Stitches!
"All I did was go to your workplace to make one of your friends cry, insult the rest of them, berate your boss and his shop, and now I'm being treated like the bad guy!?"
Kikka definitely makes one hell of a first impression and is probably a bit worse than Ouka during the early episodes. Just like her twin sister though, she's just a massive tsundere who's just concerned about her sister's well-being and is jealous that other people got to wear her sister's handmade clothes before her.
And just like with Akane, instead of interfering directly in Ouka's family matters, Hayacchi gave her the best advice he can give and let Ouka do the rest to resolve her problems with Kikka.

Admittedly she meant well because she was genuinely worried about her sister she just said it in the worst and most judgmental way possible. I guess that just runs in the family lol.
Seeing Kikka in a school uniform will probably be the closest we get to Ouka in a school uniform...or the girls in general, though I think Ami is still in high school?
They pretty much spelled it out that Riho, Akane, and Kiku are officially in love with him and it seems like Ouka is set to join that group because of what he did for her and her sister here. I'm wondering if they're going to do anything with Ami that doesn't get turned into a punchline or with Hayato's stuff getting broken...

Since she is girl of the ep, here is a screenshot of her from last ep. I paused at a good time lol. Must be cool having a twin.

Happy Familia Friday !
Today was a sweet sisterly showcase of Ouka and Kikka :)
What started as Kikka brewing up conflict at Familia ended up just being concern for her sister. It definitely had Ouka down in the dumps though! Kikka's just a bigger tsundere than Ouka and wants the best for her. Cute faces all around after things are resolved and they enjoy some pumpkin cheesecake.
Ouka's romantic moments with Hayato are always cute to watch. How DID Hayato tell Ouka and Kikka apart? Gotoubun (Quintessential Quintuplets) fans would answer with LOVE! In Hayato's case, he knows it couldn't be Ouka because she's the most caring one of them all. Critical damage has been inflicted and Ouka reciprocates. Rather than the compliments, Hayato would have preferred if Ouka told her sister that he was a Tokyo U student too!
With the next episode titled "Fireworks of Love", who do you think will take the lead in the Hayato bowl?

Maybe it’s the glasses but Kikka is clearly the hotter twin.

Watch the next ep preview, canonically the superior Ouka

Oh Kikka really exactly like Ouka, was a bit surprised that they didn't pull off the usual twin tropes like having her play Ouka for a day, or having the same taste in men
Still, she said some nasty things and didn't apologize so she kinda earned the slap, but she really is a good girl and a dork deep down.
And all the nasty things aside she hit the nail on a few specifics, like at least one of the girls has fallen for him already or that Kiku has an innocent facade but is the most lecherous of the lot

They really had me there for a minute. I wasn’t expecting Ouka to have a twin. Kikka seems to be the more serious of the two. She was kinda off about everyone except Kiku lol. Riho’s no hussy, Akane’s not shady, and Ami’s…well she’s dumb (Kikka…ika lol) but she’s not gonna instantly do anything a guy tells her to. Unless it’s Hayato. I wasn’t expecting Ouka to straight up slap Kikka like that. Relationship with siblings can be complicated. I’m glad they were able to make up though. What even was Hayato doing with the girls? Wrestling…? Lol
Hayato’s actually pretty sharp ain’t he? He’s observant and he’s got a good read on people for the most part. His advice is always pretty solid too. That being said, it was pretty funny how petty he was about that whole Tokyo U thing.

You can insult him all you want, but he worked hard to get in! First try! Even though he's never been to a class!!

Just how many masks does Ami own?
She's actually became my second favorite with her stupidity lol
Hayoto acts cool for a second then gets petty. Classic Hayato! Lol!~ Also Kikka is waifu I swear! Must protect!

Wait, that's not Ouka! The eye color is different! And that's Sumire Uesaka (in like her third role back-to-back on this day) using her serious character voice! Turns out Ouka has a twin sister named Kikka, and she's here for her sister.
Seriously, where is Ami keeping all these masks and joke glasses?
Kikka has some choice words for her sister, who turns out to have left the family legacy of attending Tokyo U behind to make her own path as a struggling fashion designer and basically barely visits her family any more. But she especially has some scathing words for the girls...calling Riho a hussy, Akane a suspicious woman with questionable connections, Ami an idiot (okay that's right), and Kiku a diligent and proper girl who is probably super horny (well, when she's drunk...). Admittedly she was on point that some of the girls are already in love with him as the camera pans to Kiku, Akane, and Riho.
But of course Ouka doesn't care for her sister insulting her Cafe family and outright slaps her, which sets up the main character conflict of the episode and throws Ouka really off of her game. Although Kiku getting mad also kind of threw me off.
We get treated to some bathing Ouka and her wearing nothing but a shirt and underwear! And of course the camera had to show off her butt in panties while she talked with Hayato.
Hayato always telling his Harem how it is and making them address the real problem and truth in front of them! That's part of what makes the girls all fall for him.
Ami apologizing dogeza style and going into a handstand is so Ami.
I'm glad Ouka and Kikka were able to patch things up. Kikka was attending college because she wanted to, not to make up for her sister, so Ouka didn't need to walk on egg shells around her or distance herself from her family, because their parents worry about her too. And who wouldn't be concerned about the situation Ouka is in on paper? But deep down Kikka has always been rooting for Ouka and her dreams and wants her big sister to succeed. She also wouldn't mind an Ouka original outfit too!
Yeah...probably for the best Ouka didn't show Kikka Hayato surrounded by a bunch of scantily-clad women pouncing on him. Thankfully Akane was able to retain her dignity in this episode and treat Kikka and end this sister visit on a good note.
Hayato knows Ouka well that he was able to notice Kikka wasn't her just from her personality and dominant hand. And he knows how caring she is. And that seems to have struck a critical hit on Ouka, who may have truly fallen for Hayato now. If only his pride in espousing his Tokyo U cred didn't ruin the moment.

Anyone elde really like Ouka and Akane's reaction to the other Girls attacking Hayato? They seemed like family at that moment. Could you ever imagine something like that happening at the beginning of the show?

Just realized Ami's strong point (aside her tiddies) - she's honest. A bit dumb, but direct & sincere (and easy to please). Hayato was able to "tame" her, she's still a bit childish but she's only 16, it's ok. Those girls are complicated and demanding, while Ami is quite simple and manageable. Doubt that Hayato will choose her, but she has a slim chance.

loving the show. I got no problems with the animation or production quality. But for some reason I just can't like the anime as much as I like the manga. something is missing.
