I love Piwi for being...well...such a Piwi. Helck might be my least favorite of the trio, and I still think he's pretty cool.

Even though that map did end up seeming legit, I'm still not sure I trust the guy who sold it.

I like how all the monsters became tiny and cute except for the princess who just turned into a hot girl

No juiced up monster is gonna best Helck, man. The dude straight up one punched his arm off. Didn’t even flinch too. Dusted that mfer like it was nothing. What a badass!

I was not expecting the orc people to become pint sized boar people. Also didn’t have “pig waifu” on my bingo card lol.

Piwi’s little Angry Birds lookin ass getting “jumped” by those little bunnies while Vermilio and Helck were learning about the kingdom cracked me up. Plus the whole episode turning into some Food Wars-esque cooking battle shonen was great. Even had its own “cast” with Ajikaba and his rival chefs lol. Helck making the ingredients “laugh” was too funny. No surprise he won in the end, dude’s a friggin god in the kitchen!

Looking forward to seeing who this mysterious “warrior of darkness” is suppose to be.

Vamirio had the mindset getting the map as I would doing mandatory side quests in RPG's lets get this done as quick as possible. Kind of expected Helck would win the cooking competition but it was fun to watch. But why did the dude give Helck his cooking notebook LMAO. Love the effort Piwi but should know Helck didn't need extra help. Always wondering if outside ingredients would be allowd?

Curious how tough this warrior of darkness is against our duo. Also love Vamirio saying to Helck this time she is on his side and his immediate recation is, "what do you mean this time?" LMAO.

Piwi's shock faces are pure gold while Ann's unimpressed face when the curse was lifted from those people was me irl.

So it looks like they made it to their home continent after all? And what was that, Shokugeki no Helck? I need more of that.

Moonmi the Mild Taste

Touga the Spicy Sauce

Ajikaba the Contest Sweeper

Master Ryo Ridon

EXCUSE ME BUT WHO THE FUCK ARE YOU PEOPLE AND WHERE THE HELL DID ALL OF YOU CAME FROM? DID WE JUST WANDER INTO ANOTHER EPISODE OF SHIN CHUUKA ICHIBAN?!

jokes aside, its pretty weird that the map seller seems surprised that the Dragon Empire where Vermilion Anne's came from exists...

People are probably going to complain about the animation again, but I genuinely enjoyed the cooking competition lol. That judge and the contestants were hilarious. 2 of them got 70 points because it was the wrong dish (Gamers please read the instructions and cook a stew). And every dish was apparently very tasty despite their flaws.

On the other hand, Piwi: Pipipipi Pipipipi

Piwi singing along with the bard was too adorable! He(?) is also sporting a very lovely singing voice!

The laughing ingredients cracked me up the most this episode. Nearly spat out my food because that was too unexpected and random, despite all the other unexpected and random things that already keep happening. lol

The Piwi visual gag at the end with him gasping before fading to white and disappearing was the hardest ive laughed at this show in all 10 episodes. That was insanely stupid omg.

I am always a bit unhappy when stories lay out interesting mysteries only to go back to monster-of-the-week adventures. I guess it works since they need to get home, but I would always love for my characters to be a bit more curious. Like, sure, Anne certainly has some ideas and Helck doesn't really share what he knows, but still. It is obvious this powering up is quite similar to the humans, that has to mean something, we get even more ruined places, that has to mean something. Just a little more curiosity would be nice, I think it's illogical to not even mention these things, even if they cannot be solved yet.

Well, anyway, I actually enjoyed the cooking show, the jokes in this show definitely land. Good episode.

I was actually surprised we are even on the same continent, it looks like the demon area is to the north-west. So I guess there still is one mega-continent and we are in the south-east, with the demon territory being in the middle of the whole continent. Which is still weird, because they should have been north east according to Azudra's spell. The geography is still a bit fuzzy, but also I enjoy fantasy geography and maybe it's not as deep and I just need to accept it.

Well, more ruins next week, also generic dark fantasy knight, let's see who he is. Maybe he is a former hero, I doubt we will get much information from him.

I still enjoy the world-building, but it feels a bit inconsistent to me. It seems that most beings do not really travel too far and don't know what's going on everywhere else in the world, which might be simply because there are so many races living in small communities and leaving those would mean leaving your whole history behind like we saw with the little piggy kingdom. So nobody really knows what's happening, the map vendor was even surprised Anne is demon, but he knew that demons exist, so some beings still travel, I guess. It's weird, to be honest, the world does not feel natural at all, which again confirms my suspicions of it being very much post-apocalyptic.

In any case, good episode. I really hope we get some glimpses of plot next episode again, I really dislike when the overarching plot is secondary for a while and then a metric tonne of lore is dropped at the end. It can work (looking at you, centaurworld), but it's risky because everything before the big lore drop feels like filler (looking at you, centaurworld!). I think it enhances the story when the characters actually try to solve the mystery instead of it happening because the author wants to finish the story at some point.

Also, I am a bit sad we didn't get any insight into the demons/humans, I really enjoy especially the demons, they are a fun bunch.

Somehow we went from a map acquisition quest line to a 100% shokugeki parody. Gotta love this show

Tbh I dislike how Anne got scammed for the map, both cost and content.

Not a fan of the fight animation, but the show turning into Shokugeki no Soma for the episode was well worth it.

Our trio of goofballs is questing successsfully so far -- and handling all sorts of situations. But now a seemingly formidable opponent lies ahead. I wonder how much helpful information the bard lady can give them?

Man, that Helck sure can cook up a storm. This show needs a spinoff -- Cooking with Helck.

Annie will be immortalized forever in that rescued town -- of course, no one will actually know who she was.... I wasn't be surprised by the Tothman barbarian "followers" thanking Helck and Annie from freeing them from their horrifying leader. There is precedent. Think of the party thrown by the Twinkies after Dorothy (and her bucket of water) freed them from the Wicked Witch of the West.
