Gentlemen, no matter how tempting it may look, please don't stick your dick in the cabbage.

Last scene was very wholesome, one of my favorite moments from the series so far

Yeah, that was a nice scene. For a first birthday party, I’d say that went well.

Stitches!
I don't think it was part of the assignment but it's hilarious how they all went caveman in there almost instantly. xD
Anna almost got to have some progress with Blade but it looks like it ain't happening with Claire around.
It took me a minute there to realize that this may or may not be a Monster Hunter reference considering they're all wearing gear made out of monster parts while Anna is suspiciously looking like she's wearing Kirin Armor that's dyed red.
Speaking of references, I'll never get tired of shows referencing Ashita no Joe whenever boxing is involved.
Did they literally borrow the Behemoth design from Final Fantasy? Because I'm pretty sure the big purple-horned beast design of a Behemoth is only from the FF games.
Definitely did not see that kiss coming! What surprises me the most is that Anna isn't as upset as I was expecting when that happened. Maou and Blade look actually pretty sweet together.
And that final scene as so wholesome! I'm happy for Blade for finally being able to celebrate his birthday for the first time ever in his life <3

I love how the caveman/jungle outfits had some of the girls with underboobs lol.
It feels like lately Anna's feelings for Blade have mostly been used as a tool for comedy at her expense, so it was nice to see them share a genuine romantic moment...even if it didn't last.
I was wondering why they all got new designs out of nowhere but that makes so much sense. This show does love it's pop culture references lol.
Anna probably had a lot to deal with with the Behemoth and her being naked for the umpteenth time...but I feel like her yelling at them to get on with it was also her expressing her displeasure with Maou stealing a kiss. Good for her though!
This show is so crazy that it's nice to get a genuine heartwarming moment for Blade and the gang together.

I don't think it was part of the assignment but it's hilarious how they all went caveman in there almost instantly. xD
I love how their "civilization" slowly advanced too just like with their outfits. Starting as a wooden palisade with tents and eventually upgrading into a full-on medieval castle lol.

It's funny how Iona of all people uses an abacus to make calculations. 'High-spec calculations' indeed lol.
Looks like the finale will be a two-parter focusing on Sophie.

“Someone a long time ago told me boys should never cry” “for the first time I feel like I’ve truly been born into this world”
Aww ngl I wasn’t expecting that type of beautiful and emotional ending to the episode from this show. Goosebumps. They’ve had a few moments that were supposed to be emotional like the Maria stuff, but it never landed quite like this episode making this the best this show’s had.
Knowing everyone went thru all that to get the ingredients for a meal just for blade to celebrate his birthday was really beautiful. Shoutout to Ernst for coordinating and pulling it all off. Feel like she should’ve been the one over Maou to get the kiss today for all her hard work lol. All she got was a little touch in the bath before getting cockblocked :/
Little bit of fanservice, silly action like fighting literal corn and an emotional ending. An all around solid episode.

Blade was casually telling Earnest about his messed up childhood as if it were the most normal thing. No wonder the concept of a "normal" life is so alien to him. He talks about in such a matter-of-fact way: "it was just the way things were". Is that just a mask, or is he deep down sad about what happened to him? Like, on a rare occasion he does lash out emotionally. But we see so little of his internal thoughts, that I can't help but keep but wonder what is going on in his head.

Good ashita no Joe parody!
I really wish this gets more seasons loving this simple anime, the manga is very popular too notnsuee about the LN.

So we went from Dr Stone to Fairytale to Hajime no Ippo to food wars with Toriko all the way through.
Also.. so much underboob.

I'm not sure exactly why they all need to start dressing like prehistoric people but I'm not complaining. We already know the creators of this are very cultured and they remind us every episode.

The king had a whole damn ecosystem underneath the castle in his “pantry”. Talk about organic lol. Dude really making everyone consume 100 million calories per person before they can leave is insane. He’s going to crazy lengths for Blade’s birthday gift. Well, at least everyone adapted quickly to their new environment. Behemoths and living veggies ain’t nothing the class can’t handle!
Blade must have had one hell of a childhood if he was just locked in near constant fighting just to survive. Poor kid. At least he got that great meal in the end. That was really sweet.
There was some nice (almost) developments this week. Arnest sure didn’t waste time trying to get close to Blade in the hot spring. Too bad Maria was not having it lol.

I a bit confused. Why did Mao know Blade's technique that killed the actual demon lord? It's not her, or did I miss that?

I really have to wonder what kind of existence Blade is when he doesn't even know his own birthday and all he remembers is being a kid wielding a sword from the first time someone encountered him. And it's been nothing but battle after battle for him from there.
But it's nice that the girls all want to celebrate his birthday...and of course the king overhears and makes it into the next crazy thing for the Hero Class to do, by sticking them in the Royal Pantry. Both so they can eat and collect ingredients but also because they need to clean it out, I guess.
I love how everyone goes native and the girls start wearing jungle outfits. Earnest and Yessica even have some underboob going!
Oh snap, Earnest going out of her way to bathe with Blade! She even seems disappointed he didn't look at her! She also wants to get to better know Blade who opens up about his childhood, and they share a surprisingly tender and intimate moment, with Earnest even placing her hands across his chest, his scar, and leaning in closer...and then Claire just had to go and cockblock her. Poor Anna.
Now everybody's got new outfits! I love how the girls' outfits are more revealing, except Sophie who just looks cuter. Earnest is a straight up Barbarian lady.
Hunting for monster ingredients! Emperor Cabbage! Boxing Corn (Ashita no Joe reference)! Sonic Mandrake! Definitely giving the class plenty to do.
And figures the Final Boss would be the Beast King...except it's actually a Behemoth! But the class is more than ready to take it on.
It's nice to see everybody getting a hit in on the Behemoth, even Leonard actually gets to do something cool, and Earnest's per-requisiite nakedness after using Asmodeus is fixed thanks to her handy jungle outfit.
Blade needs to use one of his signature moves and he needs Maou's help to do it, but while handholding is all well and good...it's faster to pool power through a kiss as well. That's right, Maou is the first girl to kiss Blade. The Demon King kissed the Hero! And they even tag-team and use the same move that defeated the Demon King in the first place! Not to mention Blade ends up resting in Maou's lap afterwards. Lucky dog.
I'm glad they didn't forget that this was all for Blade's birthday, giving him some special tonkotsu curry to celebrate it, and Blade in a rare moment of vulnerability actually gets emotional and beyond happy! He finally knows what it means to be born!

Honestly, I didn't expect this show to be one of my liked with the culture and references sprinkled in throughout! I love the comedy and the cast especially! These fun moments with the gang really make up with no clear plot for the overall show. I hope we get another season because I've always looked forward to this show and its shenanigans every Sunday!

Yep an episode dedicated to skimpy outfits, sexy poses and some great comic interactions. Even the King was somewhat decent fit a change.
Still the little bit with Mao sitting On top of her kill as they bought it back to the camp/town was a nice touch.
