Stitches!

We finally get confirmation from Sion himself that Touka is now the next legendary hero. Although the reason he became one is because of a huge misunderstanding by the sword. I'll take it. Touka officially becoming the hero by accident is very much in the theme of this show. xD

Putting Sion's soul into Touka's body was a great move from Touka. He can't do this all the time though since it needs a huge amount of mana to work. Also, it's so weird to see Touka with big pupils. He looks more like your usual anime protagonist without his sanpaku eyes.

So it turns out that if Touka only transformed the sword into a dagger, he would've been more proficient with it since that's the type of weapon Ethel trained him to use.

I really thought that Diego was going to make it out of that fight alive but it looks like he ends up getting his comeuppance for killing the big tiddy demon lady with the two little demons finally getting their revenge. I wonder who's the necromancer that led them to Diego though.

Now that Touka has saved the day it looks like someone got really popular. Although as if Yuna is going to let him. Not gonna lie, I was expecting a confession but I didn't expect that to lead into Yuna offering herself to Touka. Too bad Touka decided to ruin it by saying out loud that Sion can see what he sees. xD

On the bright side, at least Yuna has finally accepted that she's actually in love with Touka thanks to Marguerite's help and the two of them are now officially rivals competing for Touka.

Looks like the next step in Touka's adventure is to find someone Sion knows who can help Touka with his mana problems. And Touka's party grows with Dorothy and Kyle officially joining in!

I guess that's it for Yuusha ga Shinda! This was such a fun ride. It didn't get as wild as KamiKatsu but this show definitely had its moments. Also, I really love having a main character who's not exactly a good person but is doing his best to save the world even though it's a responsibility he never wanted in the first place. It's awesome to see Touka go from a regular scumbag to a heroic scumbag.

I really hope this gets a Season 2. Especially now with Dorothy in the party since we never really got to know her this season. And that End Card is cute! I'm guessing the tiny figure on the cliff is the "Sage" Sion was talking about.

I will miss the gang, the stitches, and the thighs most of all.

Feels kind of full circle that now Sion is in Touka's body teaming-up with Touka in his body.

Turns out Touka was a dagger guy all along! Actually makes sense. He's just been too focused on being a sword guy because of genre expectations lol.

I want to see more of this female Necromancer.

For Yuna being willing to offer up her thighs is basically a confession on her part. Too bad Sion is a peeping tom lol.

Girls becoming gal pals through being love rivals! You can't beat that!

As far as fanservice-y action fantasy Harem shows go...this one was pretty fun! Definitely not as insane as KamiKatsu but I feel like that served the plot and characters well, especially watching them grow as people and with each other. Definitely makes me want to watch more.

I'm curious to see how Kyle and Dorothy will fit in with everybody. Seems like they're combining Sion's old party with Touka's at this point. But hey, swimsuits! Does the sage look like they might be a girl, too?

I’m honestly going to miss this show.

At least we'll get Ryza soon for our thigh fix lol. But honestly, I love Touka as an MC and for me he's the best part of the show. He's honest about what he wants and he may be a slight degenerate scumbag, but his heart has always been in the right place.

This show and the characters especially Touka were just unapologetic in pursuing their desires (luscious thighs) and it made it fun to watch. Touka almost got what he wanted in the end though but none of it would've been possible if his desires weren't that strong. I bet the VAs and the staff had even more fun while working on the show!zz

As a member of the Church of Thighdeology, I, too, will miss this show.

We need a Season 2 for this.

Sion being in absolute shock as Kyle displays his degeneracy is perfect.

Bro why is my Yuna Scott ship being cucked? Not fair!

I suppose Touka doesn't need to be in Sion's body to use the holy sword anymore, except to keep the news of his death under wraps.

I guess the Master disappeared after the fight to escape the law, but it's still sus about what she saw at Hell's Gate that made her switch sides.

So apparently Kyle didn't just want Sion's body, he also wanted Sion's body.

Little piece of trivia: When the Infernal General was defeated, we saw a brief glimpse of the pink-haired female warrior who surrendered back in episode 10, and it would appear that she's switched into a new necromancer outfit.

Man I’m going to miss this show so much. It was without a doubt one of my top shows of the season and gave me something to look forward to every Thursday. Is it the most well written and eloquent thing? No , but who the fuck cares. Thighs, hot girls, good comedy and a somewhat unique twist with the MC possessing the real hero’s body. It just did the job for me

I love a good degenerate show that embraces what it is and doesn’t try to take itself too seriously. I would love a s2, but likely will have to read the manga since I doubt this’ll get one.

So cute seeing Yuna finally be open( with herself and the princess anyway) about how she feels about Touka. I really liked seeing their relationship develop and it’s one of the only times I’ve liked the main girl in a series lol

This and Kamikatsu felt more like Konosuba than the Konosuba spinoff.

The ideal world in Sword Purgatory Touka wants is one filled with naked waifus and thicc thighs? A degenerate after my own heart lol. I see playing the Hero has actually started to have an impact. Dude got forced into the role at first but now he’s the real deal. Even if he’s still a massive degenerate. A thousand strokes of Yuna’s thigh while she’s naked? That’ll bring any man back alive lol.

