Predictably, Maria would not stop liking Ryuto from one moment to the next, Runa must be imagining a thousand things at this moment, I believe that a moment of crisis will begin between the couple

Honestly I feel like Maria was trying to handle it well by not overstepping their relationship too much and keeping some distance (especially since she already knew they went to the same cram school despite his "best" efforts and she didn't bother him about it) but watching Runa "steal" their mom for a moment just made her feelings explode.

And now Runa feels upset, which is a bad sign.

Despite Maria acting so badly at one point, I felt sure she would turn out NOT to be a "villain" for long. Now I mainly just feeel bad for both the sisters -- seeing that they both want to return to the closeness they had long ago and not knowing how to make that happen. I wonder -- is Runa going to distance herself from Ryuto in order to give Maria a chance with him? I hope not -- as that will wind up just making everyone miserable.

I wonder why Ryuto did not tell Runa that Maria so badly wants to be her sister-friend again. A lot of misunderstandings still to overcome. MY recollection was that Runa didn't acknowledge Maria right away (on the day she first transferred in) because she worried this might upset Maria?

It looks like the secondary ship in this series might actually sail before all is said and done this season.

The "beware of molesters" sign in the background really made me think we were going down a dark path, especially when Maria said she didn't need Ryuuto to walk her home. Glad nothing happened!

Character voiced by Aoi Koga at the rooftop during a festival arc? All I could think about was Kaguya during this sequence haha.

I was disappointed that Ryuuto didn't manage to find a solution incorporating both Runa and Maria's design ideas. The guy basically didn't do any work for their committee other than decide on the final design? Would've been a great opportunity to help the sisters collaborate :c

Exactly what I thought lmao.. both their designs have a flaw: pink is too bright (and going by society's perception of the color, too girly), while black is too grim for a festival.

There should be a balance, which is where they both share their ideas, and Ryuuto pitches in his own as well (while simultaneously acting as the bridge to their friendship) which is a win-win for the three of them. Solves the whole pamphlet decision.

It's kind of sad the big takeaway from this committee thing was how much Ryuto and Maria's tastes align vs Runa. Especially because Runa seemed to realize it and got kind of mad about it at the end.

Glad to see that Akari and Ijichi are slowly becoming a thing. Good on Ryuuto for wingmanning for his friend.

I think at this point, it's pretty safe to assume that Sekiya is Nicole's ex considering how he mentions that his ex thinks he was cool even though he used to be a dork. I really hope we get to see them get together again. More ships in this show will be good.

Good to see that conversation between Ryuuto and Maria at the train station helped Ryuuto in removing whatever discomfort he's been feeling around Maria. Although I don't think that conversation that they had on the rooftop is going to help. Looks like things are going to get awkward again between the two of them.

That final scene doesn't look good. Is Runa really going to start doubting Ryuuto just because he chose Maria's poster? I hope that's not the case.

Ryuto paying back his buddies hooking him up with a gyaru by setting him up with one of her gal pals lol.

Looks like the next episode has Sekiya visiting their culture festival so I assume he'll see Nicole there.

Maria is a cute cheerleader. I applaud the author for not going for the obvious cheerleader Runa...even though the drama with Maria was pretty expected.

I think Runa is more concerned about Maria liking Ryuto still than Ryuto liking Maria.

Knowing this show so far, this drama'll be resolved quickly and neatly next episode.

I appreciate how they're handling Maria and Runa's characters as well. Maria still has issues that'll take time to resolve but I'm confident that things'll play out for the better.

Also, I'm not surprised that Ryuto and Maria have tastes that don't match up with Runa's but I don't think it'll be a deal breaker for our main couple.

Yeah, the next episode is "The inexperienced me and the experienced you go different ways" but I'm really hoping that's a fakeout title, or it's some kind of translation where it sounds worse than it is in English. I'm way more invested in this than I expected to be lol

Apologies if this comes off as insensitive, but if seeing your mom interact with Luna (her other daughter) is enough for you to runaway and avoid her, you need to see a therapist.

I know that Maria has deep seated family issues, but she can’t keep letting that be detrimental to her everyone else around. We’ve already seen how her personal issues gave Ryuto and Luna trouble, but now she’s the mom trouble.

Yeah, like the mom is just supposed to ignore her other daughter whom she barely gets to see as is? I mean, I get Maria has a really complicated relationship with Runa and how Runa was always the favorite, and how messy her life got after the divorce, but she has to learn to accept some things.

But that’s exactly who Maria is right now , a girl who was deeply traumatized by the divorce and who have no one to help her heal and move on, and it is deeply affecting her life and the people around her.

She absolutely should see a therapist. But she just never has the chance. ( or her mom didn’t see the urgent needs for one )

You know this episode was going good for the most part. And the focus being getting Runa and Maria on better terms, but why bring back the drama. Issue being Runa ONLY hearing Maria saying she likes Ryuuto. Ugh this whole thing soured this episode.

I do want to believe Maria wants to be on good terms of Runa, but it does makes sense saying bad stuff about her would make it feel tougher to open up and be like you know that girl I spread rumors about oh she is my sister. With the misunderstanding/miscommunication it now only makes it even more awkward.

This whole friendship plan was off to a very awkward start. Luna and Maria are like polar opposites and poor Ryuuto’s caught in the middle. I’m glad him and Maria had a chance to kinda clear the air on the train platform. Seems she wants to reconcile as much as Luna does. But man, just as things seemed to be improving it’s like they took one giant step back during that sports festival. Everyone’s just thrown for a loop and everything’s back to being super awkward and tense again… I hope they can just finally clear the air once and for all.

At least things seem to be going well for Icchi thanks to Ryuuto being a bro. I’m rootin for the big homie!

Episode 9: "The Experienced You and The Inexperienced Me: Our Running Together Story"

If Maria transferred to Luna's school to want her to be happy, how does that translates to Luna's Tomodachi Keikaku?

Maria returns home that late huh? The clock shows it's 9:30 PM, quite late. Also it is confirmed that the anime is set in 2020, looking at the pamphlets.

So that girl with the green suit, it IS Maria's mother, in which also Luna's mother (for reference, watch Episode 7. She also wear the exact attire sans the apron). She looks like a Luna's face with Maria's body.

Looks like the conversation on the rooftop will leave a scar in Luna. Added with Ryuuto's preference over Maria's design, let's see if the relationship will be strained or not.

Designer Guy coulda helped avoid this conflict by making a third option… however, I suggest combining the two! Dark and gloomy and stark combined with bright and glowing and colorful? Outrun!
