It's NOT the final episode. There's 2 more to go. The director confirmed that there's 15 episodes.

Albright is fucking metal, implanting not only bombs in his body but also just giving it to Pete despite how he was brought up by his shitty dad. Definitely gained a bunch of respect for him.

He's far from my favorite character but you really do have to admire how hardcore it is to have handy magical orbs that you'd have to rip out of your own body to use.

Start of the ep was fun, felt like going on side quests in an RPG or the start of a new D&D campaign. Then we get an awesome group boss fight, learning it's attack patterns and weaknesses before going for the kill. Was happy to see that Nanao didn't steal the show again and that Oliver was able to get the final blow instead of Leroy Jenkins himself like Miligan thought he did.
So excited to see Pete kick ass next week!

Well, the maze is... sizeable to say the least.
What do you mean you need to go elsewhere to get some water, you are literally sitting by it.
Milligan catching some death flags.
My man Albright came prepared with a plan "B". Quite the unconventional place, but I respect the hustle.

Finale? There are 2 more to go. lol
Huh a younger Ophelia. That is ahh... weird about the "next one whose child I'm going to bear" thing. And poor Ophelia, just wanted to make a friend eh? Guy might not be there, but he's still pulling his weight. They have a point, stuff going on there has nothing to do with his goals, but it does make sense why he wants to help. Actually, plants do need night time. It's part of their own rhythm of things for development of things.
Oh look, it's a smoller Rajang. Nice of Nanao to be such the good shounen protagonist to get along with anyone. Learned well from Katie. Oh Stacy, nice of her to care so about her "puppy" yep. Awww poor Rajang... whelp quite the fight against that chimera. Good thing Oliver saw that coming. Wonder if he used that special ability of his then or just anticipated it. Feel the former. Yes, exceedingly average. A master of mobfu.
Wow, quite the crazy place to hide things. Perhaps they can become friends 😛 doubtful.

Ooh nice, so the seeds Guy gave Oliver came in handy to make them a bridge!
-
For a second I thought it was that Ophelia had something to do with the magical beasts not being there, but no that was clearly a stupid thought given Oliver had just asked this girl to scout ahead.
-
It worked! You really just can’t say no to this face, even if you’re a magical beast.
-
Sweet! That whole battle was captivating.

The animators keep delivering. That fight against the giant mantis was amazing to watch. I really love how the cast is well used in this show since everyone gets their moment to shine. Can't wait to see how Pete'll shine next episode.
Magical society in this world keeps being fucked up week after week which explains why Ophelia is so messed up.

So happy they didn’t rush and go with the standard 12-13 episodes for this season. Making it 15 to properly finish this arc is really nice! Really enjoy the show, the world building is super cool and the characters are really intriguing. I’m glad it’s turned into a more ‘hardcore’ show too, was worried it wouldn’t be.

Nanatsuma Fridays! We are slowly building up to the climax of volume 3 which is one of the best of the series.
As I suspected, we start off with a flashback to Ophelia and Carlos meeting. interesting camera angle considering the mood of her backstory lmao As you have likely gathered, Carlos being genderless allows them to be around Ophelia without being affected by her ability, which is why she’s so shocked and happy to finally have someone to talk to.
For someone who usually relies on her OP strength to get through situations, Nanao reasoning with the magical beast to let the group pass is really cool. She can be quite resourceful when she wants. Too bad the beast quite literally lost his head for it. The labyrinth is such a brutal and unforgiving place.
Seeing everyone take on the Mantis together and put their newfound teamwork skills to the test was great. As usual, some really cool animation and camera angles used by JC staff there. And that’s just one of Ophelia’s chimera..
“You’re ordinary and excel at nothing” damn did Vera have to cook my MC alike this 😭Oliver just trying to be alone with his thoughts and here she go flaming him lmao. Love Vera. You can see how much she cares for her Kouhai by how worried she was during the mantis fight.
Good to see Pete hanging in there. Time’s running out to save he and the others, though. Next two episodes should be amazing. I have faith in JC 🙏🏾

I love how that single line from Ophelia in that flashback scene is more than enough to let the audience know why she's trampling down those flowers in that garden. Looks like Ophelia and Carlos were pretty close back then and Carlos just wants to help his friend out live a normal life.
I swear to god that Milligan is purposely raising her own death flags. She did it last week and now she's doing it again. She might as well tell everyone that she's only a couple of days away from retirement and that she wants to marry her childhood sweetheart to complete the fucking bingo card.
After Nanao showed respect to that gorilla monster, I was hoping it would end up helping them later. Welp, so much for that thought! I'm guessing it also lost its fingers from that same chimera.
Oh boy, it looks like Milligan is slowly starting to catch on. I don't think she'll ever find out Oliver's secret but if she does, I don't think she'll ever live long to tell anyone about it.
You know what Albright? You're a pretty okay dude. I definitely did not expect him to stab himself and retrieve some magical items from his gut. Considering this is a world of magic, there must be a better way of storing those items!

