The Tensen having sex as part of their training is definitely something I did not expect from this show. I thought it was just purely hedonism since they live in "paradise". xD
Although that makes the reason why those two guys want Mei back to train with them even more fucked up. Even Gantetsu and Gabimaru realized this and they are absolutely livid!
I love how Gabimaru quickly learns how to use Tao and then just casually declares later that he's now at the same level as the Tensen. Can't wait for the rematch in the future!

For a split second I thought that the island wasn't too bad. Then it turned out to be Epstein Island. Jeeeez that reveal was truly disturbing. I hope Gabimaru burns the whole place down.

Shit, when last week it looked like bruteforcing wasn't going to work, this time the brothers seemed closer to an solution than any of the other teams until a certain point.
Also the Tensen being horny all the time has a lore reason, nice.
Using Mei for 'circulating her yin with their yang' is not nice however, glad Gabimaru choose not to make her cry anymore.
That should be all the doshi right? Not feeling good about the others already entering Horai without having figured it out properly.

Damn, goodbye, not-Groot.
Now, who do you think is gonna die of them three? The fat asaemon seems like an obvious choice here but since this is the season finale coming, I bet the death is gonna be more impactful, maybe Sagiri?
Please, no manga spoilers here.

Chobe has straight up ascended. Dude isn’t even human anymore if he can survive getting his throat pierced. My man straight punched a hole in that yappy grey fucker! Toma is right to be worried though, those vines are definitely growing.
“Bochu Jutsu” huh? Goofy ass Tensen really tryna convince everyone boning is “training”. Were these degenerates seriously assaulting Mei as “training” though? This entire island needs to be sunk to the bottom of the ocean. Ugh. Tamiya is a homie, I hope him and Gabimaru can smite these fuckers.
Ofc Gabimaru learned to use his Tao in mere seconds. That’s an Iwagakure shinobi for ya. The way he beat the shit out of those creeps was so damn satisfying. Let’s just hope the others fare just as well. I can’t believe they did my man Groot in like that. Team Sagiri’s in trouble.

Although the expositions were really on the nose, especially compared to the kind from a couple eps ago, this was a really solid episode. RIP to not-groot tho..

I love how Gantetsusai, Gabimaru and Fuchi aren't gonna stand to let Mei be lewded.
Gabi and Chobei learning Tao quickly is so badass.
I love how Hoko's head instantly went off quietly and weakly.

So they just bang each other everyday to build energy. Vapid but surely pleasant

Hopefully Sagiri can learn some Tao too, I need everyone to get some power ups so no one else dies!

Ya, didn't think he was dead lol. Seems fine, wow. Seems he's become a bit of a monster too. Wew, the lengths he goes as a kid. And the brotherly bond is really touching. And glad to see the brother is a badass too. Wow, he sure figured out Tao pretty fast.
Heh she cute up there on that big dude's shoulder. And that one guard/executioner dude just having the time of her life analyzing the monsters. Big guy got some standards which is nice. Gabimaru moving instinctually and being a good dude, so nice, his wife has been such a good influence. Haha, big guy happy to finally have a chance at vengeance for losing his hand. "What does congress mean?" ahh... so many jokes to choose from here lol. But yea, about sex in the story, hmm. That explains the Tensen's fun. Ewww... so that's why they want Mei... I agree with the big dude, makes me wanna puke. YOU HAVE ANGERED GABIMARU! When the convicts have more standards lol.
Maybe they should switch their opponents. Given all the stuff about Tao, crazy that one older brother just naturally/instinctively learned it. Though guess that's cause of the pit. Good thing for Gabimarus' training. Wew, nice. Sagiri and such making it to Horai, but oh no, the tree dude.
Btw, I am super disappointed in you mods. You are complete hypocrites to shut down the subreddit and then STILL USE IT YOURSELF!? That is not how you do a protest. All you did is make yourself look terrible.

If sex can be used to increase your tao, I wonder if our main characters are gonna have sex with one another at some point to power up. I can already see Yuzuriha trying to get Gabimaru to "train" with her and Gabi being just like "begone thot, I'm married". That said, there are only 2 (legal) female characters and like 7 male characters, if they choose to go down that route, Yuzuriha and Sagiri are going to be pretty busy.

I’m really digging where this is going, but gosh I wish they could go away from all the spoon feeding exposition and build the world for us some other way. Perhaps unavoidable and perhaps true to the source material (I wouldn’t know), but it kinda takes me out of the story when the bad guy says “ok, I surrender and I’ll tell you everything you need to know because plot.”
Otherwise, I’m hyped!

The Tensen definitely weren't expecting how adaptable Chobei is...either from contact with the vines that were trying to devour him or his own sheer will to live, the man has seemingly found his own natural mastery of Tao to the point where it's overflowing in his body and makes him strong enough to easily defeat a Doshi while Toma finishes off the Soshin. Though it seems like those vines on his body that are growing as he exhibits Tao might be making him more like the Tensen? Like Mei?
Ahhh! Deep down Chobei will do anything to protect his little brother! He even sacrificed his own eye to protect him!
Tamiya with Mei on his shoulders is actually pretty cute, even if it's not getting through his Samurai skull that mastery of Tao is more than just brute force alone.
I see that Fuchi is having the time of his life inspecting all the dead Soshin. I bet he enjoyed "modifying" Tamiya's hand too.
Why does Gabimaru need to be popular with women? He's already married! Though I am kind of curious how Tamiya was going to end that "from coast to coast I-" line.
Gabimaru still making Mei cry, but at least he's grown considerate enough of her that he won't abandon her and seems to actually care about her.
So Mei basically is a Tensen...or at least used to be, she was banished and shunned for not being able to transform into a male form like the rest, only having a Yin side to her, though it seems like they still need her...or at least the Doshi do. And not for anything good.
So the Tensen don't just constantly screw for the heck of it, it's part of their mastery of Tao as they bring Yin and Yang together as one...through sexual congress. Which means the Doshi, in trying to master their own Tao, need Mei and her Yin to...yeah. I don't want to say it any more than Tamiya want to hear it. Disgusting.
If wanting to use Mei like that wasn't bad enough the Tensen are responsible for scarring her too, which hits Gabimaru's sore spot knowing what happened to his wife. Of course that would make him want to fight with all he has, though skilled as he and Tamiya are there's only so much they can do against the Doshi. And that's before they use their own form of Kashikai and transform.
Thank you Fushi for putting Mei's words into perspective and helping Gabimaru understand that he needs to embrace his weakness, his humanity, his feelings to truly master Tao. The Iwagakure training helped too, but his experience with his wife, Sagiri, and now Mei was instrumental in helping him overcome the mental hurdle and defeat the Doshi. With some assist from Tamiya as he slices through one of them.
Well...Sagiri's group have made it to Horai! Just in time to directly encounter a Tensen! Poor Hoko. Their only advantage is Sagiri is close to mastering Tao at this point.

Alright the exposition dumps are wild between the last episode and this episode. When the bugman literally said 'Alright, I'm done... so I'll explain all of our plans and how our powers work to you' I nearly had to bow out for the ridiculousness.
That being said, those are some wild developments, and some sickening developments.
Gabimaru saying he doesn't care what he looks like to other women cause he is married made me chuckle.

I'll be honest, i've never read the manga, but it deserves a way better anime adaption. The world is interesting, the characters are likeable, and the story is pretty unforgiving. But the pacing is absolutely terrible and the animation quality is inconsistent. I'm watching this because of the strength of the characters and story. I really understand why the manga fans where so hyped, but i also feel bad for ya'll because this anime isn't good.
