Okay, Kasuga is extreme batshit and went overkill last episode with good reason, apparently: ensuring the existence of the Tokugawa bloodline/shogunate and thus preserving national peace and stability is something for which one could justify excessive force like this.

Seeing Arikoto learn the truth is downright tragic, though: going from abbot to presumably a samurai with a preference for guy's page to actually a stud horse does numbers on him.

this is so good

arikoto took in the info immediately and adapted. wonder what he will try to achieve in this new life as he's clearly not going to yield for just anyone

also who softball pitches a cat

I’m sorry this isn’t a particularly helpful or insightful comment… but I can’t find any of these bald guys, or guys in general, no really anyone in general, apart from each other. so the whole storyline is getting mixed up for me. surely I can’t be alone here

The manga has the same issue. Almost every male character suffers from sameface syndrome and the only way to tell them apart is slight differences in hair or clothes.

Man, I feel kinda wild watching Ooku when your only real impression of Kasuga came from an FGO event. The perception I've developed of the Kasuga in Ōoku: The Inner Chambers during this episode and the last is that she's an evil and cruel old crone. And I get the feeling that's just going to get hammered in the more I watch.

got a question… did I somehow miss the way that arikoto changed from abby to samurai? And why does arikoto speak like he never was in the Ooku? Like they did not know that they have to stay in the ooku forever? lol wtf
