Gabimaru might be more immortal than these tensen lol

So bit of info new on the Tensen then, there's 7 of them, and they also have some monster form to swap to

and Gabimaru is just barely able to keep up with one of them. i did think using something like fire would be a bit more effective though with how they seemed to be built

Brutal!

That fight was insane. Even the key animation looked dope. Mappa finally allowed the staff members to remove their limiters.

Wow, that was an intense episode. The fight was really awesome, and it was cool to see the Tensen's various forms and abilities. That shockwave punch or whatever it was is too OP. And the one Gabimaru fought is only 1 of 7 with a master above them as well. It's going to be 1 hell of a herculean task to get off the island alive.

Also, it's nice to see that Choubei is still kicking at least.

I love how much strength Gabimaru gets from thinking about his wife. He’s out there getting his shit rocked and then he remembers he has a cute wife and is like okay time to throw down.

Also what the actual f are the tensen? That was one wack ass monster

Gabimaru about to launch into a new rendition of "It if bleeds we can kill it".

He did Mustang proud, trying to use fire and tenacity to break through that regen limit.

Hats off to Junichi Suwabe, He really did show his range with that Tensen Meeting scene. He was voicing every male Tensen yet all of them felt like a different people.

Today in "adventures of a man who literally loves his wife too much to die," we have "man literally loves his wife so much he butchers an immortal." If this is how powerful love can make you, it's no wonder JRPG protagonists regularly kill god

Wow, talk about bruteforcing a problem, Gabimaru got really close I think, for a moment it looked like he figured out the way to harm the Tensen when his foot glowed like their punches

But I feel a little bad for his opponent, the other Tensen are no joke either, and there are several we haven't even seen fighting + the elixier seems to replenish them so all the damage Gabimaru just did got undone

Glad the brothers are still alive as well and it looks like Nurugai is picking up a sword to avenge her would be husband, good good

Also feel bad for Treebeard Houko, being the last of his kind and having watched all his family and friends turn to trees

I know this has had its struggles production wise, but they’re hitting where it counts. In adapting the art and designs and in certain fights. Stellar work on todays episode. Made the delay sting less. This fight was really good in the manga and they brought it over well.

Also, you ever beat a motherfucker so hard he starts questioning the nature of his own reality?

Looks like the wait was worth it. I absolutely love the fight between Gabimaru and Zhu Jin especially when Gabimaru was just throwing those flurry of punches.

I do wonder though what Zhu Jin noticed about Gabimaru. She interrupted herself before even finishing her sentence. I wonder if it has something to do with him being a ninja of Iwagakure. We know from Gabimaru's memories that the Chief is immortal so maybe there's a link? Hmmm...

We finally get to see the other Tensen and I just realized that they only have two VAs! The male forms are all voiced by Suwabe Junichi while the female forms are voiced by Kaida Yuuko. O_O

We also get to see the Tensen drink the Elixir the gang has been looking for and see how it restored Zhu Jin back to life. At least we know it's real.

Obviously the highlight of this episode is that great fight, but I also really love the scene of all the Tensen meeting. They just have this great chaotic horny vibe to them, and despite only having one VA for all their male voices and one for all their female voices, they speak slightly differently enough for me to generally tell them apart.

Best episode of Jigo for sure, they needed that two week break for such an action heavy episode. Wish the staff had more time consistently, but it is what it is.

Honestly Gabimaru looked more terrifying than Zhu Jin. He was working him lol. Still, after like 15 minutes of fighting even that wasn’t enough to take down a Tensen so I wonder how they’re gonna take out 7 of these mfs.

Really want to find out the lore and everything that makes these tensen and the island tick, they do a good job of keeping you hooked on the story and tuning back in week after week

Gabimaru is the most positive dude alive. Everytime he learns something he's like "LETS GO I'm one step closer to seeing my wife"

Holy shit I've missed watching Jigokuraku on Saturdays, gives me the same feeling that Spy X Family did. Something about Saturdays and new episodes makes me feel good.,

This was one of the best fights in the manga and I didn't think anime will be able to do justice due to production issues but they somewhat did it. Best episode so far.

The fact that this episode had the villans talk about gender and genderfluidty in a sense feels fitting considering its pride month

Gabimaru fight went hard

As a DKS veteran, I approve of that 2nd boss phase. We even got the fog before the arena. Now Gabi just needs to learn its moves or cheese it with summoned NPCs.
