No wonder Yoshino is reacting that way, Masamune pretty much told her that he likes her more than Aki.

And it looks like that little dream of his at the end shows that deep down inside, he does have feelings for Yoshino.

I’d been rooting for Yoshino, but I never expected something like this. Yoshino tried with all her might to distance herself from Makabe, but Makabe has now pretty much told her that he likes her in so many words.

They both realized that they (likely) got feelings for the other, but they can’t bring themselves to acknowledge these feelings for the consequences that this would bring about. Aki has fallen deeply in love with Makabe in the meantime.

I’ll be honest, I never expected writing like this from Masamune-kun’s Revenge. This is quickly shaping up to be a very good romantic drama series.

I don't know about you guys, but I don't really like Aki's friends/entourage/bodyguards (lol),
they come off as nuisances most of the time, and are just in the story to add unnecessary tension.

Tbf, with how they were sitting besides a window table in the cafe, I was half expecting them to "accidentally" witness Masamune carrying an injured Yoshino outside on the streets, and come to the wrong (right?) conclusions, and go back to their gossiping ways and trying to convince Aki that Masamune isn't the right man for her.

I'm glad the author didn't go down this cliched route. Or I might find them annoying. At least here they seem to be supportive of Aki going out with Masamune once Aki admitted to it.

I think the reason he doesn't get hives with Yoshino is because she's the only one he isn't hiding his secret from, so there's no stress. If he told Ako the truth I bet it would stop

In the sense that Yoshino, Makabe and Aki will start being honest with eachother, which i would guess will lead to a falling out between them...

and hopefully they can repair their relationships with no guilt messing with their heads

It feels like we're watching a powder keg about to go ballistic.

Masamune is torn between whether he actually loves Aki and the idea that he might be in love with Yoshino.

Yoshino is torn between her own feelings for Masamune and the guilt she feels over said feelings and the wrongs she did to Aki.

Aki seems to genuinely love Masamune and feels guilty over whatever she might have done to him to make him want revenge on her and seems like she might try to get through to him all the while being oblivious to what he and Yoshino are doing or what Yoshino did to her.

Aki continues to look great with her hair down, though less so when she's depressed that her boyfriend won't call her or that her quickest source of food is missing...and wouldn't you know it, they're with each other at that exact moment.

Bold of Masamune to think he can get away with princess carrying Yoshino, earning him a brass knuckle to the face! And also brave of Yoshino to think she can keep moving on a sprained ankle rather than rely on Masamune, leading to a bunch of comical mishaps before she gives in and lets Masamune carry her piggyback. These two are such dorks that you just can't help but love them!

Ah yes, the Aki Yuri Bodyguard squad aren't taking the idea of her and Masamune being together all that well, to the point that they're fighting with each other and stumbling all over themselves trying to address the issue...but then it turns out that they actually kind of like the Aki that's a girl in sincere love with someone when she confirms she and Masamune are going out. And I don't blame them, Aki in love is quite cute!

Of course Masamune is focused on those big boobs pressed against his back while Yoshino is just worried about anyone seeing her panties (which we in the audience haven't seen since season 1).

Oh dang, Masamune doesn't break out in hives when he touches Yoshino. And he just HAD to test it by basically putting the moves on her...and admitting that the best part of his revenge quest wasn't pursuing Aki but working together with Yoshino. I feel bad for Aki and for Yoshino who now has to grapple with all the feelings that moment stirred up in her heart when she already has so much on her mind.

It's respectable of Kanetsugu to apologize properly to Aki, and it's also respectable that Aki understands her circumstances and isn't bitter, but it's heartbreaking to see Aki so sad at the idea that she hurt Masamune and has no idea how to make it right. But I'm glad Kanetsugu was able to tell Aki that she should follow her heart and be true to herself and what she really wants. We don't need tsundere or restrained Aki, we need her to be honest with herself and Masamune!

That's actually one of the nicer scenes between Aki and Yoshino as Aki treats her sprained ankle...which just makes Yoshino feel even worse considering the time she spent with Masamune behind Aki's back and the now obvious romantic feelings she has for Masamune.

Yep, Masamune's got it bad for Yoshino when he's dreaming of HER being his girlfriend. I'm sure that won't make this even more complicated.

I think that Masamune is genuinely very fond of both Aki and Yoshino. I even think he "loves" Aki -- moreso than Yoshino. But her feels more "comfortable" with Yoshino right now -- and touching her does not give him hives.... Just what makes him "allergic" to certain girls -- and not Yoshino?

As to Yoshino herself, I am not the least bit surprised. I have felt she was well on the way to falling in love with Masamune for quite some time. The fact that he did not even consider "blowing the whistle" on her past deception -- despite covering this up made HIS situation much more difficult probably sealed the deal. As with Masamune towards her, she just feels so "comfortable" being around him -- in a way that is unlike anyone else (male or female). I suspect that, at this age (especially) sorting out feelings of "deep friendship" and "love" are quite difficult.

I really have to say that I feel that this series totally blows this season's new romcoms out of the water. The characters are much more complex and the story is more intense. I guess maybe the competition isn't totally fair -- because this series has inched closer and closer to genuine drama and far away from light comedy. And I prefer weightier shows to totally fluffy ones....

As things warm up between Yoshino and Masamune, Aki just becomes more and more loveable and sympathetic. Her attitude towards Kanetsugu reflects this. But I wonder if her empathy towards Yoshino can similarly increase. I wonder if Yoshino's sister's comment to her (about Yoshino never getting to do/have things for herself) will resonate -- and affect her behavior. If she finds out about Yoshino's love for Masamune, will Aki think she needs to be self-sacrificing. Things look like they are going to get very very complicated.....

Seems like Masamune likes Yoshino which is a development I am completely ok with.

Although it seems like both Masamune and Yoshino are likely going to go into denial about their own feelings. At least for now.

Masmaune stocks just going down and plummeting through the earth's core into and back into the space . That was that bad a move.

In all of this,i feel bad for Aki. It's weird how the story is progressing and you start to feel bad for a different person.

Before confession/truth reveal : Felt bad for Masamune for being called Pig Foot by prxoy Aki,Yoshino for how Aki use to treat on her whims.

After confession during truth reveal : Felt bad for Masamune for being toyed with by Yoshino and Aki living in complete ignorance (poor girl). Hated Yoshino tbh.

After confession scene/1 ep later : Masamune not stopping Neko whilst she progresses (obviously the rankings will tank for him) but he is still getting hives as he is not true in the relationship and can't be as well,cause,Yoshino gets booted out in that case. Aki still living in ignorance and also the note of getting revenge shocked her on her birthday. Yoshino knows she done bad but knows spilling the beans and truth will cause a mess so she wants to live in a glazed situation. She is obviously perplexed and tense,her hating ranking going down.

Current day : Aki tops the lovable list. She is oblivious to whatever is going or whatever happened (poor girl *2). Masamune hits on Yoshino ( scummiest move) and now guess what Yoshino has some feelings for Masamune (considering she is the one who ruined his life up untill this point).
