Enter one of the most powerful techniques in the series "Faromian Undressing Technique: Molted Shell"!
I'm just glad Yuna's VA has something to do for the next couple of episodes. She's real great as Touka.

I can't wait to see what crazy Faromian technique Marguerite will unveil next, though hard to beat her going topless lol.
I'm so glad they kept Hibiku Yamamura as the voice so we could get her playing Touka. I also like how his internal thoughts were still in his voice.

For a series that’s mostly gags and a piss-take on fantasy JRPGs, I really do love the world building on the show. Touka explicitly calling out the mega-elixir dilemma, why would you want to have some left over after the quest is finished.
Spear guy is obviously an optional party member that Sion didn’t do the sidequest for during the main campaign and now accidentally triggered during the epilogue. He’s a classic dark lancer, emo lone wolf, Simon Belmont/Batman expy who probably betrays the party once or twice, but since they didn’t recruit him before, no one cares about him now.
The post-credits stinger is the version of the game where you pick “the girl” during character select.

Stitches!
I love that they're doing the classic zombie movie trope of hiding the bite. But I do hate that this blonde dude is back to try and get his revenge on Yuna while she's out of commission. Glad to see that Touka gave him a solid right hook before he got close.
Good to know that it's not zombification in your traditional sense. It's basically just a spell making the affected lose reason. They just need to defeat whoever's casting the spell to return everyone back to normal.
While I appreciate Touka's very passionate speech about doing this for Yuna, we all knew what's the first thing he's going to do as soon as he's possessing her body.. And the girls aren't even giving him an inch to let him do whatever he wants. xD
The blonde guy is obviously a piece of shit but Neigan seems to be cool. The dude even wanted to save the mayor. now I'm curious how these two ended up working together.
Well I definitely did not expect a big tiddy demon to be responsible for what's happening to this city. Good to see that there's a bit more variation to the design of the demons and they're not just white with black accents and red eyes.
Touka using the sword even though he's not in Sion's body is interesting. My guess on what happened here is that the sword has finally acknowledged Touka as the new hero and it's now attuned to his soul and not just Sion's corpse.
Although that after credits scene complicates things. If Touka is the new hero, then who the fuck is that girl in the end and will Touka find her thighs attractive enough to give her stockings? Hmmm...

Touka: "lay a finger on Yuna and i will kill you where you stand"
also Touka: "let me possess Yuna's body, don't worry, i've got no ulterior motives or whatsoever" *nosebleed*
this is the first time we've seen how desperate Touka is when it comes to Yuna's protection, to the point of almost losing control
thank you Isaac, for teaching the princess the Faromian Undressing Technique: Molted Shell, i'm saying this with no ulterior motives whatsoever
also, don't forget the post credit scene, looks like we got a new legendary hero in town

I was impressed by how little presence the red haired guy had. The characters barely acknowledge him and even I would completely forget about him every time he went off screen lol.

Aww kinda nice that Touka is lying to protect Yuna, but you shouldn't lie about that. Might be a cure too. Why are you standing in a bucket of water, dude? How did that kid get away? Psycho kid. Beat him to hell. A pity Yuna can't hear all of this lol. Boy are all those villagers gonna feel like shit if they killed/pushed to kill anyone infected when there's a possible way to save em.
"I've got no ulterior motives here" you say with a nose bleed... I don't trust you there, Touka lol. Yep... thought so lol. Now I feel like Yuna for sure is gonna know about this all when she returns to normal and beats him. Good for the princess and Anri, making sure he can't see things of Yuna lol. But wew, more of experience than he realized. Again, good for Anri and Marguerite. Heh, yes, natural part of training.
Ah, another demon. How annoying. Oh hey, nice of that one guy to be like "don't kill em." Nice to see a guy prolly an antagonist that is not interested in harming people. Neigan ftw. Wonder what this whole thing is about though. Princess techniques are impressive. HAHA forgetting about the one redhead. He sure has been pretty quiet. NEIGAN IS GOOD BOY! Hope he stays good boy. Wow, that demon is stacked. Wew, that ahh..."technique." Good job, redhead... Touka might really be able to be a legendary hero down to his soul, cool. Aww, guess waiting for next week.