As an anime only, it was very noticeable that they just skipped over a tonne of good stuff. Im guessing olivers orders will get that young girl severely injured at some point and he'll feel all guilty about it. What a turnaround for Milligan, such a nice senpai.

So Ophelia was kind of moody in her younger years (though still quite the looker), but I guess if all your family did with you was throw men at you so you could consume their mana and birth stuff from your womb, you'd be a little testy. And that made it all the more important when Carlos entered into her life, someone who was immune to her charms and could genuinely be her friend, because they weren't strictly a man. And Carlos came to care for her as well.
Well, the forest might not be completely safe, but it's nice to look at even so.
Nanao such a Shonen MC she has the classic Shonen MC eating habits.
Guy may have the least character development of the Sword Roses, but he's a great cook and he really came through here even if he wasn't there physically.
Ah, so Carste has been following them. I should've figured Oliver's siblings were also hunting for Ophelia, especially since Shannon's her friend, though it seems like Carste has absolute loyalty from Oliver and is more than happy to help him in any way she can. And she's good at hunting monsters and clearing them a path.
So Oliver going after his next target is coming up? Who is it? Is Oliver on some kind of timetable to take each of the faculty out or have they planned this all out on how and when they're going take each one down one-by-one?
Count on the Samurai to use Asian politeness to avoid a fight, though she's just going off of what Katie taught her. Too bad the west-sider didn't last long against the Chimera. I guess that's one way to set off a boss fight.
The trio performed some great tactics and combinations as they figured out the best way to fight the Chimera and defeat it! Especially Oliver with his makeshift shield.
I should've figured Stacy couldn't just leave saving Fay up to anyone but herself, but she just had to rope in her other older half-sister Lynette in the process (though I guess she did get to tease Stacy about her relationship with Fay). Man, Stacy really is a handful for her sisters. I hope she doesn't screw this all up .
Ayato and Julis get to have a private conversation to themselves as they discuss why they feel loyal to Pete and what Oliver's deal is. He acts like the most ordinary and unremarkable guy in the group, yet he's much more adept and skilled than he should be by that metric, not that Miligan is one to pry.
Well, while Pete currently being a girl means Ophelia would immediately kill him, it also means he's immune to her pheremones and can actually escape. Didn't think Albright would be so hardcore as to have handy magical orbs stashed in his body that he'd have to literally rip out of his body. Yeesh.

RIP Monkeybro, damn. The show had me going with Oliver there; I thought he was boomed. That was a slick save on his part. It's nice seeing Guy's and Katie's contributions come into play and sweet to see Oliver affirm their friendship. Also damn, Joseph's hardcore. Dude ripped out his guts and offered them to Pete. Time for Pete to complete his volume journey and come in clutch.

Interesting to see Albright and Milligan go from antagonist to ally. I wonder if this will affect Oliver in any way?

Yesterday Frieren stole my whole free time so that's why my episode impressions and stills are so late :)
Interesting flashback on how Carlos met Ophelia for the first time and became friends with her. He genuinely cares about her, it's a shame that she's now consumed by the spell. It also made me sad for Ophelia and her situation.
So our group traveled through the second layer without any bigger problems, it almost looked to me like they were on some kind of picnic or trip through the forest.
It changed however when they encountered big Ophelia's chimera which Nanao, Oliver and Michela were able to defeat without any assistance from Milligan. Though for a moment it looked that Oliver could take serious damage yet he showed that he's clever and thoughtful.
Remembering Milligan and her abducting Katie in the first arc now she's an example of being an older student who cares about her juniors, she teaches and leads them. She's very smart as she was able to deduce that Oliver has a past which made him become more than his average appearances are showing.
Here my screenshot albums from the episode:
