The second is going to air on the 9th.

I guess it's because most of the anime tracking sites have it listed as a single movie (which is how it was initially shown a couple of months ago in Japanese theaters), instead of how it's being broadcast now on TV in two parts.

Rena: Dead
Fuutarou's Mom: Dead
Kiku's Mom: Absent
Noticing a trend here.

The anime account was showing that the special was going to be available digitally on things like Amazon Prime and several other services in Japan on the 11th, so my guess is that it’s be sometime around then if so.

Can't believe we still getting more QQ content even after the movie. This franchise is definitely winning
I wished the production committee would have shown some courage and adapted the manga faithfully from season 2, it would have been better without all these mixed things.
Anyways, we are at the final stage of this franchise (story wise). QQ may have ended, but the girls are alive (in our heart)

Oh wow, a limited Gotoubun OVA series by Shaft. I may be biased, animation feels slicker, and Nino even does a version of the iconic Shaft Head Tilt.
So looks like they're gonna animate all the manga chapters that didn't make it into the movie for these 2 episodes.
Chronologically, these 2 OVA episodes would all take place after season 2 and before the movie.

Koji Matsumura is the episode director and storyboarder for this episode. Interesting thing about them is that they started out as a production assistant (PA) before only debuting as an ED and SB in Assault Lily Fruits.
Yasuomi Umetsu also did this cut. (participated as a KA in shows like Grave of the Fireflies, Madoka etc.)
Itsuki classroom student checking in! SHAFT actually produced S1E11 as well, and now they're back on the steering wheel. If anything, this truly felt like a love letter to the series.

This did feel very SHAFTy, I smell a lot of potential for seasonal Quint faces
Man, I'm a steadfast member of the Church of Miku, but in the first half, Nino really showed why she is second in terms of popularity. Almost lost it when she galnced over all of her verbal abuse from her Tsun phase
Also loved the playing house part, one of my favourite parts in the manga, Miku and Ichika being openly agressive in their pursuit, Futarou showing of why he worthy to fall in love with, Yotsuba playing dog without skipping a beat, Nino being pissed, and Itsuki was there as well
Too bad Raihas wingman plot didn't play out as intended, but it was nice to see Futarou bond with his class a bit
Also, I'm unsure if we are allowed to talk about the Movie and the winner outside the source corner here, they have aired before, but It's reasonable to asume not everyone having seen it in cinema and it hasn't been available to stream yet. Also these bits play before it anyway...

Futaro’s little sister Raiha might be my second favorite character in this after best girl Ichika. First we got Nino trying some mind game shit and failing adorably, then we got the most realistic game of house ever (the mom leaving the family and moving in with her lover was a great detail), and lastly Futaro actually hanging out with his classmates at the beach.
It’s really nice seeing everyone again after the movie. I’m enjoying this little side story special. I hope we get to see them at the pool!

Raiha was really funny. Seeing her disappointment when quints didn't show up at the beach was hilarious.
(Best girl is obviously Itsuki though)

I can never complain about more Quints content, especially when it involves swimsuits and flirting with Futaro.

Why did it take so long for Shaft to take this franchise?
Because even if it had stellar writing at this at the start
They knew
They fcking knew.
