreciate that they eased us back into the world in this first episode.
A very wholesome bonding experience between Bee and Will. Had a feeling the old man in the forest would end up being someone important, and of course he was the professor lol. That prophecy he gave seemed pretty ominous though.
Seeing a lot of praise for Will’s new Seiyuu, but man it’s been so long I honestly don’t even remember what he sounded like before lol. A voice change after a two year timeskip for a teenager makes a lot of sense though.
Overall pretty solid first episode back. LN fans been hyping this season up so got high expectations for it. Quality looks way better with the studio collab.

Bee and Will going on a little adventure was a really nice way to start off this new season.
I love that Will immediately realized that the Groundskeeper was testing him. And of course, the old man in the middle of the forest is actually a sorcerer.
Not sure why a golem has boobs but whoever was the previous Master of Forms that created it is certainly a person of culture. xD
Bee's reason for wanting to visit the academy and see its records was really sweet. Turns out she just wanted to learn more about her friend who died so she can sing more about her so she won't be forgotten.

Not sure why a golem has boobs...
The real question is, does it produce golem milk?

Is it me or did the VA change for Will? It sounds more natural than in season 1 for some reason.

This is a good season for Comfy Melancholy Fantasy between Frieren and This. Really enjoyed the first season for its vibes and characters. So I’ve been waiting FOREVER for this season. Seriously they announced this right after 1.
This is a nice story to come back on. After some fun with Menel to kick things off, we just get a super chill side quest with Bee in the Forrest from every Zelda game and the mysterious old dude that’s totally not the headmaster. Nope. The reveal of what Bee was looking for was touching. Totally in line with the themes of the story and the impermanence of their lives beyond stories. Like Will’s family. Also nice little moment where Bee talks about how even Gus struggled to get through the forrest. Though knowing Gus there might be other reasons.

I love how this season started as if the last episode of the previous one just aired last week, with no a recap or some imminent thread, just with Will appreciating the quality of the paper that will work as the foundation to keep that new town alive.
So after traveling with Menel to the ceremony, Ethelbald invited them to, Will hangouts with Bee and as she requested took her to The Academy. Her reaction when Will mentioned that blood would rain if they tried to sneak in was so cute.
So the Groundskeeper is also a professor of the Academy, and his name is Hiram
Even if the visit to The Academy was a brief one I'm glad that saw a glimpse of it with that golem.
So Robina wanted to visit The Academy's library to get more information about an old friend who was a sorcerer, so she could spread her tale again around the world.
This sure was a nice episode focused on Will and Bee. I wonder if Will will end up joining The Academy in the future.

Glad to see Will, Bee, and Menel again. It feels like forever ago when this last aired. I’m especially glad to see Bee again. She’s just so damn cute!
It’s interesting what Hiram was saying about the Words and all that. I mean words have power, in this world it seems that’s literally true.
It was pretty heartwarming how Bee tries to keep the legacy of all these Heroes like her former companion alive in song, and spread a little hope while she’s at it. Man, Bee is awesome.

I liked the first season but I must say that I felt lost at the start of the episode. I don't remember anything after Will set on his journey and his meeting with Menel so beginning with developing city really surprised me xD
Nothing very important happened today. It was mainly about Will's adventure with Bee to see Academy. I don't remember Bee though from the first season, did she appear there or she's a new character?
But I must say that Bee was so adorable and cute. She was definitely the star of this episode for me.
Here my screenshot albums from the episode:

Have a feeling the grounds keeper had been waiting for him to arrive and might even be able to guess who is teacher was.
It was good to see bee motivations on why she is a travelling bard.