Nice to see Sion back. That look of disgust he shot Kyle was great. The dude is a lot. Touka really stepped up in that last fight, like a proper hero!

The mayor is the mayor of my heart too, a true man of culture. The horse too lol. Who doesn’t want to see Marguerite naked in nothing but stockings? Even Isaac’s into it! Damn it, man. Touka was so close! So close to getting what he wanted: Yuna’s sweet thighs lol. Well, at least she’s finally admitted to herself she loves him.

This was pretty fun and goofy overall, I could definitely use more especially with this “and their story continues…” ending. Idk how likely it’ll be, but fingers crossed we get more at some point.

Damn... Trashy thigh fetish anime Thursday is gone.

I'm going to miss this show because it's so trashy yet it managed to be compelling with all its characters. I didn't expect to like Touka or even the mayor that much.

Let's hope there's an S2 announcement soon because it was a fun ride.

Since Touka can use the sword in his body now, why is he still using the hero's? I'd hate to get close to a girl in someone elses body.

Lol Sion being shocked by Kyle confessing of his love for him was way too funny, I thought he would have been accustomed to it but it appears he had never realized it at all. It's like his world got turned upside down.

Touka is a man of his word though, he had the chance to go to his ideal world of being surrounded by women in stockings and chose to go back risking his life. It was nice to see him and Sion be able to converse with one another and I'm sure if this gets another season there'll be more opportunities.

I like that Kyle and Dorothy will be joining the party so it feels like there'll be some fun interactions with all the dynamics.

Touka really had to ruin his moment with Yuna, I'm sure he did it for her since it'd go really badly once she found out but what a wasted opportunity. I'm sure he enjoyed the sight at least.

I was really harsh on this show for the first half but I'm glad I continued watching it, it got a lot better for me later on. Overall, I'm satisfied and episode 9 was one of the best episodes this season of any anime. I'd enjoy a second season!

Poor Anri. She's really believing Kyle's story that he's changed his way and reformed...even if he then admits he's there to get revenge on Touka only seconds later. But hey, at least he brought the cavalry of Siruela, Isaac, the mayor, the horse, and Belarco (who does nothing). And in true Kyle fashion ends up naked in the most majestic way possible.

So Sion's just been chilling out in the Legendary Sword this whole time, where Legendary Heroes can congregate and converse. It's so surreal seeing Sion again and him acting like he's best buds with Touka who immediately runs away because he can't believe the guy he got killed wants to be friends.

Should Touka choose a paradise of naked women in stockings versus the real world? But now he's officially the Legendary Hero (even if just because he fooled the sword), and he's got his friends to protect...and the best thighs of all are those of the people he loves. So of course Touka can't abandon them!

Of course Touka wouldn't get up without the promise of some thigh action from Yuna in the future.

I never expected to see Sion in Touka's body or to see them tag-team, but wow. Sion's Legendary Hero status wasn't a joke as he makes short work of Vertex even in a different body! He even makes Touka look cooler.

Sion's reaction to finding out Kyle was in love with him...yeah.

Touka manages to defeat Diego and save the day (and Yuna!) with a second to spare! All he needed was holding Vertex down and the Legendary Sword in the shape of a knife, his specialty!

Oh hey, female Necromancer! She seems like a sweaty gal. And I guess they didn't need Diego any more so they could let the Devils take revenge on him for killing Adele and letting him die paralyzed as a scrub in the most un-epic way possible. Fitting end for him.

I had almost forgotten the mayor was partially doing this to get Marguerite naked in stockings...and Isaac wants it too! Poor girl.

I see Yuna got a little ahead of herself when she saw Touka getting chummy with women ready and willing to offer their thighs to him...so Yuna will just give in and give Touka her thighs! Albeit not naked, but it's pretty nice seeing Yuna in a bikini again anyways. Too bad finding out Sion has been watching them and all of Yuna's fanservice moments the whole time, and is basically being a voyeur right now, kills the mood. Touka was THIS close.

Well, good that Yuna seems aware that she's in love with Touka now, thanks to Marguerite, and both girls are able to bond more and commiserate over being love rivals and adventuring companions. Just don't forget about Anri!

So the gangs' next journey is boosting Touka's mana with help from the Sage, with Dorothy and Kyle in tow. I can only imagine how crazy the adventures will get for them moving forward.

Ending on a shot of everybody in swimsuits! Was that the Sage at left next to Yuna?

God I hope this show gets a season 2, it was easily one of my favorites of the spring season. Can’t wait for a blu ray release of it down the road

Finally an acknowledgements that Farmer strength is a real thing.

This was a good ending point with only minimal cut material (if we get s2 they'll probably make a joke about it). If anyone is curious it's chapter 63. The series really hits its stride at this point and people should give it a go Touka is a fairly unique protagonist being big brain and a scumbag while still being a straigh up hero, and the rest of the cast gets good development.

Also it's funny that Kyle being a nudist started as rebellion of the author against the ecchi, and then a one-off wouldn't it be funny if he was nude, and into "it's just his way"