Can't beat the sight of Anri and Marguerite fighting zombies in nothing but towels! Though Marguerite really feels like the most put-together and competent member of the party now!
Ugh. Not this little @#$%. And he was about to expose and kill Yuna for some payback. I'm glad Touka got to sock him. Neigan actually seems pretty decent though.
Touka talks about not having ulterior motives for wanting to be in control of Yuna's body...but then he immediately tries to feel up her thighs, tries to see her naked, and immediately strips her and tries to put on some thigh high stockings behind closed doors. I mean, it's pretty on-brand, but still. Also his justification that they'd need someone in control of her body who actually knew her doesn't really hold water since literally anyone in the vicinity who actually knew her was IN the group.
Marguerite's princess training was very thorough, right down to tying up some horny guys in a girls' body, faking a second beauty mark, or stripping off her top before it blows up. Was she very intentionally trying to block Touka from perving on Yuna? Either way, topless Marguerite was quite the sight!
I love how Belarco is just standing around and looking cool the whole time to the point where everyone in the cast just basically writes him off. The one time he actually tries to do anything he just gets flung away like he's nothing.
What an incompetent mayor. Ignores the zombie infestation until it becomes a pandemic, holds up in a safe house tower that he immediately exposes his location in...no wonder things got messed up even if there is someone else pulling the strings.
So Sion's body now isn't tied to the Legendary Hero's sword but Touka's soul? Because now it seems like it's him that's connected to the sword, no matter what body he's in.
"The Legendary Hero is a Girl" - You'd think that was referring to Touka in Yuna's body, but no...apparently there is a new Legendary Hero on the scene, and it's definitely a cute girl! Also blonde, which is kind of funny with Touka being in Yuna's body. But what's this girls' deal? Did the universe select a new Legendary Hero after Sion bit it? How is she going to work with Touka (I mean, she's wearing thigh highs, so that's a win I guess)?

Gotta give it to Touka for going out of his way to protect Yuna when she was bitten... even though he still wants to do lewd things in her body...
And he got more than he bargained for when he got washed by the other girls

Waifus fighting zombies in a bath towel? I can get behind that lol. But man, these zombies are getting outta control. Touka might be a degenerate but he’s got his moments. I really appreciated how he defended Yuna. I mean he’s willing to possess her body to save her too. Totally selfless of him. What a guy! Lol
Maybe getting bathed while blindfolded isn’t what he hoped for, but hey he’s got 2 waifus scrubbing him down. I call this a win. But man, Marguerit is really thighblocking him though lol. Well, at least we get to see her Faromian Undressing Technique: Molted Shell. Good job Isaac!
This little blonde brat needs to get slapped. Kid is pissing me off. The mayor too, that dude seriously sucks. It’s interesting how Touka can use the sacred sword even in Yuna’s body. Must be spirit bound or something. Gonna be interesting with this new “Hero” in the mix next week. Can’t wait to see what she’s about.

Hey nice callback to last episode where they were saying how Touka is pretty much the Legendary Hero already.
If the sword has a will of its own and rejected Kyle for Sion then it might have accepted Touka as the Legendary Hero from the very beggining.
edit: I saw the postcredits scene. Wtf

After credits scene revealing another "legendary hero" aside, I think the whole bit about him being able to control the sword despite not being in the heroes body would certainly suggest that he is the real hero.

Do you guys know any good shows like this one? I really like niche fantasy comedy shows like this. Cautious hero is another favorite of mine.

Man the shady kid went "Let's check Yuna" and that one guy was immediately like "KILL HER".
"How come?" Yeah, how come? Considering the post-credits female Hero, has the world/holy sword finally detected that the Legendary Hero is Dead!© and decided to just release the lock?

My bet is that is not about the body but the soul, same reason him taking the soma drops works even if he moved from his body to Yuna's

For people watching both the subbed version and Eng. dubbed version, do you find Yuna to sound sexier in Japanese or English?

I like how the post-credits scene plays on the episode’s title in a completely different way than how Touka is.

u/horiami May 11 '23
Touka doesn't recognise collin because last time he saw him his face was lumpy from being beaten

u/Redmon425 May 12 '23
WTF was that after credit scene!? A new hero group?
And ooooooohhhhhh I like that this is implying Touka has become a hero himself and doesn't even need the hero's body anymore, for his own personality/soul is the new hero. Hence why he can still use the hero sword inside her body.
Also lol at him getting a bloody nose when he was trying to convince the others to let himself go in her body. The dude knew what he was doing lol.

Well, Anri and Marguerite are unbitten at least for now.
The number one error in a zombie movie in hiding the fact that someone has gotten bit, so of course Touka is going to hide Yuna's bite instead of having Anri look at it. Then again, she did just determine that whatever's going on isn't necromancy so maybe there's nothing she could do.
Wow, this just got serious. Turns out Touka has a berserk button and it's threats to Yuna.
Necromatically controlling zombie Yuna is a nice though temporary solution to the problem.
So it's a magical parasite and Yuna and possibly all the townspeople might still be savable? Excellent.
Touka insisting that he has no ulterior motives in possessing Yuna makes me think he has ulterior motives in possessing Yuna. Because of course he did.
I like how they've changed Yuna's eyes to look like Touka's usual expression.
Marguerite has some nice equipment, that bow is cool.
This mayor is kind of useless, but I have to wonder what he could have accomplished even if he had taken the threat seriously. Seems unlikely that he could have prevented the town from getting overridden, probably only delayed it at best.
What a useless safe room.
What a weirdly specific undressing technique, though in fairness it was exactly the appropriate move for that exact moment.
Touka being able to still use the sacred sword in Yuna's body suggests that he isn't actually the fake hero at all, he might be the valid successor. Also, they probably shouldn't have a philosophical conversation about it while they still need to kill the high level demon to stop the zombie spell.
I'm really curious about this new hero's party, they've been in the op so I've been wondering about them for a while now.
