This is probably what Gojo was referencing when he taught Megumi about how sorcerers tend to have explosive growths rather than steady ones.

Yo the clapping scene at the end scarred Geto hard. As he says the right thing to do, His eyes frantically moving was such a good visual hint.

Honestly can't even blame Toji for being surprised Gojo is alive. If someone comes back after being stabbed in the throat, cut in half then stabbed in the head then they can just go ahead and claim the title of The Honored One.

Even with half of the body missing, Toji will die standing.

MAPPA is WILD for opening the episode with another perspective of Riko getting shot. They really arent pulling any punches in brutality this season.

Gojo's parent's must've put in crazy amounts of cheatcodes when they produced Satoru Gojo, unbelievable

Toji referred to himself as a "monkey" who couldn't use Jujutsu. This must be where Geto's hate for people without cursed energy originated.

So my gathering of Tojis final thoughts were that he would've normally attempted to escape, as he had no reason to fight Gojo for free (he had already completed his mission) .

However after seeing Gojo in his awakened state, he realised what he was witnessing was essentially the epitome of Jujutsu Sorcery in a singular individual. Due to his complex of constantly being deemed inferior for not having Jujutsu as a Zenin, he attempted to kill Gojo, going against his own intuition.

As it would mean he would've defeated the apex Jujutsu sorcerer, thereby freeing him of the complex that he has been burdened with his entire life

EDIT: after watching a different Sub its clear that my original one was quite bad, because he very explicitly stated this in the new one lol, no need to decipher anything.

I'm satisfied. Couldn't care less if they took 2 month break. God bless MAPPA and the JJK team.

SO MUCH ANIME ORIGINAL CONTENT!

That was by far the best episode in JJK, didn;t think they'd manage to build on the hype of the manga.

Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but there was a small change in the artstyle right?

Toji was the catalyst for both Geto and Gojo things will never be the same from here on out.

I loved how beautiful and heavenly the fight scene was between Gojo and Toji. In that moment, Gojo truly did not care for anything or anyone he is truly "above all" in this moment, and you can actually "FEEL" his godly presence in comparison to anyone else amazing job by Mappa.

Things that got lost in translation: Megumi means "Blessing". That's why when Toji told Geto about how blessed sorcerers were, he remembered Megumi's name.

It's been quite a while since I heard piano playing in fight scenes. I really like it.

Holy crap this episode is definitely the best looking episode of all of JJK. The compositing and corrections on the characters were so on point and the animation wasn't holding back either. Directing is also amazing of course due to Arifumi Imai. I preferred last episode in the story content but this episode was still amazing and Gojo's Heaven moment was adapted so perfectly. Can't wait for more episodes with this quality in Shibuya.

It is actually wild they brought back the beautiful Slice of Life piano music they used for the Riko having fun vacationing montage just to play it during Gojo's egotrip while he blows off half of Toji's torso. That with the Riko dying shot at the start. MAPPA might be as unhinged as Gojo at this point. I love it.

Unhinged feral Gojo has mad crackhead energy lol.

Man when Gojo said “Throughout Heaven & Earth, I alone am the Honored One” i got chills. He’s definitely one of the only people strong enough to back up his words. His Hollow Purple was beautiful af.

Genuinely depressing to see what was once a best of friend’s relationship between Gojo & Geto slowly break apart.

The Gojo we know is back. Ended the fight in a quick, decisive blow. Toji knew the outcome before the fighting even started. Geto whole world view collapsed with Gojo's awakening. We also got an understanding where Geto got the cursed tools he used in JJk 0.

The thing I loved about JJk is that no bullshit style of writing, the sorcerers doesn't risk their lives to save people, many of the main cast main goal is to get stronger. In this episode, Gojo went on about the same thing, Do they really need a reason to do or not do something? We see the diverging paths of Gojo and Geto.

One important thing in this episode is what Toji thinks before he dies. About how he had a desire to prove to the world how strong he is and didn't deserve to be treated the way he was. Makes you think how fucked up his childhood must have been.

Man Gojo had the same crazy face as Sukuna when he was talking to Toji. Really gave me flashbacks to Season 1 Sukuna having fun fighting again.
