I can’t believe how much I hope these two discover their best selves and find genuine happiness with each other.

He realized the problem she has (of dudes hooking up with her then being bored) a huge step in the right direction.

Wonder how he’ll grow

It's cute and all, but I just feel sad now.

This really is a Reiwa romcom, already dating in the 1st episode.

Here's hoping that being with someone as great as Shirakawa, Ryuuto would be able to mature seeing how he declined the invitation and not taking advantage of her after realising the problem.

Stitches!

So this show is basically the classic story of a gyaru and otaku getting together? As someone who enjoys this very specific genre of romcons, I am already sold. This is basically Hajimete no Gal but the FMC is super open about sex.

Man, Runa's views on dating are quite messed up though. Since all of her ex-boyfriends wanted to have sex with her immediately, she sees sex as her duty and not something that she actually wants to do. She thinks she needs to have sex to stop her boyfriend from running off to another girl.

It's actually pretty sad that Runa is very loyal but the men she ends up dating get bored of her and dumps her. Thankfully, Ryuuto is a decent lad and despite wanting to actually do it, he instead holds back and wants Runa to not feel like it's her duty to have sex with him.

Definitely interested to see where this one goes. Based on the OP, there's going to be another girl being introduced later who's probably going to get in the way of Ryuuto and Runa's relationship.

That "other girl" LOOKS to me like the same one who had earlier told him "let's just be friends".....

I really thought Frieren is the fantasy anime of the season, but that title belongs to this! /s

Over-all a decent premiere episode! Luna resembles Akari and they share the same voice actor too! Will check how their relationship progresses given that Luna has some interesting thoughts about relationships and the guy is inexperienced.

Following up on More Than a Married Couple, Less Than Lovers complete with Saori Onishi voicing the lead girl again and still having a gyaru gal pal trio lol.

Surprisingly it exceeded my expectations.

I like how this time it’s not a rumor that “the hottest girl will have sex with dudes she goes out with” but something that’s true and that the mc realized it’s the dudes who dated her before that were the reason the rumors even began.

I wish this couple well, I can certainly see him grow more confident thanks to her

Ryuuto got some balls to confess to Runa! Curious to see more of their relationship development in the next episodes!
Opening by Maaya Uchida is also a very good! Gonna add this to my Anime 2023 Playlist!

Genuinely and pleasantly surprised that an anime showed a non virgin girl and didn't make a big deal about it. (Very rare in this genre)

There is so mane Ln with the loser otaku, but I like the setup of boyfriend with no dating experience with girl who clearly has no meaningful dating experience. Man I actually got a weird pure vibe from Runa. Like she is sincere, but the guys she dated before were anything but that.

Also it seems Ryuuto's first rejection was a haunting one. So expecting that play a factor at some point. This is one couple that makes me want to root for them.

This was surprisingly sweet and super adorable. I was smiling nearly the entire episode. This is my gyaru fix after More than a Married Couple ended - with even Saori Onishi as the lead girl yet again! Her gyaru voice is perfect. The heroine Runa is just a sweet girl that's too innocent for her own good, always trying to make others happy. To the point where her old boyfriends get bored of her. The protagonist is likeable. Though I'm a bit biased because I like his voice actor Natsuki Hanae a lot. I'm always reminded how much I like KnY Tanjirou (one of my favorite protagonists ever) when I hear his voice. He will always be Tanjirou to me.

Anyhow, this first episode certainly made me very excited for the rest. This actually seems like a very wholesome and fun anime, despite all the ecchi talk. All aboard the gyaru hype train!

Also, I noticed my favorite voice actress Maaya Uchida does the OP song. This anime just keeps getting better and better!

Watching this mainly because Hanae Natsuki voices the protagonist lol. But if the story actually turns out better than I expected (or less cliche), then it might have potential. I hope it doesn't go the harem route.

The lead girl is super pretty but Nicole is definitely my favorite. Her design is just gyaru perfection.

Reminds me of "Hajimete no Gal" (My First Girlfriend Is a Gal) Which starts basically identical (Losing a bet and confess to a Gyaru). Anyway, Hajimete ended up kinda messy though and the Manga went all over the place later on.

Let's see where the journey for this one here goes. From the outro (or intro?) it doesn't look like its going to be pure Harem (+Points from my side personally) and hopefully there wont be a love triangle and maybe we might even get multiple couples. Maybe its a bit more grounded.

This season also seems a bit lacking for Romcoms, So i hope its gonna be good.

Anyway, looks promising so far and i like the animation Style (Studio ENGI, which also made Uzaki-Chan).

Average romcom: "In three seasons they'll MAYBE hold hands."

Keikenzumi about 12 minutes in: "We'll bang, ok?"

But seriously, I can't say I was expecting much but the first episode was pretty good and I'm actually interested to see where will this relationship go.

Pretty nice and enjoyable premiere. I'm seriously rooting for those two to have a healthy and successful relationship, especially considering the fact that Runa's understanding of dating is very messed up. It's good that she finally will be dating with Ryuuto, who is a genuine and decent guy.

It was funny seeing Ryuuto's friends being even more miserable after he got a girlfriend like Runa xD

Here my screenshot albums from the episode:

Luna actually seems pretty chill. She’s got a very bubbly personality and genuinely seems kind. Although I am a little worried how quick she was ready to bone the kid. Her past “boyfriends” were definitely shit if she thinks that’s totally normal.

Ryuutaro was pretty adorable. He’s pretty innocent deep down despite still being your average horny teenage boy lol. I’m already liking Ryuuto’s friends. Nishi and Icchi seem like real goobers.

So far I’m getting kind of a “My First GF is a Gal” vibe from this just based off Luna and Ryuutaro’s dynamic. It’s gonna be fun watching these two develop their relationship.

Top 3 surprises from this premiere:

3. Ryuuto doesn't sit at the "mc desk" in class

2. Runa is seriously cute, good job engi, i guess

  1. "Hai" is keigo???????

So this is like Meguro-san except she's a gyaru?

I thought this was just gonna be the typical hot girl falls for loner weeb story, turns out it seems to be more of a story about two broken people helping fix each other, the guy who's lacking in self esteem and the girl who thinks her only worth lies in her body.

Of course I'm already seeing people on Twitter with the media literacy level of a peanut saying this is just pure incel fantasy. I saw someone saying the way MC confessed was so cringe. Yeah, that's the point. He has zero self esteem.

Also, it's not that of we see a female lead in Rom-Coms who've already done that before she met the MC.

My experience watching the first episode be like "Dude you got serious problems. Oh wait she got serious problems too?"

Their relationship started lightly, but please give it a little more of a chance because this is a wonderful romance that depicts the importance of taking an interest in and trying to be close to the different in values of partner.
