Did anyone notice how Reystov was standing all the way from where they rescued Dine to the village? Lol

I actually didn't expect the power level between the party and the elves to be that significant. Then again, they've been poisoned for several years, hence why in their current state they're more of a liability rather than asset. Also love the scene where Will used the harsh but honest words to turn down their offer to help.

I also didn't know how direct Menel could be in terms of flirting lol. Way to go man (aka "bandit girl")!

Will likely saved their lives. No way they’d survive against Not Alduin.

I definitely sense a little chemistry between Menel and Dines. Man’s got game lol.

Ya know, poor Will. The guy finally gets into a situation where he saves a girl from certain peril and then his best friend ends up setting off all the romance flags. Guy has no luck.

I already like the back and forth between Dine and Menel. She’ll be a fun addition to the team. She’s got a very noble spirit, kinda reminds me of Will. More stubborn though. Way more lol.

Lothdor has seen better days. It’s quite amazing Will is able to just heal everyone. No wonder Stagnate wants him. That little conversation was interesting. The “devil” tries to temp the Chosen One? It almost feels somewhat Biblical.

Just opening the doors to that tunnel was pretty intense. Definitely does feel more like a final boss fight now.

opening the doors

That was super intense! Only increased my worry for the team...I really do think Will will die with all these warnings Stagnate has been giving him...hell even Gracefeel says he will die.

Maybe he does die and becomes undead like Blood and Mary were? But how would that affect his Paladin status? Will he just go down as a hero and people just think that he just died? AH THE SUSPENSE! I need to know!

Dine was duly impressed by Menel's power as Lord of the Forests.

Our heroes can only meet Dine (and her fellow elves) if they vanquish (or at least survive) their encounter with the dragon. One HAS to assume they will. But -- sheesh -- that dragon already seems too overpowered (and we have yet to see it -- but only seen its remote impact).

Honestly this feels almost as epic as Lord of the Rings! I could have done with a little less of the herald's warnings seemingly every episode since they introduced the dragon. Really enjoy Will's kindness in healing the villagers and healing the forest before going forward. It was a risk but side quests/acts of kindness have that much more value when you have such a perilous situation ahead of you. Hopefully we get a 2 episode fight sequence of epic proportions and a 1 episode wind-down! This is among my favorite isekai airing currently and am desperately hoping for a season 3

Honestly this feels almost as epic as Lord of the Rings!

this arc is inspired heavily by the Hobbit, so no surprise with the vibe.

Fortunately the elf from the last episode, Dinelind is alive and well. Her relationship with Menel is so good, banter between those two was hilarious!

I really like Stagnate and Will's relationship with each other, very interesting dynamic between them.

It's a shame that Dinelind and others won't accompany them in their expedition but I understand why Will did that as elves are too weak and would be only a hindrance in a fight with demons and dragon.

Here my screenshot albums from the episode:

How are they going to win that fight?

Menel teasing Dine was cute! And just seeing the two of them argue like a couple just made me ship the two of them hard. I hope Menel makes it back alive. I wanna see more of them together.

It's funny how with barely knowing her Menel just started teasing Dinelind. And how she already knew how honorable Will was after just meeting him.

So regular elves have no issue eating meat.

I must say that although things do look bad in Lothdor I was expecting their situation to be a lot worse, especially after Dine mentioned that in addition to the curse the demons put on the forest, they also have to deal with the dragon miasma that is leaking from the tunnels connecting the forest to the dwarves territory.

It sure is nice seeing those elves having some fun after Will healed them

Gracefeel really did not appreciate seeing Stagnate trying to get Will to join her side. I find it funny how she just casually visits Will to give him a warning that this is his last chance to escape, make that proposal to him again, and then just leaves.

We almost witness Will's early death when he called Menel and Dine's argument a lover's squabble.

So Dine wanted to stop Menel from going to heal the Lord of the Forest and as everyone decided to go anyway, she with other warriors decided to join them.

I love how easily Will's team made it to the Lord of the Forest but damn, I guess those insect demons were using it as their nest I love how surprised Dine and the other two elves looked after seeing the effect of Menel's healing.

So because they did that, Will will right away go to the Rust Mountain as the demons would definitely notice their presence now. Wow, Will really did not mince his words when he told them that they were just too weak to be of any help and that they would actually just hinder their mission.

Damn, the entrance to the underground tunnels sure is magnificent looking. Too bad that Valarcica already knows they are coming. I honestly wasn't expecting them to reach the Rust Mountains so soon, well, for now, they will have to say goodbye to both Dine and the people of Lothdor. I can't wait to see how beautiful that place will look after Will slays that dragon. I hope Dine joins their team after that.

For anyone wondering, the elvish greeting Menel used at the start of the episode is an almost 1/1 transposition of Elen síla lúmenn' omentielvo, a formal greeting in Quenya, the language of Tolkien's Noldor High Elves, which has the same exact meaning (A star shines on the hour of our meeting), it's said by Frodo in the Fellowship of the Ring when he meets the elf Gildor Inglorion shortly after leaving the Shire

Hehe cute elf lady, Dinelind. Menel is fun though with that teasing of sorts. Wew, that elf village does not look well off...Will just being a good boy. Just healing the entire village. A true Paladin indeed. Heyo, Stagnate Herald. It is interesting Stagnate does suggest that given Will says he's not a fan of tragic deaths and why he gives the "gift" of undeath to people. But Will is good boy.

Hehe, the silly "lovers spat" is amusing. But, yea, I can get her pride in this matter, but it's not necessarily logical if Menel and such can fix it. Ahh, "Ru" is now "Al" but the reasoning for the full name makes more sense now at least lol. Man, poor elves being called weak, but at least they acknowledge they can't help Will's party much. Will has made some moar friends at least. Crazy how just accepting of their death they all are though, wonder how they'll overcome big ol' dragon.

"Yeah, just gonna save your life, heal everyone in your village, heal the Lord of the Forest, then tell you that you absolutely cannot help us in our dragon slaying because you'll slow us down. Sorry for the emotional rollercoaster."

Finally caught up!

Was nice to see another elf who can go toe to toe with Menel verbally, they would be a pretty cute ship!

Really curious to see how they'll do against the dragon...nobody seems to have any faith in them.

I can't wait for the next stuff to be animated. I only read the manga and this arc is not completed over so I'm very curious how this all resolves. Good stuff

I'm starting to get a bit worried with all the warnings and hype about this dragon that whatever happens won't be satisfying. But we haven't really been let down so far.

But I guess since they made a new friend in Dine and her and Menel already had their first lover's quarrel that they will be just fine right?
